Hi all,

Yes I did Grin at ledkrs antics, the lap dancers for the blind is brilliant and I am going to shamelessly steal that and claim it as my own invention next time I go out with the girls. My partner in crime moved down south so we haven't done much drunken malarky recently, but very similar to ledkrs e.g. getting in a police car thinking it was a taxi and bellowing at the copper when he wouldn't take me home, getting thrown out of clubs and doing the "sneaky walk" back in with a fake moustache and some random man's anorak etc. etc.

blizy very excited about your ovulation! I am willing mrblizys little spermatozoan to do their bit.

reastie I am a bit weird as I genuinely don't care about mothering sunday (for me, I always get/make my mum something), or valentine's. DH forgot my birthday twice in a row, I took the piss but didn't really care. I think men (and me) show their love differently, e.g. DH organises my paperwork, folds my clothes up, always drives etc. He never buys me things but I don't want him to. Do you think your DH does that? We did a marriage course before our wedding where they explained that there were 5 ways of showing love - saying it, doing actions that indicated they were thinking of you, buying gifts, erm... can't think of the others but they said that a lot of people don't realise that they are loved because they don't value the method their partner uses to show it. So I value the "doing nice things for me" more than presents or DH saying anything lovey, whereas he wants me to say I love him so I need to remember to keep saying it. Sorry that ramble is not helpful as I can't actually remember all the bits, er sorry.

BTW where are you getting the vintage fairy tale pictures? They sound lovely.

delia work is not an excuse, I am finding it tricky to get on too but I will expect you to check in from time to time

deb Grin at your Boast. Ns latest genius is sniffing bottoms (I always sniff his bottom re poo check). He sniffed mine and brought me a nappy, how rude! He also likes inserting crisps down butt cracks which is fine if it is mine, not if it some random posh mums from one of his classes Blush

I am really procrastinating, meant to be doing my tax return, haven't started

wigglesrock · 20/03/2012 19:28

Borg Do you do the lift up and sniff? Its my speciality Grin Although I do remember at one point with Sofia thinking it was a good idea to stick my fingers into her nappy to check Hmm Needless to say didn't make that mistake again!

A had her MMR etc today, she was not best pleased, she practically hissed at the poor HV. The HV warned me to be careful of mump-like symptoms such as swollen glands behind the ear and neck after about 2 weeks, think it was Lottie that had this RobinSparkles?

Kept meaning to say at As assessment last week I asked the HV about the scaly/dry cheeks and she felt that it was back teeth but advised using Vaseline as a barrier, especially if we were out and about in inclement weather incase she was just a bit sensitive - has worked a treat!

RobinSparkles · 20/03/2012 20:34

Wiggles, yeah it was lottie! My nurse didn't say and I got all worried and took her to the doctors :o it was almost exactly two weeks after! Aw, poor A - hope she doesn't get any side effects.

I've also made the mistake of trying to peer inside a nappy to check, by pulling at the seam round the legs, and didn't make the same mistake again!

I bet crisps down the butt crack can get erm... Uncomfortable Borg!

WeAreBorg · 20/03/2012 22:58

wiggles yes lift and sniff Grin. Hope A okay from her jabs, N is a total wuss and was randomly fine which is not like him, he's a drama queen.

robin hopefully blizy will be along and answer your peacock question.
Thinking of getting an iphone, do you all have contracts? I have a 1980's style mobile and am pay as you go, so no idea what you young folk do, not sure where to start or where the good deals are, anyone help?

tadjennyp · 20/03/2012 23:18

Lol at crisps in the crack! Hoping all dcs sleeping well, especially those who've had jabs today. Nothing exciting going on here except for the few inches of snow again this morning. Enough now!

blizy · 21/03/2012 07:17

Ha ha borg funnily enough I do know what noise a peacock makes (there is one at the local farm park.) it's a bit of a high pitched screech like Ahh ahhh (struggling to put into words.) I too laughed at bumcrack crisps Grin. Oh and thanks for willing dh spermons on! Grin

wiggles Hope anna is ok.

Boke to all of your shitty fingers.

My house desperately needs decorated, although I am loathe to do it as the mindees get their grubby hands everywhere.

I'm off out for a lovely long walk today around the loch, hope you all have a good day.

ILovePonyo · 21/03/2012 09:03

Ha at peacock noise, blizy I knew what you meant! Enjoy your day, of did the mindees appreciate the muffins you made?

Borg get an iPhone! I'm not ashamed to say I love mine v v much, am currently mn-ing at work Grin

I have a docs appt today to change my pill, hope the doc isn't a bitch about it, I read that microgynon thread and that's what I take, time for a change maybe. Blizy saw you on that thread Smile anyway it's worth a go if it might help me not be such a moody cow to dp and get some of my libido back Shock

Better go, hi everyone else

americanexpat · 21/03/2012 09:05

Feels like it's been ages since I posted! L was sent home with diarrhoea yesterday so he's home until Friday. He had a bit of a fever and was off his food but no more diarrhoea once he was home.

blizy - fingers massively crossed. Vegas sounds fun, I've never been. Also, a peacock is always male, the peahen is the female. [pedant emoticon] Grin

What's all this "checking" of nappies you're talking about? When L has a dirty nappy, you can smell it from the next room and there's no question he needs a change. [boak]

blizy · 21/03/2012 09:23

american I hope L is ok. Also collectively they are known as peafowl.Grin

ponyo The muffins went down a treat, lazy today with after school snacks it will be cereal bar, yog and fruit.
I was like a totally new person whn I came off mycrogynan, it very nearly split dh and I up. I came off it and went onto cerazette, I was fine with it except for the complete lack of libido. I stopped taking it the summer before we had decided to ttc to give my body a break from all the hormones.

ILovePonyo · 21/03/2012 09:30

Peafowl!! Grin sorry but all these terms for peacocks are making me laugh Grin Hmm

Blizy yikes to your experience with microgynon. Thinking about it I got v depressed when first put on it years ago, I never thought it could be related to my pill though. Anyway I'll let you know what doc says. Glad the kids appreciated your cooking skills!

American hope L is better soon, poor mite.

wigglesrock · 21/03/2012 10:41

american hope L is on the mend

A seems in remarkably good form even for her Hmm, so she's up at my Mums for the morning, that'll knock the good form out of her Grin

I'm afraid when it comes to peacocks, I can't get past the fact that Peacock is Olivias favourite song on the Katy Perry CD (don't ask) and it is possibly one of the most inappropriate songs for a 4 year old to run around singing "I wanna see your peacock yeah, your peacock" and so on and so on Blush

OP posts:
blizy · 21/03/2012 11:29

Grin Grin at Sofia an the peacock song!

MizK · 21/03/2012 11:34

Peafowl! Wow, learn something new every day. Who says MN isn't edumacational :)
blizy enjoy the walk, and def dont do your house up whilst it gets overrun by children every day!
wiggles thats so funny! And poor you, I imagine you suffer through that damn Katy Perry CD on a regular basis :)
american hope L feels better soon x
borg hope you have started that tax return!
ponyo is there an alternative to microgynon thats as effective? I have been on it for years and worry about long term effects. It does wonders for my skin and makes Ladies Week much shorter tho....
tad I bet you cant wait for spring, you must be tired of snow by now!
Am watching Project Runway, ( fash obsessed weirdo here) and they are featuring Philip Treacy hats...Is it just me or are his hats a total joke? Made Fergie's daughters look like utter tits at the Royal Wedding, and the rest of his work is just as yuck. Sorry for going off on a tangent, but I'm on my own so had to say it to someone, and Cassia is too busy stacking her cups to listen to my ramblings :)

MizK · 21/03/2012 11:39

PS blizy I saw on the cheesy film thread that you are a fellow Beaches fan... I am now officially your friend forever :) never met anyone else my age who has admitted to liking it!

blizy · 21/03/2012 11:47

mizk shhh don't tell my horrible secrets! Ilove it, it's my feeling sorry for myself lying on the couch with blanky film.Blush

wigglesrock · 21/03/2012 12:02

MizK I was going to tease blizy about her film choices but then I mentioned Anaconda Blush Beaches just makes me dissolve I missed about half of it the first time I saw it Grin. I am indulging in all my film loves when Mr W is away, I can't watch The Way We Were - its too sad, I heart young Robert Redford Grin

OP posts:
blizy · 21/03/2012 12:09

Ohhh is that right wiggles tease me eh? I do like good films mostly honest.
I am loving the new planet of the apes just now.

wigglesrock · 21/03/2012 12:16

Oh I saw that, I was pleasantly surprised and Mr W really liked it, and he can be a bit wanky about films Grin

He is packing for Washington, I am now officially very jealous and am finding it hard not to snarl at him Grin, my own Mum gave him $50 Shock Although he is being very nice to me [hurrumph], he went to get some bits and pieces this morning and bought me new books, sweets and new sunglasses. If he thinks that gets him out of buying me a proper present, he's very much mistaken Grin

Emski76 · 21/03/2012 13:11

Ooh just lost a post after lurking for days!!

Summary -
Blizy, one of my fave films is Beaches, love a film that makes me cry!
Fingers crossed for baby making!

mil annoying me again with constrant snippy comments. Almost hit her yesterday when Noah was having bits of my pasta for his tea. She winced everytime I gave him a piece of pasta. She's lucky she walked out of my house alive!

Delia, please don;t leave us for good!! We'll track you down and make you be our friend again!!

Bloody temp crown that I had done at dentist Friday fell out Sunday morning so was back to dentist Monday to have another one fitted. Its so bloody painful though and way to big so is rubbing my mouth and tongue! Can't wait to have the permanent one fitted!

Best go, lost of work to do before i finish for the week!

RobinSparkles · 21/03/2012 13:15

I'm not here because I'm busy painting but I just wanted to say that Beaches is brill! There were loads I forgot on the cheesey film thread.

I do love a good cheesey film!

reastie · 21/03/2012 13:30

wiggles I'm not going to think of peacocks the same way now Shock . Lucky Mr Ws on his trip - he worked that one well - off work for weeks, returns for a c short time and then jets off to the US of A.

Re: this pill chatter. I was on cerazette for years and I lost all libido and couldn't get in the mood ever at all, it got to the point where DH and I couldn't have sex as it hurt too much as I wasn't interested - I even saw the GP about it as I thought there may have been something physically wrong with me. As soon as I came off the pill though I was fine Grin maybe that's how they stop you getting pg

OK, blizy did you just admit to having a blanky? I have one too Grin

blizy · 21/03/2012 13:46

Yes reastie I have a blanky, it's a fleecy baby blue number. I love snuggling up with it when I'm ill or under the weather. Good luck with the carpet hunt.

ILovePonyo · 21/03/2012 13:56

Ooh blizy is it from ikea?

blizy · 21/03/2012 14:05

No Ponyo, I bought it about 10 yrs ago at some homeware outlet shop. It's nicer than the ikea one.Wink

ILovePonyo · 21/03/2012 14:16

Ha I have the ikea one and it's so warm!

Got new pill... It's called brevinor Confused done some Internet research but not found much, will just see. Mizk I'd been on microgynon for ages but thought its worth a try with a new one, there was a thread in chat that made me decide easily influenced
