Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Ahh P didn't go down until Midnight and woke at 3 and is still farting about now.

Sorry to hear about your nip Pebble :(

Jnice · 26/01/2012 05:49

littlepebble I couldn't face squeezing it either. I kind picked away at it. Feeding got rid of it but the pain is horrendous isn't it? So sorry you're going through that.

Have you read about lecithin?

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/01/2012 05:50

Unfortunately I'm a wimp and didn't say anything just didn't look v happy when they were on phones etc tbh once theain course was out about 5 or 10mins what griped me was by this time dh was helping DS with something and SIL had the balls to tell him off Confused

Jnice · 26/01/2012 06:01

I have hundreds of fly lady emails too - I have searched all over but can't work out how to change - only unsubscribe completely. - anyone know how to do it?

L has a cold and just had calpol for the first time. One of those milestones that we're not crazy about Sad

Jnice · 26/01/2012 06:03

Sorry you went to all that trouble and had a bad evening with the guests edward - how ungrateful. We are iPhone/iPad addicts here but have a rule that we don't use them at the table when eating together. I find it to be extremely rude too. Angry on your behalf!

BB3 · 26/01/2012 06:52

Edward Angry bloody rude, but glad dinner itself went well (I couldn't even contemplate a dinner party at the mo, they'd end up with bread and cheese! Blush).

We had an awful night here ds didn't sleep until 10 then woke up at 4 and girls were restless - mind you I was worse just couldn't settle!

scheh how did dp's exams go? Hope they went well

Scheherezade · 26/01/2012 08:35

So rude ed! We have the same trouble with people not understanding C HAS to go to bed by a certain time or all hell breaks loose. It's not a case of just putting him down later, he gets tired and very grumpy!

LP have you asked if the GP can remove it under local?

Good night here, fed C till he dropped off then woke him up putting sleeping bag on. Put him down awake and he cried for about a minute! Woke at 2.30 for a feed, and started stirring at 5 but I just left him until 7.30. He's busy shouting at his toys to get in his mouth atm Grin

emmazed · 26/01/2012 08:38

Poor cupoftea, I really feel for them. All the best bea

Penelope the gf routine is essentially about 3 hours of naps during the day( enough so they are not overtired and not too much so they sleep at night) and plenty of food during the day (again so they don't wake in the night). J has been sleeping until 7am since 8 weeks. Don't know if due to the gf timings, but it works for us. The current times are:

7am get up and feed
9am - 9.45am nap
11am feed
12-2 nap
2.15 feed
4 nap (although gf says many baby's don't need this by 12 weeks j still does)
5.45pm bath
6.15 feed
7 bed
10.30 wake them up for a feed do they last thought the night (hopefully)

As I say it works for us, generally he is tired when I put him to bed, hungry when I feed him etc. I am not v strict and if he is tired/hungry outside these times I put him to bed/ feed him but this doesn't often happen. There are different timings for different age babies, that is just what I am following at the moment.

emmazed · 26/01/2012 08:42

ed I would have been SO annoyed! I hate lateness, especially if you have made a special effort and your LO needed to go to bed. Grrr

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/01/2012 09:18

Morning all I'm feeling really good this morning DH did all the washing up and got up with C this morning so I have only just gotten out of bed Grin

Scheherezade · 26/01/2012 09:19

That's roughly our routine anyway em, just one hour behind :)

Sorry just saw your post bb3, it went well I think, results in 2 months. I'll be so proud of him if he passes, he's been getting up in the night with C, working full time and doing Cs bedtime routine.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/01/2012 09:20

fuzzy & mrsH are we still meeting tomorrow?

Scheherezade · 26/01/2012 09:21

C couldn't last 2 hours, he's on 90minute cycles.

golemmings · 26/01/2012 09:24

Edward, can't believe how rude they were either. Are they normally like that?

BB sorry you had such a rough night. Have you got any chance of catching up today?

DH hassle rough night 'cos dd was unsettled. She woke at some ungodly hour, he got her settled and just after he left she came running out of her room howling like a banshee. He stayed with her until she fell asleep and fell asleep himself. He then got up with Alex just after 4.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Alex's growth is about to slow down. He's just discovered the wider world and wants to join in. I can't watch telly or read when I'm feeding him, if I sing to him he just sits there giving me the most gorgeous gummy grins, he keeps trying to roll whilst attached (my norks are big but not that big)... I think I might have to feed him in the wardrobe in the dark at this rate...

Off to see my dad today to check up on him which will be nice. Might repolish my sink before I go. Left DH to put the house to bed last night so my sink is a bit grubby today.

TallyBear · 26/01/2012 09:44

Wow this is moving quickly, I've had to skip two pages!

Seb is becoming quite fussy and grizzly at eve feeding times, has anyone else noticed this ? Could it be a growth spurt? He doesn't seem to want anymore.

Oo just felt something in the downstairs department!

emmazed · 26/01/2012 09:48

sch j has only just been able to go 2 hours, it was 90 mins as well until last week

Sorry about the bad nights, hope you manage to get some rest tonight.

go j is the same, he gets so distracted. If I am out he hardly eats anything because he is looking around so much. I need to make sure I am only out for a feed once in a while because he would be even smaller than he is! I went to a cinema screening yesterday which you can bring babies to (saw the artist, really good). J was just transfixed by the screen

LittlePebble · 26/01/2012 10:36

Morning all,
BB3 hope you get chance for some more sleep.
edward yay a lie in!
lemmings bless your dh does he have to work today with no sleep?
em I'm slightly in awe of those who keep to gf and great that it works (little bit Envy) but I'm just far too disorganised!
scheh/ jnice I'm going to docs in a minute as its all blocked again this morning and is agony. Poor e I squealed when he latched on! Hopefully doc will be better than hv was yesterday.

Hi Ed and fuzzy, I'm still up for our wee trip to Braehead! I'm free all day, what time would suit you two?

Scheherezade · 26/01/2012 11:42

Oh I'm so Envy of your meet up, have a lovely day ladies! You don't fancy coming to Derbyshire do you?!

FuzzzyDuck · 26/01/2012 12:52

Yeah I'm still up for it! Was about to message you both on fb. Was thinking, what about meeting in ikea coffee bit? More child friendly and they have things to colour in (for ds Ed). Just a suggestion, if not costa is good for me too! I'm free all day too, usually takes us a few hrs to get ready and out house mind you..! Any time after 12 is good Grin

emmazed · 26/01/2012 13:28

little pebble i am disorganised too, which is why i like it! otherwise i would just have no idea what to do when and things would just get missed. i find it helps me to have structure otherwise he would not get a bath everyday, have enough sleeps etc. i think that is one of the reasons i found the first few weeks so hard, everyday was just a whirlwind of randomness and i found it so hard to deal with (as well as the painful boobs, lack of sleep etc).

right off to have J weighed... i know i will be worried after as he probably wont have put on much, but i think better to know (and worry) than just worry without knowing (i realise that makes no sense, but it does to me)

bilblio · 26/01/2012 14:47

Scheh Intrigued as to where in Derbyshire you are, but don't blame you for not saying, seeing as it's made up of so many little villages. :) I'm up for a meet, and Cheshire and I spoke about it a while ago too...

I currently have Seth asleep in the mai tei, I'm roasting! I've tried putting him down twice, but he woke after a few minutes so back in the sling it is. My plan for today was for me and DH to give the house a good clean & tidy. DH agreed last night but forgot to mention that our friend was coming round to do some recording. Hmm If I'd known I'd have got DH to help clean early before lunch, then sat with my feet up this afternoon...
He swears he told me, several times... but at no point during the many "What are we doing this week?" conversations was it mentioned!
Oh well. I'm off to collect the new car this weekend, I'll just leave him a HUGE list of things to do while we're away. :o

Scheherezade · 26/01/2012 15:32

Bilblio am in a little village near to Ashbourne....!

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 26/01/2012 16:41
