Yay!!! Congratulations dh! Fab news! How are you feeling? Nice age gap you'll have. Hooray!

Chulita hope you are getting a bit of sleep - remember you had major surgery just two days ago so you need lots and lots of rest. Be kind to yourself.

WhatSheSaid · 13/03/2012 23:53

Congrats dh. Ignore my rant about the first year of sleeplessness!

Take it easy chul, you were released from hospital pretty quickly weren't you? Even with my elective I was in for 3 days.

viksam · 14/03/2012 04:37

chu x posted and just lost a long post to u, such a pita posting on my phone. Just saying my mom used to work in a Prem ward and the moms wernt allowed to set foot on the floor for 7 days! Something in that I recon. Re the latch I'm assuming u have checked for tongue tie, its worth having the mw check again if u have, d had a slight one according to one mw. Are u eating properly, for me its the key to mental stability as well as physical! Please be careful man, u know its vital in these first few days, ur family need u to recover properly. Xx

DesperateHousewife21 · 14/03/2012 07:14

Lol vik v excited over there!? I feel absolutely fine which is worrying! Dh is v pleased, it's a great age gap and I'm glad it's due before all the Xmas stuff starts going on.
I've taken 5 tests and there's still one more waiting to be done!

woodlands thanks :) I feel ok slightly tired but hard to know if that's ds waking me up at 6!

chul please rest while your parents are there, I reckon you only discharged yourself early so you could get back to your cinnamon rolls Grin hows the cough now?
dh congratulatios, thats the great thing about mn you can talk about being pg when its a bit early to announce it in rl!
viksam I use spray oil so hardly any fat, I dont think of it as bad as you would usually do scrambled egg in a pan with butter, I think im going to try L with it again.
Visitin two friends today, in the morning the devil child and this afternoon my friend with the little girl L loves.

kkfairybrains · 14/03/2012 08:42

Aww DH congrats!!! Brilliant news Grin so happy for you and a bit jealous too!
Crap chul seriously take it easy! You shouldn't really be moving about yet should you? You poor thing I know you prob feel like you need to see to S and L too but while the help is there I'd take it and rest up. Sorry if that sounds patronising its not intentional!
Mlic god I dread them days and I've s feeling I've a stubborn toddler in the making!
We done up E's new room and it's gorgeous I love it! She loves it too and is sleeping well in her new big double bed!
And in other news I've booked a holiday!!!! Going to Spain in may. Marbella for a few days and then Nerja. So excited!

DesperateHousewife21 · 14/03/2012 09:34

memphis thanks :) its good to share things on here.

kk lol are you planning on having anymore?

OP posts:
memphis83 · 14/03/2012 12:39

dh my friends sister is 20 wks pg with her second, her boy being just 2 and she was tiny last pg up til 7 months and she is already bigger than full term the first time! Shock Do you reckon you will be bigger this time round?
kk whats E's room like?
Went to devil childs today and he was sharing and generally nice so was ok, My friend gave me all the indian spices needed to make a paneer curry so all the way back been drooling at the thought of it for dh to text that he is away tonight! oh meal for one for me!

kkfairybrains · 14/03/2012 18:53

Yeah I definitely want more DH! Ideally I want to be married before that though. Because I want to be married before E goes to school but don't want to get pg and have all the weight to lose again for a wedding so as soon as we're married we'll get the balls rolling Grin
Memph it's a very light pink with hot pink and lime green curtains. I got 2 sets and put them together and it looks lovely! With light pink and green vintagey looking duvet and then all pine furniture and butterflies. I love it! I had cracker bread with ham and egg mayo for my dinner!! Dp away this eve so couldn't be arsed!

DesperateHousewife21 · 14/03/2012 19:31

memphis yes! I'm not even joking but after dinner I look about 4 months already! Even during the day there's a little bump, im going to be enormous!

kk sounds like you have a v exciting few years planned then, lol at balls rolling! Quite!

OP posts:
memphis83 · 14/03/2012 19:42

kk sounds lovely! thaqts one reason I would like a girl is I really struggle to think of how to do boys room, a girls room would be great (still hope for a second boy though) Dh has promised a ring on my finger, but doesnt see it as important as we have planned a rough date for wedding if we make it that far but im trying to lose weight now as I want both kids before we are married to save having to chage L's birth certificate, if I fall pg when I want to that gives me 5 months to get bikini ready for a wedding abroard
The meal I had was so rank I had to bin it so im starving now!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 14/03/2012 19:52

Eh? Why would you have to change L's birth certificate if you got married Confused

FWIW dh, I put much less weight on 2nd time round. I was too busy with ds1 for a start, and too aware of how massive I got 1st time and didn't want to make the same mistake twice.

Grin at 'balls rolling' kk

memphis83 · 14/03/2012 19:58

mlic when we registered L's birth we got told that any children born in wedlock would have more of a stake and a say over our 'estate' (currently only a dog,car,2 bikes and an old jet ski Grin ) that L would as he was born out of wedlock even if we had a will unless we change and revise his birth certificate to have my married name on, I dont want the hassle as my sisters son has a revised birth certificate and it causes a few problems with legal document (the current one being trying to join the army) so if we have both children before we get married saves having to change it.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 14/03/2012 20:16

Hmm I admit I'm no expert but that doesn't sound right to me

DesperateHousewife21 · 14/03/2012 20:27

I get that you'd have to change your name on the birth cert and it might cause probs later down the line but didn't think it would cause issues over being left an estate. Surely what is stated in your will is what they'd have to go by? It's not like they're not your child because your maiden name is on their cert!

OP posts:
viksam · 14/03/2012 20:32

I didnt know you could change a birth certificate?
D was at the cm's today and i have had some quality time with F, hes so smiley when hes not suffering with reflux or crying! I watched Marley and me today, never seen it before, oh man, its sooooooooooo sad! and it actually struck a chord with me too. Wierd how some films just get to you.
cake hows A? Have the spots got any worse?
dh when are you going to announce your good news?
I have a cream egg and i dont really want it but i cant stop thinking about it!! how sad is that! Shall i eat it......................

memphis83 · 14/03/2012 20:34

Thats what the registrar said Hmm called up the county hall to check and they verified, its probably not a problem but I dont want to have to change birth certificates. I may have got my wires crossed as I was crazy new mother with pnd Grin

memphis83 · 14/03/2012 20:41

dh will's can be contested, my friend is in family law and her dept is in people contesting wills, when my grandad died his will stated my uncle's name and said he shouldn't get a penny, he got told that he would get half estate if he took it to court (which he didnt)
The reason I remembered it was because I thought it was crazy that the parents were the same so it shouldnt matter, I was sure she printed something off about it but its not with the certificates

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 14/03/2012 20:41

Do it vik Grin Make me feel better about the two bags of crisps and cheese on toast I've just eaten Wink

Memph with all due respect they will know everything about changing birth certificates but fuck all about the legality of contesting a legal will, based on a surname. I too didn't know you could change a birth certificate - unless parentage was proved to be wrong or something.

Speaking of which, had that knobber had his DNA done yet tsc?

kkfairybrains · 14/03/2012 20:43

EAT THE CREAM EGG GrinGrinGrin no seriously eat it. And think of poor me who is off chocolate for lent and gagging for some Sad. I've decided I'm breaking lent for mothers day though and I can't bloody wait!
Sounds odd Memph! That never got said to me and we're not married but then I'm I'm a different country!
I think we're thinking next July for wedding and but we're looking into it when we're in Spain cos we want to do it abroad. Would prefer May but dp's brother and sister both have exams next June so can't expect them to take a week off study a couple of weeks before exams start. Nobody else knows this and it's still just a thought process really.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 14/03/2012 20:54

x post memph.

Personally I wouldn't give a monkeys about weight/holidays/weddings and would just get on with it so the yucky pregnancy and first year are out of the way as quickly as possible Grin But then we all know how much I love the baby phase.

kk very exciting!

memphis83 · 14/03/2012 20:59

mlic I dont know, I just trusted what I got told, its irrelevant to me any way as I want to be married before L goes to school and I want another baby before he goes to school too, and no children will happen after that as dh will have the snip asap Grin
kk do you want all your family/friends there if they can make it, I want Cyprus ideally? Whenever we mention a wedding his family ask if we are engaged, like your not allowed to plan a wedding before it, but he hates formality and 'being on show'
