New thread just for you star!

Well, hopefully not just for you, or it could get a bit boring talking to yourself Grin.

I wish my surname really was patience. How cool would that be?

How was your first night as a tooth fairy, myjob?

Purpleprickles · 09/01/2012 20:43

Thanks for all of your positive comments Myjob Smile Pistachio I know what you mean about the ttc bit, it's all that waiting and not knowing. Myjob I'm sorry you feel so Sad and I hope for you that there does become a way to have a third somehow.

Not much to report here, back at work and overloaded already. I'm now coordinator for three classes and one is in a real mess so it falls to me to try and sort it out. It's a real baptism of fire and makes me long for July when I can hand the job back to it's rightful owner! J is continuing to act far too old and throw amazing strops. They aren't tantrums anymore, more what I would expect from a 5 year old, bottom lip sticking out, quiet voice 'I wanted to watch one more Peppa Pig' and today in the car fake crying! Surely he is too young for that malarkey? Mainly though he is good so I shouldn't complain too much.

HP Q's video is so cute!

Oh and yes Myjob congrats to ds for loosing his first tooth. Did the fairy come? One year my brother wrapped half a peanut up in a tissue in the hope that the tooth fairy would be fooled. She wasn't Grin

HavePatience · 10/01/2012 06:03

Pp I posted a photo over Christmas of Q doing the lip out face. Same thing. Lip out, sulk and a fake cry/whinge. Utterly annoying.

I hope you filled your day, myjob Grin
50p is such a BIG coin! What a lovely surprise!

Q has such a fun imagination (see fb status). I absolutely love it. Also, He was sitting next to a little boy at football during a drink break on saturday and made a fist with one hand and said "a shark ate my fingers, see?" then spread out his hand "oh! He spit them out! My hands taste like rotten cabbage! Can you see the shark? Here it comes! Watch out! Oh! It just swam right by us. We are so lucky!"

pepperrabbit · 11/01/2012 21:21

Evening, just checking in.
V quiet here tonight.
DS1 has a very nasty rash that I'm hoping is an allergy to his new shin pads (for hockey) because I haven't a clue what else it might be - itchy and stinging, he was in tears in the bath.
DS2 has just had a sudden episode of upset tummy
DH dealt with this and then he decided he didn't feel well and went straight to bed.
DD went to bed without a screaming fit for the first time in several weeks (suspicious).
All silent upstairs at the mo Hmm
So, just me...
Can you tell I'm at work tomorrow, and it's an important day as I have my year end review with my new boss - so simply can't a) be ill or b) be looking after other people who are ill. Confused
Ho hum.

HavePatience · 11/01/2012 21:53

Oh fingers crossed for you, pepper! I hope all stay well!

Csws about the bone marrow thing - I know that's for expat on here, but does anyone know... I thought I was on The register but haven't donated since abing Q... So has my time n the registe expired? And does the childbirth blood transfusion count? Now that I know not everyone who gives birth has a transfusion...

HavePatience · 11/01/2012 21:54

Typos autocorrect arhhhh having to abing? Wtf

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/01/2012 23:09

Your time on the register doesn't expire star, but sadly now that you have had a transfusion you are not eligible to give blood, and thus not eligible to donate bone marrow. Sad

HavePatience · 12/01/2012 06:34

That's horrible. They should explain that before giving a transfusion. They just came in and asked me if I was ready for my transfusion. To be honest I didn't even realise t was blood at the time Blush I was in such shock from everything and kept being close to passing out. Angry

CantSleepWontSleep · 12/01/2012 09:51

they don't give transfusions unless people really need them star, so explaining that it would stop you from giving blood won't and shouldn't be a priority.

I know you're right, you just never know and if I could be a match for someone I'd want to do it.

HavePatience · 13/01/2012 19:46

Hello everyone. I hope you are all doing well Smile
I am tired.
Common theme among mothers.
Good thing we love our children Grin

Myjob it sounds like you need all your blood at the moment to keep you strong! I hope you wake up feeling better tomorrow and get to enjoy the party.

So glad it's Friday here. Dh is out tonight so J and I have spent the evening playing dominoes (his new favourite game) and snuggling up on the sofa together. I'm making my first official order of cupcakes for my friend's daughters christening tomorrow. She is paying me which is a bit scary as I'm worrying that they will turn out terribly and not be worth paying for. I'm really hopeful though that at some point in my life this could be a career change so I need to get experience now. Other than that we have a trip to the Transport Museum planned as our year tickets finish this weekend and then just relaxing...I hope.

HP- Last term I'd collect J early when possible and head off to the cafe in our local library for chocolate cake too. The simple things can be so lovely can't they Smile

Hope all well.

Sounds very lovely pepper. I'm a bit Envy

Blush

Report writing season and I'm wayyyy behind. Damn it.

pepperrabbit · 17/01/2012 10:25

Well you won't be Envy today!
up at 4am with DS2 being sick Sad
DH has had to call in sick and go back to bed - unheard of - as he has an upset tummy.
And DS1 was literally, just stepping out of the house when he had to rush to the loo (not sick though)
So everyone is home.
On a Wednesday Confused
I am mostly prowling round the house bleaching anything that's stuck down and boil washing anything that isn't Grin.
And I was going to a friend's for lunch today Angry

pepperrabbit · 17/01/2012 10:26

Obviously i am fully aware it is actually Tuesday
ahem.
