We're still trying to decide when to start trying for number deux. On the one hand, dh is far too ill (and indeed may be infertile anyway after months on hard core pain killers). On the other, I would really like to get the next (and last) pregnancy / birth / horrible first three months over with sooner rather than later!

considering how sick i feel today, i was reminded of the horror stomach churning first 12-14 wks.

migraine apart yes we should start trying sometime later in the year although that might depend how much i hate/ like work and how fit i am

i hope it does not take long to conceive, at 37 that is a consideration i would like a short gap between babies if possible

Hi everybody!
Remeber me?! I keep trying to keep up with the news, but am not doingto good of a job...
I loved having a second baby (much more relaxed experience)....but this is it! I am actually getting the factory, closed and sealed. Have an appointment with the consultant next week! Don't want any chances of accidents...

Good luck to all of you trying, or thinking about it! Hope it happens quick to all of you!

Good news from EYM and Katz! I have to say it is still foggy in my head...but i'm hoping as spring rolls on things will improve. Today was beautiful and sunny here, and I felt so much better!

Katz - good luck with the job application! Do you think there is areal competition? or is it proforma?

SFX - Please keep talking about running! I ran 3 times about a month ago, and felt so excited. It was the first tome I did more than 15 min exercise in 3.5 years (i.e since pregnant with DD)!!! But then it got cold, I got a flu...and, and... I need a kick in my bottom!

I am sorry I will miss the meeting in York! Someone please eat for me at Betty's, or send me some delicacies through the mail Wink!

Giddy - Hope things are a bit less carzy for you! You will not bore me if you share soem of it here...

Skyler - Hope the move went ok - Drop a line when you can....

Morning!

It was nice to know that I'm not the only one wanting another baby.. however, maybe I failed to mention it would be my 3rd rather than 2nd! I fell pregnant with DS2 when DS1 was 1yr, so there is a nice 22 month age gap between them. The get on so well, and DS1 is very protective and caring towards his baby brother, but i think would a 3rd upset the balance?! Anyway, I'm a big believer in if it's going to happen it'll happen! DH doesn't seem to mind either way as he was an only child and would've loved siblings. but that's just our opinion!

DH promised me last night that we would move nearer my family, his are no help and haven't even taken DS1 to the park to feed the ducks or soemthing, let alone DS2. (they're good kids! honest!)

DS2 seems to have skipped the baby toys and gone straight on to DS1's "big boys toys" He doesn't seem to have been a baby for long! Sad

Right I'm off, keep well and have a lovely end of week and weekend!

hello good morning all

lua - nice to see you, am so out of shape that i decided to start a walk/run training programme, its great because i always think i can do more than what is prescribed but week on week fitness is improving.
but to be honest i do it mostly to keep depression at bay and it works for me.

still one day i might enter a marathon, but not this one - not fit enough, next one i hope to be pregnat, well one dayGrin

katz i hope you get the job you want.

i have been working for the same people for over 10yrs but have been for job interviews within the org. for different posts. the last one was just before i found out i was pregnant, was on the new job less than 8 months, my cover has been there longer than I. its odd.

tucks - both dh and I are one of three siblings, both the eldest, with different types of relationships with them, guess you never know. i am not going for 3 because i just don't have the time, unless the next pg is twinsGrinShock

enough nonsense musings

have a nice wekend and enjoy Mothers Day, a first for a few of usSmile

Gosh, ds has learnt to crawl and pull to standing in two days! What a clever boy! Now mummy can never leave you alone for a second (he has a great line in crawling straight for the fire).

Katz - that is the same size DD was when she first got shoes. We found that Clinks in Meadowhall had some prewalker Kickers - proper patent leather ones - were only ones we could get. Soles were soft but then they need to be really. Maybe worth a look.

Trib-There must be a fasination with fires,as Oscar does the same. He's not quite crawling-more like dragging himself along.Means I'm up and down every 5 minutesGrin.
Gorgeous picture of Toby btw-he's lovely!!

little arsonist in the making here too. lots of pantomime-style miming of "HOT" is making no difference at all.

the only thing more attractive to ds than the fire is gravel.

sigh.

Hee hee lummox and Bubbs. We do the 'hot hot hot' ritual as well, makes no odds. Although I do recall one of my dnephews aged about 14 months playing a game which involved:

  • pointing to keys which were hanging on a hook, for me to get them for him
  • taking the keys, walking back towards the living room
  • pass the electric fire in the hall, say (sort of) "hot hot hot" with hand motion
  • go into living room, look at keys
  • walk back to hook, indicate I should replace them

Repeat, literally, 150 times. So clearly they can learn "hot hot hot" even if they take no notice of what it means Grin

Bubbs, Toby has this bizarre crawl going on which is on one knee and one foot (and both hands of course). Not quite bum shuffling and not quite crawling but something in the middle!

DS2 always makes a beeline for the plant pot on the floor - he seems to like the taste of soil for some reason (perhaps it's better than my cooking).

Oh he also seems to enjoy licking bins - the chrome kitchen and bathroom ones are particular favourites. He leaves little gummy marks and grubby fingerprints all over them.

Sorry I haven't been around much, I've been so flipping busy I haven't had chance to even read, never mind post. Hope all the Junie babies have recovered from their various ailments - DS2 has had every bug going, but (not wishing to jinx myself) he's been a bit better recently.

Congrats on the crawling baby Trib - the fun starts here...

Right, I'm going to watch a bit of telly and have some wine, definitely running on empty at the moment so will go and try to re-charge my batteries. Sorry for rubbish catch-up, will try to do better in future Smile

Hello Mrs W Smile

Trib - that's exactly the kind of crawl ds used to do Shock and it's amazing how fast they become with it! Grin
