Hi Mummies
Big Hello to mel23
Bubbs , poor little thing......with Jess we had to make up 200mls of Dioralyte and give her no more than 5 mils every 5 minutes.I did that for an hour as soon as we were admitted to hospital. This got some liquid and minerals etc in to her tummy without it being expelled straight out by the very irritated sore gut. I felt I must try and get her to take an ounce at a time but was told in hospital to only try 5 mils (in an oral syringe) at a time.
She was so thirsty that the syringe was no problem. It really did settle her tummy enough to tolerate more and more and then she had watered down milk etc. It was a slow process though.
good luck and big hugs to you.

good morning juniesSmile

me23 - welcome! and yes keep thinking about baby n2, not much time left but cant start just yet. i think its mostly hormones, but i would like to get dd a sibling.

bubb - what a worry, i hope things get better soon. wish i could resign too. i will probably be looking for more local part time work, that if the flexi hrs request does not work but i still have to do at least 3 months to avoid paying them back.

jonahB - belated happy birthday, hope you had a nice day.

katz - thanks for new thread, love the tittle. you are the official threat starterGrin

Re - sleep - walk - talk
well dd babbles non stop and occasionaly shrieks, not quite sure what she is on about.
no walking but she is mobile enough as it is, i need time to get used to each stage, honestly quite scary, flat furniture not very child friendly.
sleep, we went through a v.good phase of sleeping through but now getting her settled has been a challenge, she keeps wanting to play. and is now waking up 2-3X a night insisting on bfShock

during the day the naps are erractic as usual and weaning is hit and miss, i must get over my fear of her choking, dd seems to manage cardboard really well so pasta should be no challenge, and NO TEETH!

good day allSmile

morning mums hugssssss

Welcome me23 to our happy band lol

Bubs wow another baby ill, like jess dont wory hunny, if they need to drip him, then thats whats best, Our georgia had to fed like Giddy said, for a time sending you all my love xxxxxx

Ive just got to say about development, all our babies are individuals and they will grow and develop at their own speed dont worry if your baby isnt doing what ever at that stage he/she should be doing, remeber ive run baby rooms for a few years now and no two babies will develop the same, i hope that but your minds at ease.

Our william isnt walking yet, and i for one am glad lol he would be into everything.

Blimey I have just taken Jessica for an 8 mth check and now have a whole list of referrals
Allergy specialist
Hip problems (as well as the feet which we were told were corrected when we saw the Orthapaedic consultant)
double squint (which has already been referred)
Hey ho
But at least we got our freebie books Shock
And by the way ...I think my baby is just perfect the way she is and I suspect that the H.V is being doubly cautious due to DD1's disabilities.

Its going to be a busy time !!!!!!!!!!!

morning everyone,
dd has started sitting unsupported for around 30secs, I was quite anxious about that but it looks as though she is gradully getting there.

need to go for 8 month check, dd is 9 months today Smile! I just don't like going baby clinic hv's don't listen and just assume things e.g few months ago I saID to one dd doesnt seem to like tummy time at all she just cries to which hv replies 'oh no you must never put them to sleep on their fronts' and starts going on about sids! i mean who mentioned sleeping on front aghhh!

Morning Everyone!

This is my first proper post on one of the threads. I'm a bit nervous!

If anyone missed my introduction on the last one, I have s ds's ds2 being born last year on June 17th. I'm from W.Yorks originally, but moved down here to be with DH. We're hoping to move back asap.

DS2 is a little sweety, much different to DS1. He's not too great at crawling, instead he's gone to pulling himself up instead! Shock

He made my day when as DH took him away from me for a nappy change he said "mumumumumum"

As for anyone worried about their baby not doing things that others I've done, the one thing I've learnt is don't compare boys with girls. Girls develope far quicker, especially mentally like talking.

Sorry I'll go now.Blush Have a good day everyone!
Love Mumatuks and Babytuks. x

hi all Smile
hope everyone is ok . pretty hectic here now with packing etc. have approx 6 weeks but i didnt realise how much stuff i had collected . not that im a hauder(sp?) as we dont have room and im constantly chucking old to have room for new.

in a right muddle at the moment . not sure what im going to do about dd1 and dd2 going to a new school. Sad i have only just got them settled
the closest school to our new house has a bad reputation and the best one is quite a walk. i dont drive Sad .
plus we dont know whether to buy the house or put in for a transfer but then the kids will have to move schools again.
i have never had so many options before . living in a council flat , i have always believed that i was stuck here and had no say as to where i live . now im so confused. will just see how we feel there and leave it a while before we make up our mind. dp doesnt want to make the house a home untill we are sure though Angry i just dont know.

dd3 tried to pull her self to standing today Smile she is pointing to everything sying "at at " (that that ) also "ook ook " ( look look )
so funny.

catch up soon with everyone
love me xxxxxxxxx
teabelly hope dd feels better soon xx

best wishse to the little teas and baby bubs. and to tea and bubs themselves of course.

sfx - lol at your dd and the glass. we're still reeling from ds getting mobile and turning into a grabbing machine (where did our little lie-back lamp-starer go?).

no walking or talking here, but forward-crawling suddenly clicked last week and so we've just spent the last few days trying to make the house baby proof.

muma3 - forgot to say last time that there is an option on your membership page in Mumsnet to say how many kids you have and their ages. If you fill it in you get sent emails with milestones that your child should (or in our case might occasionally) meet.

hi to everyone else.

Evening Junies.
Great thread title Katz!
EYM - how's georgia yorkieneice coming along? I hope she's continuing to recover well, many (((hugs))) to her + family.
Mumatuks + me23 - hello and welcome Smile
Muma3 - congratulations on the new house. Sorry it's brought such tough decisions about schools, do you have any way to approach mums of the bad reputation school for the inside story? Good luck with the decluttering - dh and I have spent this week chucking huge amounts of stuff out and we only moved in a year ago - I think we need to join Clutterers Anonymous lol!

Well Shock at all the Junies! They're so fab! My LO doesn't walk, ain't got rhythm and talks only gibberish Grin. But since it's always his right side that lags in all his development, it serves to remind me that his horrible birth could have ended up so much worse, and I'm more than happy with 'average' development! Besides, he's always happy, and he sleeps well, so I know I'm really lucky there. Sorry, didn't mean to get all maudlin, I think it's the wine!

dd3 has tummy bug now so possibly weighs less (or will by the time she gets better) she looks chubby though. got her weighed last friday and the HV said that it might be because she is active. i had tpo put her right and explainthat she doesnt crawl or walk yet. she was a bit bemused and couldnt explain why she was so under average. im not too worried but now she has a bug i think she might waste away Sad
