Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Goodness pen, that was quick! I was aprox 26 hrs from first contraction till she was born. It's funny how everyone says you just 'know' when it's happening. I spent those last few weeks wondering with every little pain, but then I just 'knew' when I felt that tightening that it was the start. Think the word 'induction' shocked her into getting ready! How awful though that you never got to see A straight away. That must have been very hard for you Sad

Think I'll be visiting gp this wk. starting to think all is not right down there Blush. Reading up on prolapse, worryingly it's sounding like symptoms I have Confused

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 00:19

Oh and I had a look in S mouth tonight and on her lower gums at the front looked very pale. I def think a little tooth is on the way!!! Grin

Penelope1980 · 18/01/2012 04:01

I hope you're OK and the GP visit goes well fuzzy. Yeah my labour was so fast I went into shock afterward, so didn't really stop and think about what was happening and that I didn't get to see my baby for a few hours until later. Lucky my Mum was at the labour - she wasn't supposed to be there but was at my house when it all started, so ended up coming with me and DH, was perfect as she could look after A while I was in surgery. As it was my first, the midwife said that next time I should be prepared for a home birth. Hmmm.

CheshireDing · 18/01/2012 06:47

Fuzzzy I thought that with P's lower gum yesterday that it looked a bit white on top, wondered if I was imagining it though.

Had P weighed yesterday and she is 11lb11oz at 15 weeks. There are 4 of them sat at the desk at the weighing place yet that don't even bother putting a dot on the graph. Talk about waste of NHS resources!

DH had to mark where she is on the graph in her red book and the WHO graph. She has dropped back down now but I think it's because she never lost weight in the beginning, she was a crazy feeding baby. Looks like we are going through that again now though, feeding for an hour at a time in the day.

CheshireDing · 18/01/2012 06:50

Can I join the hair loss group. I wonder if there has ever been a case where all the hair fell out? Mine is usually ridiculously thick and curly, feels very lank at the moment.

BB3 · 18/01/2012 07:04

Yay fuzzzy! (not yay for prolapse, yay for name change!!) hope gp visit starts the process of getting it sorted x

Pene / fuzz, wow really manic births - thankfully both babies are perfect little munchkins after it all so makes it worth it! Well done on blocking out the pain memories though, with ds, I was in labour for 3.5 days, induced by drip on day three, followed by three epidurals (none of which worked) and quite bad internal tearing and I still remember the skin peeling pain of each blasted contraction! Grin I do remember loving the pushing part though, really enjoyed it (despite the fear I may poo myself! Blush).

Fuzzzy - girls have 7oz now (8 of expressed breast milk, 7 of formula), they are a bit older (17 weeks today) but have been on that for a good few weeks - you know s better than hv does.

We have red cheeks, White gums and gnawing too so teething definitely starting. I've already stocked up on Ashton and parsons here as it's so hard to get now. Although still think we are a way away from actual teeth!

Poor ds has woken up with d&v bug, poor boy cannot catch a break Sad. Oh well. this too shall pass and all that.

BB3 · 18/01/2012 07:26

Cheshire - thats a good weight. I tend not to worry about a little drop it gain here and there as long a they haven't gone down two or three of the sections!

Anyone else got a super wriggly baby? Edith-May shuffle down and around in circles on her back (she'll do a full 180 turn in bed) and Ayse-Rose keeps trying to roll over! Here comes the awful fun bit where you can't turn your back for a second but they're too young to strap in jumparoo's Grin

Engelsmeisje · 18/01/2012 08:12

Good idea scheh will give it a try!

Fuzzzy when I give M a bottle of BM he has about 5oz.

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 08:22

bb3 I've been putting C in the bouncer! Mind, he spends a lot of time sat upright on our knee or in his chair so his neck is 100%, whereas he hates lying down and just lies there looking very unimpressed!

He woke at 3 last night :( I think it was teething rather than hunger as he was proper munching on his hands. Then he did a poo, nappy change woke him, and it took ages to get him back off!

LittlePebble · 18/01/2012 08:24

Hello all, wrote a lovely long post at four thirty and mumsnet wouldn't post it/ or my iPhone lost it grrr!
Tally and scheh hope you had good nights again?
fuzzzy hope gp visit sorts everything out sounds painful.
E takes 5-7 oz of 1/2 bm/ 1/2 f and often will have both boobs as well (fat baby emoticon)
Hope ds is alright Bb3
Eli had his second jabs yesterday was grizzly last night couldn't get him down until 10.30 but he then slept 5hrs in one go which hasn't happened for a couple of weeks. Think I drugged him with calpol lol!
Going to get him weighed today am wondering what on earth he'll be now, he's filling all his 3-6 months and he's only 13 weeks....

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 08:28

Oops crossed posts LP! Not a great night, but at least he wasn't crying! He's just fed and dropped off again so wondering whether to get up for the sake of routine...or go back to bed...

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 08:31

Drugging with calpol obviously the way forward!

Don't envy you bb having to keep an eye on two soon!

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 08:31

God knows what my phone did there......

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 09:16

Thanks for all messages about feeds. Gave her a few btls of 6oz yesterday and she seemed much happier after rather than the tears cause it was finished. Would hate to think she is still hungry. Will see how today goes.

bb3 oh your poor boy Sad. Hope he's feeling much better soon.
cheshire I think our girls must be nearing the same. If I remember from the stats thread, P was 2oz lighter than S (who was 6.2) and at 15 wk weigh, S was 11.11!
pen glad to hear you had your mum with you Smile. Home birth next time might be good idea! Envy of the 4 hrs!
sch hope little c is napping btr for you today. Sounds like these teeth have alot to answer for in our little babies!!
little curious about E weight today! He sounds like he loves his food!!

Sorry if I missed anyone.. I swear I still have baby brain! I need to have a quick clean if house today before dentist lady is out at 2pm. S better help me out a bit and play under her gym for a while. I did just rxt my mum though to ask if she fancies having her for a few hrs, I'm such a chancer!!!

bilblio · 18/01/2012 10:42

BB3 Are you better? sorry DS isn't, it's a never ended round of illness at this time of year. Seth "runs" but stays in one place. DD was a big wriggler. When she was 3 months we were living at my parents as my Dad was in intensive care. I remember putting her on the living room floor while I ate my tea, she rotated 360 degrees, and moved about 2 metres up the room. The nurses all knew her as the Goblin Child (that's what I called her) as she'd make the weirdest noises in the morning when I phoned to see how Dad was.

Had the coil fitted yesterday. Flipping uncomfortable!!! But I feel okay today. Also realised Seth should have had his 12 week jabs last week (obviously what with him being 12 weeks :o ) Our GP sends text messages to remind you about appointments... but babies don't generally have phones and I'd not written it down. Blush Plus with all the burglary stress my head is still all over the place. They've put my mobile number on his records so I'll get a text message now.

I'm gutted, was going to test drive a lovely red car this morning but got a phone call to say another garage sold it late yesterday. It looked perfect for us and a bargain. :( Back to square one. Why do people not like red cars? There aren't enough of them. Silver is boring... and hard to see on misty drizzly days...(most days round here.) I may have to settle for a non-red one. :(
Can't remember who asked but we're looking at Toyota Auris's. Big enough for the camping gear, but not too big.

sassy34264 · 18/01/2012 10:51

this fecking phone is driving me mad. it just wont let me post! have to go through a whole rigmorole, click on title so it goes to the beginning, then click show pages,. then go to last page. then click on post- arghhhhh!!

im in such a pissed off mood already. just had a lovely relaxing bath,. where eva cried the whole time and i kid you not, as soon as my foot touched the bathroom floor she fell asleep. arghhhhhh!!!

j and i have an obession with pressing the buttons on the tv and the sky box, so i am forever fixing itvand they have been doing it all morning. argh!!!!!

and it must be an age thing cos eva hasnt slept through for days now and yesterday and the day before have been a nightmare with her crying and feeding and crying and feeding! argh!!!!

just about to take her to the hospital for her 2nd scan on her hips. hopefully ot will have corrected itself by now.

im Envy at those with no periods. im due my 3rd one at the end of this month. think someone wants me to breed!

scones think you are the southern version of me. (do you think it might be something to do with our mums? think i recall you having a abrupt tell it like it is mum too ) my babies live in sleepsuits until 6months and after that i still only dress them if we are going out. and i wouldnt/ dont change eva until its dirty! got enough washing as it is. i also have a 3 sick rule too. i will chsnge if ive been sicked on 3 times. if not, i dont bother. that came from having twins and at first chsnging every time. just couldnt keep up with washing. Smile

bb3 your poor dc. hope he does catch that break soon. x

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 11:06

Rubbish sleep last night too. So tired but friends over after preschool so can't sleep.

Who posted beef stew link? I'm cooking it today Grin

Re clothes, I do dress J each day in a cute outfit. She's my first girl and prob last baby. I've so many lovely outfits for her that I want to get wear out of them. I'll prob put her in party dress at weekend just because she's growing so fast and won't get much more wear. She's 13 weeks on Saturday and 3-6 months fits her. Vests seem like they'll be too small soon and some of the outfits (esp next ones) fit her now so wonder if they'll last much longer.

Decided on travel cot for hols in few weeks. I'm just paranoid as she'll be close to floor and I love that at home she's on same level as me and I can see her and touch her.

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 11:09

And doorbell just woke her. Bugger

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 11:19

Omg I just found chocolate. My day instantly got 100x better!!

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 11:20

Lpl scheh

Scheherezade · 18/01/2012 11:22

Oh, best before May last year :(

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 11:22

Try it, still might be ok.

MamaMaiasaura · 18/01/2012 11:25

Trying to get j back sleep, she keeps grinning at me. Had to giggle earlier as we even farted in unison. Also realised ds2, dd and me are all colour coordinated today Smile

emmazed · 18/01/2012 12:07

Hey

I give J 7oz but he usually drinks 6 or 6.5 (sometimes less) I was told that if they drain a bottle or two then put an extra ounce in the bottle as better to waste it (which we do a lot of!) than they could have had more. My book (your baby week by week) says that at 13 weeks they can drink up to 7oz. Fuzzy, don't worry about giving too much, if she wants it she will drink it. Not sure why your hv thought 6 was too much!

I must say J stays in slightly soggy clothes when he didn't used to, and clothes get re-used the next day as long as not been sicked on. The washing is non-stop otherwise

Exciting news, j just rolled from his front during tummy time to his back. I was so excited, and he was so surprised that he cried! Hope he will do it again soon

bilblio shame about the car. We got a silver one because that was pretty much all that was on offer. I would have loved a bright colour

FuzzzyDuck · 18/01/2012 12:30

Good to know you are all feeding more, doesn't make me feel so bad now! Yeah she does always drain the bottle, even the foam from the formula!! 6oz it will be then. I might increase her last bottle now to 7oz then as for past week now she has been unsettled through the night. Not quite waking up, but stirring enough that has woken me. Maybe she is feeling hungry then.

Congrats baby em! That's wonderful!! I'm sure I would have been in tears to! When I have S on her tummy, I try to help her flip over but she hasn't got hang of it yet in her own! Can just roll into her side, but mind u she hasn't done it much recently!! Lazy bones Grin

My mum came and took my little duckling so I could tidy. I done 3 loads of washing but then realised it would take me forever to try get it all dry at once so the rumble drier has been going crazy! Hate using it aswell but needs must!!

Oh sch share the choc..!! I'm craving some so bad but refusing to buy as I won't stop. Just keep thinking bridesmaid dress, bridesmaid dress.....Envy
