Welcome back everyone!

D seems to have got conjunctivitis in both eyes. It started with the right eye and this morning looks like its spread to the left. Think he caught it off a skanky child at play group grr!

Do I need to take him to docs? Nhs website just said to keep it clean there's not really anything a doc can do about it.
He seems ok during the day but at night he seems unwell. He's hot, irritable and awful at sleeping atm.

You can get eyedrops for conjunctivitis from a dr or there's some you can buy over the counter too. I assume if you don't give eyedrops it would clear up by itself eventually but I don't know how long it takes.

That's ace news about Mikey tsc! I hope becoming self employed isn't too much of an arse on

That's the good thing bout nursery memph, they eat what I dictate. The have started bribing encouraging E into the car by taking grapes with them to school. That's ma boy! They said they knew I wouldn't let him have sweets and whilst that's true, he loves grapes more that any other food anyway!

I've gone from being bored at work to having so much to do I don't know where to start! It's a lovely thought having 8 weeks off but I have so much to do I'm already worried what will happen when I'm not here.

Glad you're home safe vik sorry about F

I've gone from 10st 2.5lbs to 9st 10lbs in 9 days

Chulita · 17/05/2012 16:41

Just quickly cos need to do tea and get B up.

DH, breastmilk does wonders for conjunctivitis I've discovered, if you're still feeding D you could squirt some in or express and syringe it in a few times a day and it should clear up.

mlic well done on the weight loss! I've lost 2lbs in 3 weeks but I'm not being very good with the diet. I'm ok until I make the children peanut butter/nutella sandwiches and they don't like the crusts...'nuff said...oh yes, and wine&chocolate o'clock once the kiddies are in bed, I neeeeed it!

tsc that's brilliant about Mikey! I was self-employed for a year and didn't find it as hard as I thought sorting out the forms etc.

Right, gotta go and cook. I don't feel I have any time for myself at all at the mo and every now and then it frustrates me!

Chulita · 19/05/2012 09:41

y ffs

Chulita · 19/05/2012 09:42

plus, if we could just get rid of this thread, we could start another one that I might be able to find. My profile and this one have had a falling out and it doesn't appear anywhere when I'm logged in which makes it faffy to find.

WhatSheSaid · 19/05/2012 09:59

Well we'd better get another 80-odd posts done and start a new thread for you chul. I'm drinking wine and watching Sherlock but I just fell asleep for a bit which is really annoying cos it's a great programme.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 19/05/2012 11:28

Why not just start a new one? This one doesn't have to be full. I certainly don't mind anyway.

I'm only quiet cos like memph, cos nobody else is talking so I feel like I'm talking to myself!

memphis83 · 19/05/2012 14:45

mlic i spend all my life talking to myself Grin

viksam · 19/05/2012 19:47

Are we trying to fill up the thread then?

viksam · 19/05/2012 20:10

All is well here but it wasnt on wednesday. To cut a long story shory me and F ended up having a night in hospital! F was poorly all day and i eventually got an appointement at 5, the Dr sent us straight to A&E to see the peads, we eventually got seen and when he said they would like us to stay in for obs i nearly fell through the floor. He had been sick a lot and off his food and crying loads but no temp or rash or anything like that. So we had a horrid night on the ward, in a private room in isolation as they didnt know what was wrong with him. I had to force down a syringe of dyralite every 5 mins just so he stayed hydrated. It was horrid. Luckily my dh had managed to get home early from work so he met me at the docs and took D home. I had nothing with me for myself only some carex hand and body wipes in the nappy bag and a brush. We got home mid morning on thursday, dh had to have the day off. F has developed hand foot and mouth and the whole thing was the run up to the spots coming out, which they have done now, his poor little hands are covered in blister like spots. Sooooooooooo thats my week and thats why i havent been on much.
We had a lovely day at the beach today and both boys seem loads better.
chu what did you used to say when you have a good sleep but feel like crap? D and F both slept well last night and me and dh feel rubbish for it! haha. Sleep begets sleep!
mylife sounds like ur really into ur job, its great to hear.
chu i bet you dont get a min to yourself! How is B, is he going down well? Is he in any sort of routine yet?
dh D had that not to long ago and the dr gave us drops, they do say to wait a few days cos it can go on its own but i didnt cos of F.
tsc great about M and good news on the contract hope u sort out being self employed, is it just a case of telling the tax office?
wss catching up i was well confused when you said you were watching sherlock and drinking wine at 10am?? ...................silly me!!
Just waiting for curry and drinking JD and Coke, Mmmmmmmmmmmm!!

MalibuStac · 19/05/2012 23:49

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 20/05/2012 07:53

To wake or not to wake. That is the question.

Happy to have peace...but I want him to go to sleep without a fight tonight!

memphis83 · 20/05/2012 08:50

tsc thats excellent news about Mickey!
viks hope f improves soon, must have been very scary.

L has been sleeping through for 12 hours, eating a bit better and seems to be learning so many words. Got to enrol him in playschool next week for September and been told he needs to be on list for school by sept! A local girl cant get her daughter in for this sept and she had her name down for ages.
Worked loads this week as mum is on holiday, got in from work and got ready to go out so hardly saw L yesterday but am going to Bmf bike show for day with him today.

We are looking at a weekend away for dh and I, was thinking Paris, im clueless so any of you got any recomnendations for any places or suggest Paris, I went aged 12 loved the culture but really hated the beggers.

viksam · 20/05/2012 10:31

Memphis a weekend away sounds ace. I would love to go back to nice, it has everything IMO. Beach, old town, Monte Carlo just down the coast and its absolutely beautiful, and not very far. I loved it!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 20/05/2012 16:24

I've always fancied Venice. I know it's supposed to be smelly but it's somewhere I think I should go before I die would like to see for myself.

A friend of mine is in NY at the moment and everytime she updates her status I have a pang of jealousy. NY is my favourite place in the world I'll go back one day and not come home

I think our first trip abroad with the DCs may be Germany as we have friends there (army). He may be made redundant soon so if we don't make it there and that happens we'll take them to France. I love the south of France.

memphis83 · 20/05/2012 16:46

This will be just the 2 of us, I don't fancy Germany but have always loved france. My friends own a huge house they rent out fully or as b and b rooms but dont want to end up it being a piss up with pals so will give it a miss.
I also fancy Venice apparently its only smelly in warm weather but pricey, its going to be a budget trip but im the same mlic really want to go. People rave about Amsterdam but I know I will get lost and just end up walking the seedy area!
