Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/07/2012 08:48

Oh yes that reminds me chul, I'm looking after the rabbit while they go on holiday in a couple of weeks. Is it really bad that when she text me to say the other rabbit was fitting, and then later she thought it had gone blind, then the next morning it had died, the first thing I thought was thank god it happened before they went away!

DH has already said she won't spill wrt names

memphis83 · 27/07/2012 08:59

No mlic im sure she said she would think about it....come on dh we wont tell anyone!!!!!
chul I have never read one of Enids books!
L just scaled a bookcase and was at the top shouting get offfffff!

Chulita · 27/07/2012 09:11

memphis my mum hated them but I used to devour the Famous 5 crap, they're all the same stories and really dumb, I can totally see now why she hated them!

mlisc when she asked me to look after her other one last month I said no just cos I couldn't be bothered with the faff. Tbf all 3 of mine were ill and DH was away so remembering to pop over there and feed while juggling 3 ill, cuddle-demanding dc was a step too far! I don't blame you for being relieved!

I'm sure dh said she would most definitely tell us after all ours have turned 2 Wink

memphis83 · 27/07/2012 09:50

chul I was too busy reading Danny the Champion of the world on a loop when I was a kid, theschool library gave it me in the end as I constantly had it on loan!
I only ever look after my mums dog and go over to my dad to feed his zoo of aminals but after the chicken death I dont want to do it again....plus they bought a cat yesterday and there is no way im looking after one of those, never met a cat that likes me.
L has the runs, it smells like death, it actually made me heave!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/07/2012 13:35

I'm doing a little experiment with the boys today in that after W asking for sausage and egg for his breakfast (so that's what they both had) I decided to try limiting their carbs to see if it makes any difference to W's mood swings. Not to the degree that I cut carbs for me and dh, just give them fewer (ie they can still have whole meal bread but no pasta) Do you know what...I think it's working! They're not constantly asking for food like normal and he is in a lovely mood. They had a banana for snack before shopping, BBQ glazed salmon kebabs with buttered broccoli for lunch and I will give them ham and cheese for a snack later and chicken in creamy mushroom sauce with veg for their tea. Let's see if I encounter the mid afternoon slump like I normally do.

memphis83 · 27/07/2012 14:03

mlic lets hope it carries on and his moods improve.
been researching my illness online, not the scarmongering sites just the official sites and apparently carbs make the symptoms worse so maybe I should lookat cutting down, I am not a bread fan but I eat so much sugary stuff, when I cut down on carbs within a week I lose about 3 inches of bloat from by middle.
L is asleep, dh is on his way home, going to park to walk through the woods then I want a BBQ its another scorcher today.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/07/2012 14:40

Ok so E is still asking for food Hmm but W isn't. I think it's actually habit.

The more I research carbs memph, the less I want to eat them

viksam · 29/07/2012 07:05

What? Absolutely no posts since Friday at 2ish? What's everyone up to that's so important then?!
I didn't see the olimpic opening ceremony but want to see the highlights sounds interesting. I didn't see it coz I was out at an actual pub drinking actual dark is with actual friends! Hurrah! Had a good night so got that out of my system. Then mom and dads party was yesterday, went very well but it was hard work! It was at their house and the catered for about 50 people, it turned out great and we had a cake for D and sang happy birthday as well which was lovely. F was a bit of a moaner though yesterday and they are both coughing a bit so I'm thinking they are perhaps coming down with something.
I really need to loose some weight now I'm really unhappy with my figure now, my tummy is huge I look about 6 months pregnant, had to wear hold in pants yesterday just to look semi decent! Might look again at low carbing.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 29/07/2012 07:36

Hey vik! I've been here but only me and memph around as clearly everyone else has more of a life than us Glad you had a good night! I'm throwing a surprise party for my mam's big birthday in a few weeks at her house so have all that party arranging to do myself in the coming weeks! Need to sort out the logistics and get her friend to take her out for the afternoon whilst I ship in the friends and family and get the gazebo up/bbq going. I hope she likes it, I've arranged for her sister and all her family and her brother and his wife to come up from dahhhn saahhhhf and she hasn't seen them in years. I don't think I've seen my uncle since I got married almost 6 years ago! I wanted to book a venue and stuff but it was heading in the region of £400 and I just couldn't afford justify it so it'll have to be at theirs.

Off to make the boys' porridge

Chulita · 29/07/2012 17:51

I'm here but something's up with L so haven't had time to post. Not sure if it's her eczema or what but she's miserable all the time and I can't fix it :( it's been 3 days now and she's getting worse

WhatSheSaid · 29/07/2012 20:07

I'm around, didn't do much on the weekend except watch some Olympics stuff and get the kids out of the house in between bouts of rain.

Does L have rash worse than usual Chul?

Mlic I just saw you photo of the new kids table on Fb, I have looked at the same one here! Small world these days.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 29/07/2012 20:28

It's just from Aldi. The quality is not very good if I'm honest but their other one was so disgusting - great table (Ikea) but it's been scrubbed to death over the years and it just looks...scruffy. This one looks canny, but I'm glad I put it together cos dh woud have have a right old whinge about the quality Wink

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 29/07/2012 20:30

Oh and poor L, chul - hope she picks up soon

Chulita · 29/07/2012 21:39

Yea, it's worse than usual but we have just had a really hot week so that's probably set her off. Her whole body and face are covered and she keeps crying all the time.

I need to plan something for my dad's big birthday but keep forgetting..oops!.

memphis83 · 29/07/2012 23:19

chul hope L settles soon, do you have any ideas for you dad.

Im here but im full of doom and gloom so always feel i drag the thread to a halt. Found out fri mum has skin cancer and found out yesterday something has shown up on dads 3 month cancer check up plus worrying about my hospital looming so i went out and drank myself into oblivionand havent moved all day I had a bottle and a half of wine at home then 3 more glasses in pub followed by cocktails and a few beers then a blt from services on way home not my finest moment as im still ill now.
Sorry for moan cant talk in rl

viksam · 30/07/2012 19:56

I cant post memphis has dragged the thread to a halt!!
Only joking dude! you absolutly dont! Im sorry to hear about your mom and dad, that sucks, what does your mom have to have done?
Thats a lot of alcohol you drank im not suprized you feel bad, i think i would be in hospital if i had drank that much, i must be a light weight!! How do you feel now?
Well we are home and almost back to normal, the boys are good really putting up with all the travelling. We went out to the pub once into town shopping once and to the cinema all on our own over the weekend, mom and dad have actually put te boys to bed twice, im dead chuffed, its like the start of a new era! haha.
chu hows L now? Poor girl, F has a bright red area under his chin and its creeping up his face, will take him back to the docs tomorrow, they did give us steroid cream and that cleared it up but it came back even worse.
Oooop currys here!!
mylife and everyone else, hope all is well xx

memphis83 · 30/07/2012 20:05

vik its just got to be cut out but they have to burrow down, her staff are on hols for 2 weeks in august so ihope its not then the last one was so deep she struggled to move about for a few das and this one is deeper, im sure she will be fine she is a tough bird.
Sounds like a fab weekend for you! Feel fine now I couldnt believe what I drank either, dh wants us to have a night o te tow and he drinks really quick when he ever goes out im dreading it and putting it off for a bit!

Chulita · 31/07/2012 10:11

I'm not a big drinker so that amount would have got me in hospital too Grin Hope you're ok now memphis, when's your hosp appt?

viks excellent stuff that the boys are going down for your parents, makes babysitting opportunities more viable!

It's so busy here, crazy-town. because the dc don't go to sleep til 9ish I don't get an evening to potter on here and I don't like doing it during the day cos L wants me to play with her and I feel bad putting her off so I can mn. Her skin's a bit better, she's got another dermo appt in 2 weeks but of course by then it'll have all cleared up. I'm going to try Hemp Oil cos someone was saying it worked for them, worth a try!

We're off out for a bit when B wakes up, L's at nursery today so makes life a bit easier although DH is away again til Fri Booooo!

WhatSheSaid · 31/07/2012 10:48

Sorry to hear about your mum memphis but hopefully they get it all out and that's the end of it. I am amazed/ impressed by how much you drank, I seriously physically manage more than about 3 drinks in a night anymore and it's usually only one or two! A friend and I were reminiscing the other day about student life and inwasbremebering I used to drink 6 or 7 pints of Guinness at a time.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 31/07/2012 17:47

I'll make you feel better memph, I am a big drinker and could rival you on a night out Grin It would also make me ill, ill, ill the next day, but when me and one friend in particular go out, that's kinda what it looks like Blush

Sorry about your mum and dad.

viksam · 31/07/2012 20:21

chu it doesnt sound like your getting much time to yourself at all. I really dont know how you do it with your dh away, it sucks that he has to work away so much, do the children notice do you think? Have you seen your folks lately? Would you go stay with while dh is away? Re L's skin, The doc said F's bad skin under his chin is eczema but its bright red looking is that how L's looks, i have absolutly no experience of it at all. He's had fungal cream and antibiotic cream and lastly steroid cream but its still there and creeping up his face now, it looks really bad.
wss Oh the student days, how the hell did we do it?? Three times a week drinking a skinfull and dancing till the early hours, i couldnt do it now, nooooo wayyyyy.
mylife all i can say is you piss head!!!haha!
I just had chicken and veg.............no potatoe like substance at all!! My tummy is so big and wobbly that i even got worried i was expecting, in fact i might even buy a test just to make sure! I keep forgetting to take my pill so it would be all my fault. I had af last week so pretty sure im not and honestly the idea scares me to death, i would be mortified and its scared me into not forgetting my pill for the last few days so maybe i needed the scare! I spoke to the doc about being steralized, she kind of steared me away from it and towards the coil, anyone got any thoughts?

memphis83 · 31/07/2012 21:07

mlic phew thought I was the only one! I used to drink like that 3 times a week until I met dh then it was weekly at least once until I fell pg! I feel like if your going to go out you may as well go mad! but that was a little too mad for my liking, there was also a blue WKD gross thing in there...im convinced that it what made me so ill! Wink
vik I had the depo injection, I remember my sisters ex being jabbed by her coil Shock , my mum and sister both were sterelized and they both ended up with a hysterectomy as they mess up their cycle and made them bleed for weeks with a few days break then bleed again so my sister hit the menopause at 34-36 but everyone reacts differently but would your dh have the snip? its a lot less invasive and not as risky as a sterelisation. DH is already joking that the snip will be his wedding present from me! and me friends wife is expecting and has just booked his!
chul hospital is Thursday, I have been in a state of panic most of the day having had a few attacks, on was while doing the shopping as L has been a little pain in the arse today so luckily dh met me from work to whisk him away.
We are going on a bus trip tomorrow with homestart to the localtoddler themepark that we went to for Ls birthday but they are paying this time, im quite frankly dreading it, I was expecting dh to go too but he cant get day off, all the other mums are going as a family and we are the only one just mum and child! But I have made a lovely picnic and I will just sit in the corner on my own eating! Grin
We got the rabbit, L is in love, he cried and cried when we put him in the hutch, 'no babbit good boy' thinking I had locked him up for being naughty! then he pulled his quilt back wanting the 'babbit' in hhis bed!
We also had a repeat of the baby powder incident, he somehow reached onto shelf (after sleeping til 8.25) he had poofed it up the walls, over his whole cot....everywhere, I cleaned for half hour before my dad picked us up and then an hour after we got back and I still need to clean all surfaces again!

Chulita · 31/07/2012 21:50

Aw memphis, how cute! What a sweetie (with the rabbit, not the talc!) Have fun tomorrow!

Viks I could go up but my parents have a small two bed bungalow and the second bedroom's my dad's study so we're realky squished and since having B it's not really possible any more :(
I'm not sure what to do re contraception either, i've gps pushing different things but can't decide. Deffo don't want sterilisation though!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 01/08/2012 08:37

No I defo don't either chul. Nor do I want dh to have a vasectomy. It's just too final and I can't be sure I wouldn't regret it.

Chulita · 01/08/2012 11:10

It's so tricky though, i'm pretty sure I couldn't carry another and dh is happy with 3 but totally agree that both seem so final. I'd rather dh had the snip though if we had to choose, fewer complications!

B had his jabs yest and is a total misery...so unlike him, he's turned into his brother overnight!
