We've got so good at brooking no argument for no pregnancy complications and sneeze births, we're going for our Phds in big fat babies

thanks biscuits, will try to get hold of the hc stuff.

my mum was just on the phone and has volunteered to go to the pharmacy for me. it's quite nice to be looked after. :)

Biscuitsandtea · 20/04/2012 17:00

I have two different hc ones - one is Anusol HC and one is Anusol HC plus.

Plus what I'm not sure but I assume it's got more of a kick?

DreamingOfPeace · 20/04/2012 19:56

My achievements of the day:

The playground with all three (& the mother's help lady)
Bathing the babies for only the second time Blush

That's actually it...

hawthers · 20/04/2012 20:04

My achievement of the day: getting to 18.30 before bursting into tears at the horrible day with the DS'.

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 20/04/2012 20:40

dream that's awesome! How's the lady? I was very patchy with baths until last week for A. I did use soap on her till five weeks old as I forgot Blush

Welcome back hawthers!

DreamingOfPeace · 20/04/2012 21:26

pomme, I'm using wipes in the night, only bathed them today as Ben was sick on Sebastians head in their travel cot last night and it was dried into his sparse hair, and i am not using separate bottles of infacol for them... Among other offences. Mothers help lady is kind to them, but she's not me and not family. My problem is I'm wildly over protective of them all and find it hard to let my parents take DD off without me let alone a stranger, I want to supervise babies all the time etc. She doesn't do things quite as I would, but i suppose no one will... Hopefully it'll all work out fine.

What went so wrong today hawthers? My other achievement to add is no tears yet... Though whether that'll last remains to be seen...

The sun has set and the were-babies have awoken...

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 20/04/2012 21:50

Were-babies - so cute! I have this image of tiny wolf cubs in babygros howling at the moon.

M has only had a few baths. DH keeps putting bubble bath in even though I have told him and told him not to! Grr. Bathed her yesterday because it had been about 5 days and she had dried sick in her ear. Might bath tomorrow night to amuse PIL. I keep forgetting to give her the antibiotics for her kidney, and we tried wipes for a while but her bum went bright red and raw so we had to stop.

Hawthers, what happened? Hugs and Brew

I need to expand my Anusol collection. Have 6 week check next Thurs so will ask then about prescription stuff (unless it has magically gone away by then).

DreamingOfPeace · 20/04/2012 22:24

new pic of boys up :-)

DreamingOfPeace · 20/04/2012 22:39

Howling is right too....

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 20/04/2012 22:42

Loving the twin pics! Too cute!!

Biscuitsandtea · 21/04/2012 01:52

Awwww Dream those pictures are just adorable! How cute are they!!!

We've sort if fallen into giving ds2 a bath about 3 times a week now because we bath him the same nights as ds1 and that's how often we bath him. But it took us ages to bath him at first. We just kept putting it off (mainly because naughty DH had gone back to work and left me to it!) so it must have been nearly a week before he got his first bath.

Dream I also ended up using wipes at night after a couple of weeks. The cotton wool and water changes took so long that he inevitably did at least a wee or a poo but more likely both and it was just too much to handle.

Too when we started with wipes E's bum went red so I started cleaning with wipes but making sure we dried it with cotton wool and then put sudocrem on to clear up the redness. Still a bit if a faff with the cotton wool but less faff than cleaning with CW and water too.

Pomme I would just refer you to our earlier conversation about our little people sleeping so much today and point out that E has now fed at 6:15, 9:05, 11:20 and now 1:20. He'd better not keep this up all night I've already eaten all of the snacks I put out for myself Sad. Hope A is not doing the same!

Scream - you're so nearly there - only a few days max until your CS but am really hoping you get enough niggles over the weekend to get in to the hospital and let them pop that baby out so we can all meet her. Grin

hawthers · 21/04/2012 02:08

We just had a horrible day yet DS1 whining and screeching everywhere which usually I can cope with but DS2 up in the night more frequently so I'm exhausted and had been up since 5 yesterday. I'm not a nice mummy when I'm tired and my temper was horrendously short. Very nearly lost it big style.

Felt vindicated when DH cane home and within 5 mins was having the same issues as me and incidentally dealt with it in the sane way. Small yey for consistent parenting.

Yesterday was so bad that I really enjoyed the great break I had from the screechy one whilst changing the sheets and hanging up washing.

God only knows how this weekend is going to go. Not boding well is that I'm up feeding already.

Will catch up with other news at next feed.

Biscuitsandtea · 21/04/2012 02:12

Hawthers - bless you my love. Tomorrow (or today now!) is a new day and hopefully will be a much better one. Is your DH around for the weekend? Hopefully that'll at least share the burden xx

jaggythistle · 21/04/2012 02:59

morning all.

we had a difficult evening with DS1 too, he was just too overexcited by the end of the day that we couldn't get him to sit still and eat or anything. i guess it has been a bit much with grandparents round lots spoiling him and getting a baby brother. he did ask for DS2 to come and see him in his bed though, i think he'd heard him screaming through a nappy change and wondered what was up!

DS2 has been working hard and my milk seems to be coming in. he's now eating enough to do little pukes so the washing will be mounting up now..

can't look at pics on my phone so I'll have to wait till morning. boo!

some noise in here with snoring and DS2's windy bum!

pommedechocolat · 21/04/2012 04:31

Every two hours over here too biscuits. Unfortunately that's not unusual!

Sorry to hear about bad days/bedtimes. Wine anyone?!

DreamingOfPeace · 21/04/2012 04:33

Feeding feeding feeding. God I'm tired. Is more than 90 min sleep between feeds really that much to ask?!

hawthers whiney toddlers are the pits. DD was testing me with lots of shouting too. And dh on a stag do all day tmw. We've already been arguing at 2am feed. Nice.

DreamingOfPeace · 21/04/2012 04:36

pomme sympathy... I'm struggling with my boys 90 mins as of course by the time I'm asleep its way less than that for me. And some feeds its taking 2 hours to get both fed, changed, winded, settled. I'm only doing nappies if dirty but sadly that's most feeds still...

Biscuitsandtea · 21/04/2012 04:44

I shouldn't moan about the sleep thing. He's just been lulling me into a false sense of security by going 3 hours for me of late. Dream - you are amazing - I don't know how you're doing it. And you're very kind to let your DH go on an all day stag do!

Biscuitsandtea · 21/04/2012 04:45

You're all doing amazingly

Biscuitsandtea · 21/04/2012 05:00
pommedechocolat · 21/04/2012 06:17

I think maybe scarlet might sneak in before weds although either way that'll ruin the pattern again!

dream - oh no to the pooey nappies at every feed. That's got to be a killer. Have you got help today? Hope your dh intends to fulfil your every wish Sunday in recompense!

We've off on a three hour journey when we're all up for this wedding. How do I keep a toddler and newborn quite during my best friends wedding ceremony? Eek!

hawthers · 21/04/2012 07:15

F was very skinny on baths in the first 8 weeks. It was only when DS1 started to refuse to get in the bath that i popped f in then DS1 was keen to have his turn.

dream is your H fucking kidding?! An al day stag do when he has newborn twins, the groom ad better be his long lost twin brother separated at birth as if it anyone else I think that is taking the piss.

Ah we see the mean mood has been carried over from yesterday.

We had wake ups at 1.30, 5 and 7. I guess we just need to get to ine wake up in the small hours and it should make a massive difference. Going to try waking him at 11 for a feed again to see if that night work. Problem is by the time it gets to 11 I'm knackered and just want to crawl into bed.

hawthers · 21/04/2012 07:22

pomme good luck for today

Hope fishcake and purple are getting in ok. When I'm next in the laptop I'm going to dig out the stats thread and update it.

jaggythistle · 21/04/2012 07:26
