pommedechocolat · 17/08/2012 17:09

God I hate zing zillas. And tinga tinga bloody tales.

Wants3 · 17/08/2012 17:11

I have just got back from an afternoon in town, we are getting a White Company and a JoJo Maman Bebe in the next few weeks.:) I better hide my credit card now!
I saw the elderly lady from across the road as I was unloading the car, D was wearing the outfit she had bought. She was delighted!
biscuits ds1 would like to study English with a Foreign language which means a year abroad ( wibble). He had to get good grades to continue A levels.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 17:17

Oooh Envy of the White Co and JJB! But probably better for my credit card! Grin

Very impressed with your DS1 - hope it goes as well next yr too Smile

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 17:38

JMB even, not so Envy of JJB Sports.....

PetWoman · 17/08/2012 17:55

Well done Wants' DS1!

No brooking that Too, Dream, Biscuits and Pomme have better nights.

Thinking of trying solids with DS tomorrow - he'll be 20 weeks but can sit unaided (for a few seconds) and put everything things in his mouth, and he seems really interested in food when we're eating. So, we'll see how it goes.

Most annoying question from DH in the night? "Why aren't you feeding him?" when I was trying to resettle DS without getting up. Grrr. Because I want to sleeeeeep you utter idiot. Angry

Btw, Dream I agree with the others about accepting any help offered. :)

Bother, can't remember what else I was going to say.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 18:17

I think we should have a seminar for our DHs entitled 'Top 25 things NOT to say when YOU'RE the one that has woken the baby by snoring and your wife is trying to settle said baby'. Granted I might need to work on making the title a little more punchy....

In fact it could be part of a series including an ante-natal module (Top 25 things not to say to your preggo wife, covering things like 'Those jeans look a bit tight' or 'Are you really going to eat ALL that?) and a labour module (Top 25 things not to say to your wife while she's in labour, including things like 'Ow, you're hurting my hand by squeezing so tight' and 'Can you just explain how I send a text to more than one person at once').

Disclaimer
Not all of the above chestnuts can be attributed to my DH but some can

pommedechocolat · 17/08/2012 18:23

ooo I knew about the white company but not about JMB - where's that going to be wants? how exciting!!

TWC opens next Thursday when I'll be in town anyway having my hair done!

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 18:26

Well it would be rude not to go and swish your beautiful hair in there Pomme Grin

scarletfingernail · 17/08/2012 18:48

Confused and Grin at the real age/not real age conversation. Too much for my brain these days also.

scarletfingernail · 17/08/2012 18:49

Shock Hour or too? Of course I meant two.

Wants3 · 17/08/2012 18:49

I think JMB is going to be where the Fat Face pop up was. Did you get your 15% leaflet for TWC in the post pomme considers stalking all the hairdressers on Thursday
Btw biscuits I miss D when he is sleeping too:)

scarletfingernail · 17/08/2012 18:50

And the 8 months to adjust to not napping is how long he'll have before starting school. Gosh I really should read my posts before posting.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 19:00

Oh wow was the wedding today? I hope it went ok if you went Dream Smile

PetWoman · 17/08/2012 19:31

Grin Biscuits at the seminars.

And I second the Wine for Dream. In fact, there should probably be a bottle of wine emoticon. Though maybe not with the bfing. :)

hawthers · 17/08/2012 20:15

Can I have a special seminar with a target audience of one, entitled "you only have to deal with this shit for an hour at each end of the day, I get this for 10 hours straight, yes I'm knackered, bad tempered, need wine and no I'm not on the mood for shagging as I've spent at least 8 of those hours covered in wee, poo or vom...."

Ahem as you were, I'm off for some wine.

jaggythistle · 17/08/2012 20:19

Wine already open here.

think I'll leave DS1 to nap for now, he'll do 2 hours minimum usually.

loving your seminar ideas biscuits! me reaching over to do the Transfer must somehow disturb DH as there is always a duvet flapping, snorting, grunting frenzy just as i put DS2 down.

going for an early night here once wine finished, maybe catch up a bit if i can get DS2 to do his evening sleep in the crib instead of on my knee or in the carry cot.

wondering how long he'll fit in the crib, he's getting a bit enormo. now above the 75th line and bursting out of his 3-6 month vests at just 4 months. wee chubby boy! need to send DH up to the loft for more clothes...

brooking for a restful nightfor all :)

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 20:33

Oooh I think there might be a decent take up for that add on module. In fact that should be the remedial seminar to be completed in detention.

Happy Wine everyone Grin

cakes82 · 17/08/2012 21:48

I told dh about the seminars and said do you think some of the dh's need to have different ideas? Reponse I got was no when women give birth they become even more feminist Hmm Think he may get a shock when our baby arrives.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/08/2012 22:46

Grrrrrrr, DH snoring already => DS2 has started sucking fingers and so it starts......

Still DH has promised to get up with DS tonight if needed I just have to wake him up for this to happen Hmm

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 18/08/2012 00:52

Loving the seminars! Please can I sign my not-so-D H up for all of them!

Missing DD something rotten at the moment :( My Mum browbeat talked me into letting her look after DD overnight while I took DH out for his birthday. The evening was a disaster, made entertaining solely because at least we put our arguments on pause in public - the couple at the table next to us (in a vair naice restaurant) were cursing each other in very colourful language all night! I was considering asking if they'd also had a baby recently Grin

So this is my first night without little A since she arrived! I guess I should man up about it considering I've booked a long weekend in France with my best friends for straight after I finish bfing! Still... :( :( :( At least her high temperature from the jabs finally broke last night (thanks for asking Scarlet).

I hope all No Brookers are asleep right now. I hope I will be as well, as soon as I finish pumping...

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 18/08/2012 08:37

Have just realised that although I wrote a post last night, I forgot to actually press post and I lost it when I refreshed my page. Oh well.

Today is M's naming party! I have made meringue for Pavlova for the first time and it has actually worked. Now I have to carefully peel it off the baking parchment without breaking it. M was actually really good last night - slept from 8ish to 11.10, then 11.30 - 4.30 and 4.30 - 6. She then went back down from 6-7. That's the best night we've had in a long time. It's not her fault that I was wide awake until 1 practicing my toast in my head over and over.

Oooh, PIL are here - back later!

Biscuitsandtea · 18/08/2012 08:39

Good luck today Too - have a lovely lovely time GrinThanks

pommedechocolat · 18/08/2012 08:57

Have a great day too good luck with the toast!

A slept well last night bar the two hours that there was some kind of house party with banging music going on really loudly. Grr!

Sorry to hear the evening wasn't worth being separated from a for scream - what happened?

DreamingOfPeace · 18/08/2012 09:09

Rubbish signal but me+ 3dc + wedding = disaster.

weaning- its gut maturity not age, so doesn't matter about early/late, its how long the baby has fed orally not through the placenta. So even.v early 30 weeker twins on my twin thread wean at 26 weeks same as we're advised. Hasn't helped sleeping here but S much calmer in the evening n settles better. They can eat a whole portion of porridge each already!

DreamingOfPeace · 18/08/2012 09:13

Ooh n happy naming day too Thanks
