fuzzy on my hen night we did Motown rouge theme we all we all went out in corsets, pants, fishnets and feather headresses! I wore a garter made of sweets and had to get men to eat it off my thigh all night. Was a good laugh. X

MrsHende · 04/02/2012 20:09

Oh my super!!!! Let us know how you get on tomorrow!

I had the most tame hen night - I had a crowd of friends round to my friend's flat with a mobile beautician set up in a bed room for pampering treats. I loved it though, a very chilled out night!

Still no snow here, it all seems to be down south - anyone got any?

MrsHende · 04/02/2012 20:10

ps Love the sweetie garter idea!!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 04/02/2012 20:31

I loved my hen night, we all must have looked mad though! Did all the usual predictable stuff hummer pubs clubs etc. The garter was like the little bracelets u used to get as a kid, elastic with little sherbety circles round (sorry if that's not a great description) but I think u can get them in Ann summers if u fancy using that idea.

PenguinArmy · 04/02/2012 22:12

super I'd personally leave it a few days

I'm not sure you can call mine a 'hen' do as it was mostly blokes (joys of being a physicist). We met at midday in a greasy cafe for a fry up. Went on a tram bar crawl before having a curry and hitting a few bars and clubs. Got home about 4am

cheekydino · 04/02/2012 22:14

Lots of snow here. Tonight is dd's first night in the cot and not the Moses basket - wish us luck!

cheekydino · 04/02/2012 22:16

Mama - sleep regression is 4 months - we got it at 15 weeks and seem to be coming out of it now, fingers crossed!

Super - good luck with the poas tomorrow!!

MamaMaiasaura · 04/02/2012 22:26

Cheeky - good luck with cot Smile

bilblio · 04/02/2012 22:32

About 3 or 4 inches of snow here. It's been snowing since about 1 but very very fine. It's stopped now. Hardly any traffic has gone up though so loads of snow on the road, it will be lethal tomorrow. I plan on forcing DH to take DD out on the sledge just to get her out of my hair for a while. She's so tired lately but keeps getting up early and being really quiet so she doesn't wake us. Then she's in a foul miserable mood all day!
Mum has phoned to say a car has gone through the fence opposite them and is half on the pavement and half in the garden below (Sheffield, they live up a big hill, the road is level with the roofs of the houses opposite.)

Seth has such a sore bum at the moment. I'm putting the thrush cream on again. He keeps howling randomly so I think it's when he does a wee. Poor boy. :(

I had a panic earlier. It looked like there was blood in his poo. Checked in case any of the thrush had started bleeding, but no, had a really good look at the poo and noticed it was stringy and very very red... then remembered I'd found a few wisps of our red blanket on his face and wrapped round his fingers yesterday. He must have been giving it a good chew. :o

super Hope you can sleep tonight, and you get the result you want tomorrow!

Jnice · 05/02/2012 02:19

Hello everyone! Am very jealous of all the snow. We have mild sunny weather which is nice, but winter seems to have passed us by.

L developed a rash from head to toe and the dr said he is allergic to amoxicillin. Thankfully he nearly completed the course for his ear infection so she said he didn't need a different AB. He has terrible diarrhea and really irritable Sad is now on Benadryl.

ODS had his birthday party today, success there, but i now have the family cough Sad

Jnice · 05/02/2012 04:15

biblio poor Seth Sad

I'm a little out of the loop, has he had thrush long? Are you using an anti fungal cream? I've heard coconut oil works too, maybe you can slather that over the top to create a barrier against the pee?

I remember DS2 howling every time he peed - so sad.

Jnice · 05/02/2012 04:17

tally poor seb too, I hope his tummy is all better soon.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 05/02/2012 04:22

Omg mhairi has been up every 2 hours tonight am bloody exhausted!
Hope L, Seth & Seb get better soon x
Not jealous of snow one bit would like the ice to go away though!

Jnice · 05/02/2012 04:42

Oh good grief, ed I hope you get some shut eye soon. 2 hours is barely enough to get back to sleep!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 05/02/2012 07:01

Well I was up at 12, 2, 4 and then up with DS at 6.
[Yawn] dh has said he'll get up in an hour or so and let me get some sleep. This parenting lark van be so tiring at times!

Was going to take kids swimming today buy really don't fancy comin out to that temperature so maybe just soft play.

I'm so proud of C in his first week he's had 3 dry nights and over the past 3 days only a handful of accidents, and all accidents are when he had pants & trousers to pull down. If he has nothing on bottom he never misses Grin

Hope everyone else has had a god sleep. And has a nice peaceful Sunday.

strawberrypenguin · 05/02/2012 08:14

cheeky hope the cot sleeping went OK
super your a braver woman than I am! Hope you get the poas news you want when you re-test
ed that sounds like a fun night, get some good sleep when DH takes over
sending positive vibes to all the poorly babies (and adults) wishing you a speedy recovery

BB3 · 05/02/2012 08:24

I'm joining the tired bus, Edie was rushed to hospital last night with breathing difficulties - she was fine one minute just this cough and cold then suddenly she was pulling at her breath and making raspy noises so we were admitted and she responded really well to treatment - we are home now with inhalers to help her breathing and have to go to drs tomorrow for more antibiotics - she gas bronchilitis Sad less than three weeks after ds! I'm done with this stupid bug it's been in our house for 5 months and we've done everything to get rid if it! The dr said all but one bed in the ward were for babies / kids with this virus and they've not had anything like it for a long time!

Sorry for rant, hope seb is ok!

Good luck for poas today, not to worry you but my really, really faint line resulted in twins.... Wink

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 05/02/2012 08:27

Aww poor edie hope she's better soon, my friends baby had that it must have been so scary for u bb3 xx

MamaMaiasaura · 05/02/2012 08:29

bb3 Sad poor Edie and you. How scary. They should've given u antibiotics for her straight away rather than you having to go to gp. I hope she picks up doom and Esme doesn't catch it.

emmazed · 05/02/2012 08:36

ed poor you, hope you have a rest today. Amazing news about C, he is picking it up quickly

super wow! Hope you get the answer you want....

J is starting to get snotty so I think he has caught the bad cold dh and have. I hope he is not too bad, it was a nasty one for both of us.

I stupidly burnt my hand badly yest when I decided I was sick of cold tea, and warned a cup in the microwave. That will teach me, I am better with tepid items!

Lots of snow here (London) went to the pub with the Nct girls last night, we all walked through the snow storm to get there (all desperate for a drink!). It looks like 3 inches. Shame j too young to understand and play in it, roll on next winter!

emmazed · 05/02/2012 08:38

Just seen your post bb3. Poor Edie, hope she is better soon, must have been so scary to go to the hospital with her. X

MamaMaiasaura · 05/02/2012 08:40

Joining tired bus too. Been feeding pretty much non stop from 3. If I inch away she starts fast breathing and rooting and moaning. If I'm not quick enough the wailing starts. This is all with her eyes closed. She's still going now. Ended up her in bed and just flipping sides every hour. Guess this is her building up my supply. My already vast bossom is going to look comical for pool time at centre parcs tomorrow.

I actually thought I'd lost it last night. I was so angry with dh and shouty at him (over something really small) I shouted at ds1 and I put J in her rocker in dining room for a minute so I could not have to listen to her crying. Sad. I felt like such and failure, hoping I was just tired.

MamaMaiasaura · 05/02/2012 08:42

bb3 sorry just reread and saw they gave you some antibiotics.

BB3 · 05/02/2012 08:59

No mama they didn't I have to go to drs! Can you believe they said they'd run out! I was really cross but thankfully the inhalers are helping her wheeze so it's not as bad as yesterday!

Mama, it's easily done, you did the right thing having a few minutes without a screaming baby and dh will understand!

Oh I'm fed up of cold tea too! I just get dh to make me more and he gets cross that I haven't touched it! Blush

BB3 · 05/02/2012 09:01

Thanks all I was more concerned about how rapidly she went from fine with a cough to really struggling! And having to drive go hospital on the snow! We have s bit here but rain has made it all icy! Hmmm
