I loved the third and fourth true blood books but I do think the series is better than the books (usually I feel the other way round) can't wait till season 4 is on tv!
Am just have a bit of chocolate for some energy then will tackle the HUGE ironing pile! :-(

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/01/2012 19:58

Sorry meant season 5 (I downloaded S4 last year) Blush

Scheherezade · 16/01/2012 19:59

The taking him and bottle was probably her wanting to be involved, but going on about supplements is just jealousy/bitterness.

Stew was lovely in the end :) I boiled some potatoes and chucked them in and that thickened it up lovely.

We have to iron as the dryer crumpled things, I don't bother if they're hung on the line, apart from dp's shirts.

Am sure I don't brush my hair often enough to notice hair loss Grin

FuzzzyDuck · 16/01/2012 20:56

right, didnt take much to twist my arm Grin. did have to be a bit dif though and add an extra 'z'. someone else already had it Envy

i did notice that my hair was falling out a lot! i blamed my hairdresser though for using to much bleach to dye my hair last time Blush. i loved my hair while i was preg, was so thick and blow dried lovely. now it just hangs there looking forry for itself :(

i think S is starting to teeth, keeps getting very flushed cheeks and is chewing on her hand big time. cant imagine little teeth in that big gumsy smile now!! past two nights she has been in bed sleeping by 8pm! she had a nap at 6 til 6.30pm, had some milk then quick bath and dressed for bed and was screaming and rubbing her eyes agaib by 7.20pm! managed to distract her a bit but then gave her some more milk and was in her bed and sleeping by 8pm. it is good to have my evenings back, its the only time i can get anything done. my house is a tip! the washing is over flowing, ironing is screaming to be done, dishes piling up by the sink. the list goes on! gonna bring the ironing through to livingroom and do it while i catch up with celeb bb. just lacking the energy to do it.

no doubt i'll be back later Grin

Penelope1980 · 16/01/2012 21:13

I dreamed about the Fluffy Duck drinking game last night and blame you lot.

I read all the True Blood books in Amotai's first 6 weeks actually, I really liked the first 8 or so but thought they really lost their way after that. Loved Seasons 1 and 2 of the series, esp Season 2! Reading them was perfect for while breast feeding, although sometimes felt a bit creepy in the middle of the night feeds!

Scheherezade · 16/01/2012 21:25

Another one who's teething here, chewing on things, and flushed cheeks. One side was bright red today. He's too little for teething rings, don't know what to do for him :(

TallyBear · 16/01/2012 21:26

My dh got me the books a while ago and I went through them in a few weeks. Then had to wait for the new ones each time! Looks like there might be another one out. Amazon here I come, although I'm not sure how I'm going to find the time to read at the moment. I think S5 is out in USA soon so should be ready for download soon - yay! There are elements of each I like.

Bbb (bottle, bath, bed!) bit late tonight but I think Seb is finally asleep.

Scheherezade · 16/01/2012 21:52

Haha I like that tally! Never thought of that, for us It's bbbb (boob, bath, boob, bed!)

Night ladies, am tackling my ironing tomorrow, like to have at least one task a day to aim at!

MamaMaiasaura · 16/01/2012 21:56

Eek! So busy.

Another drooling hand chewer here. I looked back thro ds"s books and the were similar but wasn't till 6 & 8 months they actually cut first tooth. They can teeth for ages when teeth moving round in gums.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/01/2012 22:43

I'm going to order Mhairi an Amber necklace tomorrow as she's started chewing her Tongue Confused I've heard they're good, also if baby is really restless aston parsons teething powders are like magic u get them from the pharmacy butbi think they're quite hard to come by now.

MamaMaiasaura · 16/01/2012 22:56

*Ed^ Not heard of amber necklace.so you wear it or baby? How's it work (lazy me I could just googleGrin). Did remind me I wanted to get a bfeeding necklace that they can play with when nursing. Tho perhaps not a good sea. J has started pulling off regularly (usually when milk letting down) grinning at me and having a little chat. I think he's saying, it's yummy but look how fast it comes out, maybe I can spray your iPhone more. Or perhaps she's saying, look at me and get off your phone mother! Lol.

Right all my 3 asleep and I should be too. Hope dh doesn't wake me when he gets home

MamaMaiasaura · 16/01/2012 22:57

Oh and she's been giggling when I gently tickle her and blowing raspberrys at me when I low them to her. Too cute Grin

bilblio · 16/01/2012 23:08

Yay fuzzzy! :o

Tonight Seth has finally realised it's far easier to just put his thumb in his mouth rather than his entire fist. Unfortunately this discovery is tied into him apparently having a fight with Edward Scissorhands. He has a really deep gouge on his cheek. Nails have now been cut.
I've been wondering if it's the start of teething as along with the fist chewing he's started getting a bit drooly.

For future reference my children's dentist friend says Dentinox is far better than Bonjela.

I'm feeling rotten tonight, fuzzy head and stomach cramps. I had to go to bed earlier as the room was spinning. Hoping Seth lets me have another good night and I feel better tomorrow. Not that I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I had a text earlier reminding me I have an appointment for a smear and to have a coil fitted. Oh Joy! :(

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/01/2012 23:09

mama baby wears it and the heat from baby's body causes beads to release oils or something and calms baby down I think it's a similar concept to the copper bracelets you can wear for arthritis?
M does that to me too when feeding (and I too am constantly on iPhone haha so it might be that) Grin

mrsh & fuzzzy when u want to meet up (apologies if we have already said when I forget and am too lazy to scroll back
Lol) I do remember we had said costa in breahead?

LittlePebble · 16/01/2012 23:10

Mama E has just started doing that he was really laughing when I pretended to eat his tummy tonight before bath
(we also do bath bottle bed boob bed boob until eventually get him down)

Scones yay for sleep!

Scheh Angry at mil definitely hide formula so she can't do it again.

FuZzzyDuck much better name, and Pene lol at dreaming about it.

bilblio hope car is a nice one what make are you looking at?

Cheshire thanks re boob - still very sore today hurts loads when he's feeding on that side it's worse than when first started bf. hoping it'll get better overnight.

LittlePebble · 16/01/2012 23:13

X post again bilblio and Edward! Think e is teething too we have a fist in dribbly mouth, will look into amber thank you Smile

SconesForTea · 16/01/2012 23:15

DD2 is being completely adorable, grinning and cooing at me [totally smitten emoticon]. And she went to bed at 10pm which will do just fine for now.

I don't dress her unless it's a very special occasion - like Christmas [guilty but knackered emoticon]. She lives in babygros. And I don't change those unless she's sick on them (one of the advantages of cloth nappies being no poo leaks Grin). I realised the other day she's been wearing her babygro for three days. She was promptly sick all over it.

I dressed DD1 in a different outfit every day.

I noticed today that she had one red cheek and is starting to dribble a lot - teething already! They grow up sooo quickly.

FuzzzyDuck · 17/01/2012 00:35

Ironing done Grin but laying all over living room as I was to tired to put it all away haha! It's a start. I sorted through the box of S stuff aged 3-6months. Think I'll need to move her up in sleep suits as I noticed tonight the one she is in isn't quite long enough in the legs. She is quite a small baby but has long limbs and the only sleep suits and long sleeve vests that fit properly are from next (good taste that daughter of mine!). Still fitting in a few of them for the time being. It's funny looking at the size of the 3-6 stuff thinkin 'she will never be that size!'. Sure I said the same when she went from newborn to 0-3. Oh how they grow!!

ed don't think we set a date but I'm free Wednesday morning/afternoon or it would be wk after. After sayin I had no social life, things came up!! Let me know what suits you and MrsHende

Right, bed time. No dreaming about fuzzy ducks u lot!! Grin

CheshireDing · 17/01/2012 02:18

Gutted am stuck awake with P and her snot nose.

Last night she only woke at 4.30am, I fear tonight she is going to wake loads.

Is that really why P has had her fist and fingers in her mouth, because teeth are moving round the gum??? Seems so soon :( I am scared of going through teething so was going to buy Sophie Giraffe but will look at necklace too/instead.

I love P wearing baby grows in the day, because it keeps my baby little :) but at the moment she has grown out of one lot and is too big for the next lot. Plus she has a bunch of clothes which she will grow out of. P wears something different every day and a new baby grow at bedtime. Now I have read everyone elses posts it sounds like I am mad Grin

Fuzzzy P has some Next baby grows which a friend of DH gave us after their baby outgrew them. Even though they have been worn loads they still look and feel lovely.

Going to get the heavy but little (so not a good combination) baby weighed today.

Penelope1980 · 17/01/2012 02:39

Are flushed cheeks a sign of teething? Someone mentioned that earlier and A has had that, I just thought it was the heat though.

Scheherezade · 17/01/2012 05:36

C wears new jammies for bed and has at least one change in the day due to sick/dribble!

I heard of the amber necklace but it seems too much of a choking hazard to me Confused

strawberrypenguin · 17/01/2012 05:55

Wow, just caught up! Mama yes it sounds like our DC's are the same age Smile
RE lazy baby dressing, yep sleep suits most of the time here too. Although he does have a couple of pairs of trousers he looks very cute in.
W has just this week discovered that he can chew on his hand, seems to do it mostly when tired at the moment but I did have a mild omg is he teething already panic.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 17/01/2012 06:40

fuzzy I can't do this Wednesday but can next week? Does next wed suit you MrsH?
haha I started the ironing but didn't finish it again! And now te wash baskets full again. Think I'm gonna cheat and send it out then promise to stay on top of it lol.
DS is going to mil today so I'm gonna blitz the house hopefully M has a nice easy day so I can get everything done.

When M was little I had "fancy" babygrows for daytime they looked like a wee outfit but was really a onesie. ATM she is usually in a dress and tights in daytime and babygrows at night.

Penelope1980 · 17/01/2012 06:47

The amber necklaces are really popular here, my sister uses them as do most of her friends. There is a lot of debate about them as well, so much so the Ministry of Consumer Affairs said in their guidelines that they should never be worn unsupervised due to the choking hazard. One of the news stations also ran a story about it, the write up is here:

www.3news.co.nz/Teething-necklaces-dangerous---sceptics/tabid/423/articleID/160820/Default.aspx

A uni study also found that the amber needed to be heated up to 200 degrees to release any properties.

But, having said that, my sister swears by them, as do other people I know. I probably won't get one, but that's mainly because I'm too paraniod to put anything around his neck. I guess it just comes down to whether or not you beleive that the amber can release chemicals or properties that help with teething

MrsHende · 17/01/2012 07:17

Hi Ed and Fuzzy I can't do next Wednesday but could do next Thursday or Friday - any use?
