Haha that made me laugh em!! Clever baby, wish mine would do that! He did 20 mins on the mat this morning, might try tummy time this aft.

C is running like absolute clockwork for his naps so far today, and yesterday. I really should do that pile of ironing now..!

I have no reason not to be fat, I'll tuck in Grin

TallyBear · 18/01/2012 14:18

i'm still eating xmas choc! weighed myself this morning and wished i hadn't, put on 3lb since xmas! Seb's weigh in later.... when he wakes up (he dozed off mid-feed Grin

em that's so cute....

mama i posted stew - hope you like it, just needs more red wine than recipe. mind you i cooked to put in freezer so it was cooked twice and tends to dry out a bit.

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 15:22

I microwaved our leftover stew, it just needed 400ml of half water, half stock adding as veg had soaked up the liquid.

Now, I don't want to jinx myself, BUT I feel like I've finally hit my.stride with C, and we're in a proper day and night routine (occasional waking in night aside). He generally naps the same time every day, I know when he needs to go down as he won't be awake more than 90 minutes really.

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 15:45

That's good sch, S generally can last 2 hrs before needing a sleep and has about 4 30min naps a day before bed at 8.30ish and waking about 8.30am the next day. Try stick at it now. I'm a firm believer in routines Smile

LittlePebble · 18/01/2012 15:49

Its official Elijah is huge.

He's 17.6lbs at 13.5weeks and everywhere I go people comment on how big/ chubby/ heavy/ long he is poor thing.

I've told DP he's not allowed to call him Chubs/ Chubba Bubba as I dont want him getting a complex!

This doesnt mean he's destined to be fat does it (paranoid mummy emoticon)?

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 15:58

That's a big baby lp! You must be really chuffed with yourself for doing such a great job feeding him, aren't you bf too?

Size nothing to do with later life size, I know lots of people who's big babies are slim, and little babies big strapping young lads :)

Yep, fd, now we've got something that works for us I'm sticking with it!

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 15:59

Don't worry LP, it certainly doesn't mean he will be big in later life. Once he is crawling/walking, it will come off. Did the HV say anything?! Try not worry though, he just loves his mummy milk!!!

BB3 · 18/01/2012 17:05

That's a great wait little - don't worry it bears mo correlation to teenage weight at this stage. Well done little E on growing so well!

Sassy - has your day got any better? My girls are miserable today and will not be settled! I dont think ive had a peaceful bath for ages and ds wants in every time I get in!

BB3 · 18/01/2012 17:06

Bears mo? Hmmm it's not a growling character from Eastenders!! Bares no even!

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 18:18

LP - Grin I call J fattie fattie bum bum Blush. Ally babies been big around 91st centile and none are fat. Eldest is almost 12 with big feet 6.5 and tall, Ds2 who is only just 4 is size 11.5 and tall for his age too. Don't worry you can't overfeed bfed.

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 18:18

All minor ally

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 18:22

Tally - it was delicious and everyone liked it, thanks. I've got leftover to freeze and will follow advice with wine. How long do you reheat it, and is that from frozen? Next time I'm going to half ingredients as was so much there.

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 18:23

Sorry keep posting Blush

J slept for almost 4 hours today. Had friends over so I couldn't join her. She never normally naps like that in day and I missed her Grin

BB3 · 18/01/2012 18:26

Oh we call Edith-may greedy Edie, Edie mcgreedy and Edith-may-have-had-to-much-milk! Ayse is frog (she pulls really attractive frog faces) and grunty bunty (bunty was my nan's nickname) and she grunts and growls at us!! So all very flattering!

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 18:42

A is my little 'dolly' or monkey bum, cheeky chops. We had a talk about this in the nursery once. There was a little girl (age 2 I think) called Anna. Her parents and wee friends uses to call her 'anna banana'. We had a visitor in one day who asked her what her name was.. She answered Anna banana!! Her mum decided to stop the nicknames after that!

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 18:42

A? Is my daughter called A? I mean S!! Grin

CheshireDing · 18/01/2012 18:45

I tell P she has her Dad's big big toe (not so good for a girl) and that she has a big gut.

DP says we can't say things like that once she can talk.

At the moment she thinks it's quite funny to have her gut pointed out Grin.

DP tells her she has bird hair.

She is still beautiful though :)

Went to CAB today to see if we could afford another baby and me to stay off work and spend more time on our business. Wasted 1 hour of my life I will never get back for no information. I think I will go and have a look in the employment section here.

TallyBear · 18/01/2012 18:54

Mama glad you liked it. I've love to take the credit but I'm afraid I need to give it to Jamie Oliver. I'm not a big fan of his but that stew is lovely. I took it out of the freezer for a few hours, put it on the hob for a bit to finish defrosting and then for about an hour (I think) in the oven. You could prob leave on the hob but more convenient for me. Just add stock and wine until it looks right.

Seb is known as Munchkin, grumble-chops and grizzly-bear!

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 19:09

C gets called grumpy bum and chubby wubby from me :)

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 19:52

When do we make a new thread? My phone can't handle this much longer!

C just woke up after going to bed, went absolutely ballistic :( dp seems to have settled him....

emmazed · 18/01/2012 20:15

J gets called Bobs, Little Monks, Munchkin, Joe Joe, Grumps and masses of ramdom names they pop into my head at the time.

i am fairly rubbish at FB so haven't checked our page since i joined it, and now it wont let me! it is still on my list as a group - am i doing something wrong, or maybe i am no longer on it. can anyone who is good with this type of thing help. i wanted to look at your piccies!

J is is bed, DH is out, the sterilising & washing up is done and so i can just chill out - bliss.

Cheshire shame about the CAB - my mum helps out at one of them and i know she would be really disappointed that you got no help. i think it very much depends on who you talk to.

Little - wow that is amazing! you should be proud not worried about it. i am trying not to worry that J is too little, so you shouldn't worry that E is too big

BB3 · 18/01/2012 20:26

Cheshire I'm with you on cab my sister went to do the same and all they said was 'we can't really help' and 'visit our online site'. I was really cross and asked why we'd been say there for 2 hours and they should just give out leaflets saying what they can and can't help with. Some can be very good though!!

BB3 · 18/01/2012 20:28

Oh the girls do have nice nicknames too, flower, lady lou, lady lumps! But they're not used as frequently!! Blush

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 18/01/2012 21:30

mama if you've not yet bought a travel cot I have the graco contour which has an attachment that means you can have the mattress raised higher (but only if baby can't yet pull themselves up)
Sorry don't remember who asked but if u google tax credits calculator you can work out how much TC u would get if u reduced hours/gave up work, I did this last night and realised that I can now afford to drop to 2 days per week GrinGrin

It was me who thought period had returned but it was only a spot on that one day Confused is that quite normal hope it wasn't implantation bleed as we haven't been carefulBlush

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 21:45

Oooh ed......!

I had hoped to read in bed but as soon as I put the little reading light on he started to stir :( I need one of those book clip light thingys!
