New thread just for you star!

Well, hopefully not just for you, or it could get a bit boring talking to yourself Grin.

Oh yes, I meant to ask - are everyone else's dc potty trained? Ds is dry (and has been for some time) but not clean. He WILL NOT do poos anywhere other than his pants - Aaaargh. Have tried potty, toilet, stickers, bribery with sweets, and even telling him that if he tells me I'll put a nappy back on just for him to do a poo (as suggested by the hv) but to no avail. He knows he is doing it as he hides away, but if I stop him doing that he just holds it in till I'm busy with ds2 and don't notice... Am at my wits end...

Oh, and if anyone is feeling down right now may I recommend those giant space hoppers - the dc got me one for Xmas and I've just been outside with ds1 - was great!!! There's nothing like reliving your childhood to cheer you up!!!

ronshar · 19/01/2012 13:53

Csws, it is pants having the money issue over your head all the time. Have you looked at an Audi a5/a4 good size and the estates have big back seats. We all fit in the golf but we only have W in a backed booster and H in a seat booster.

Don't get too excited about midwife just yet. I am in process of applying. HP I would love to hold you hand through your next labour. No one would be interfering with you on my watch!!

Ekka. Canada not too far away and you would still have us for company (smile) on iPad no square bracket thingies.

My job. Keep an open mind and never say never. You have to the luxury of you on your side. And your children are delicious so another one would be as well whenever it arrived.

Pistachio. I love the stage dd2 is at. I love the concentration on their faces when they are climbing around the place.

ronshar · 19/01/2012 13:55

Oh and yes totally trained. I even found W standing up the other morning! That was a shock. It took around 7 months though. W didn't want to poo on the loo but eventually I just kept returning him to the loo when I knew he needed to go. It was frustrating and made me angry, a lot.

Myjob, how awful. The way things are going this is going to turn into a job hunting thread rather than post natal Sad

Ronshar - that's what I need to do, but I always get distracted and he takes advantage of that. Still it's nice to hear that it will happen eventually (I know that really of course but some days it feels as if this will go on forever!)

HavePatience · 19/01/2012 15:53

Oh no myjobSad I hope it's just a transition and that your dh will keep his job. Was he retraining/is he still? I seem to remember an exam but I may have mixed that up...

Has there been any talk of what might happen with the pub? Might it just transfer management and keep staff?

Sad I wish I had something constructive to say...
(((hug)))

HavePatience · 22/01/2012 22:24

Oh thanks, Ronshar!
If it ever happens (a big if), then I'll take you up on that. If not a mw yet, you'll need a weapon to fight off the internal exam loving mws. Dh has a medieval sword but it's not sharp.

Hi all sorry I've not been on much. Myjob that situation sounds very stressful and I hope it all works out I your and dh's favour.

Ronshar hope going back to work went well. Smile

I'm very tired of life today, school is on red alert for Ofsted which means we all rush around in a perpetual state of panic. The new management role means I just get to panic more. Ds has been tantruming every bath time which is tiring. I have a thumping head and my ironing lady (who does Dh shirts) just rang me to tell me I'm not washing them properly. Angry

Aside from that I have huge bags under my eyes and feel I've aged ten years in the last few weeks.

Sorry to come on and moan Sad

HavePatience · 25/01/2012 20:00

PP you should have told her dh washed them!
Are you pg? Grin

Glad you are physically feeling better, myjob :)

Super tired here. Still very anaemic Confused
Mixture of birth control methods has me in hormonal imbalance/overdrive. I feel so strange and anything can set me off in tears. No, I'm not pg.

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/01/2012 20:30

In what way are you not washing them correctly? Confused

OP posts:
Purpleprickles · 25/01/2012 22:18

No not pg HP. Just stroppy Grin

CSWS apparently I'm washing them too high (I wash them at 40) and it's all been since I got my new machine (maybe she is suggesting I get a new one). She claims they are really creased. Admittedly I do have a superfast spin now so it could be that. It just really was the last thing I needed when I'd just got in and was multitasking making tea and a train track. I kept my cool as I do like her, she's been in our lives for 5 yrs and she keeps my house lovely but she does have a tendency to boss us around! She reminds me of that character from Keeping Up Appearances. i did want to tell her to shove them up her arse though Grin

Purpleprickles · 25/01/2012 22:20

HP just re-read the end of your message. I think we'd be excellent company for each other at the moment Smile Hope you feel less hormonal soon. My cycle is completely messed up at the moment so I'm in hormone overdrive Sad

CantSleepWontSleep · 25/01/2012 23:08

Oh yes my newish one has a faster spin than my old, and if I use it clothes are VERY creased. Not such a problem if I tumble, but if not then not so good. Well at least it should be easy for you to set a slower spin speed. 40 degrees perfectly normal though!

Grin myjob! I didn't even think of that at first! Yes, her job is to iron creases so she should not be moaning about them! Haha!
Cheek!
