New thread just for you star!

Well, hopefully not just for you, or it could get a bit boring talking to yourself Grin.

Oh cf how exciting!!!! Huge congratulations and a big hug! Xmas Grin

star - I have a special invisibility cloak especially for soft play places.... though to be fair I try to sit near the door so I might spot if one of them really really tried to escape.

Cf just wanted to say again how pleased I am for you! I know this has been a long journey and so happy that S will have a brother! :) have a very, very happy Christmas! xxxx

Ekka · 24/12/2011 05:57

Cf- what amazing news!!! So happy for you, I hope you have a lovely Christmas...

Pepper - it was great to see you and your tribe in town. I thought you looked very calm and collected actually; whereas I felt totally frazzled. Xmas time is NOT the time to take 3 kids shopping, even for a few non-Xmas things! I have learnt my lesson!

I hope everyone is feeling Christmassy now? We went to the panto the other day with some friends and their dcs. It was Peter Pan - v good but my oldest two were terrified by Captain Hook!!! They are not good at coping with even mildly scary things (I often get them getting 'scared' over someone in a CBeebies show getting into trouble) so it was a bit tricky trying to manage that, but they calmed down a bit and the look on ds1's face when Peter Pan flew over the audience was magical!!! They are now begging to go again, of course! We're with the family now in my parents new house (they only moved in a week or so ago!) and excitement has reached fever pitch - Christmas with kids is truly magical...

Hope you all have a wonderful, happy and peaceful Christmas (well, as peaceful as it will ever be with young dc Xmas Grin )

Dh is assembling the pedal airplane from his parents an finishing touches on the kitchen he built for Q and I'm sitting here amongst wrapped presents tracking Santa!

Dh will arrange presents under tree as he likes some sort of organisation and beauty to it. Q is going to be so excited to finally get a doll... With a dummy! Grin so excited I don't think I'll sleep!
Merry Christmas, Everyone! xxxx

Purpleprickles · 24/12/2011 22:49

All ready for Christmas here. We'll have 9 of us here tomorrow, both my family and dh's. I can't wait. Took J to the Christingle at church today which got us in the Christmassy mood. I have to say though I'm exhausted as my parents are staying and I've had my two brothers over today so it feels like non stop food production and clearing up.

Have a great Christmas everyone Smile

CF I was thinking about you the other day and I'm so pleased to hear your happy news Smile

HavePatience · 24/12/2011 23:16

I see so many status updates of kids not going to sleep. Q was excited and called for us a couple of times to which we answered and joined in excitement but then out like a light. He's knackered from all of the excitement!
Dh is cursing calmly assembling the pedal plane sent by his parents. I'd say just leave it but they want video reaction and will Skype tomorrow Grin
His fault for leaving it to the last minute! Honestly! He does work last minute on most things but I don't - too much stress. The doll is wrapped. He will be over the
Moon.

Very happy day here! The look on Q's face when he saw Santa had left him a stocking was absolutely priceless! I love Christmas Smile

Ekka · 25/12/2011 22:46

Happy Christmas everyone! Lovely day here, the dc enjoyed their presents, we had a fantastic lunch (it's the first time since dd was born that I've not been in charge of cooking - bliss!) and we were able to go for a walk after lunch as its so mild here so I've walked off the effects of lunch... I hope you have all had a lovely day too!

HavePatience · 27/12/2011 19:44

Just checking in - csws are you ok? Your fb messages have seemed a bit down of late Sad anything we can do? X

HavePatience · 27/12/2011 19:51

Sorry - and hello Ekka! Glad to hear you ha a lovely Christmas. I can't believe you've been cooking that long! Good on you to get a well deserved break!
Q is loving his babies he got for Christmas and it has put a stop to the incessant requests for a sibling Grin

Tidied away Shock
I'm sitting in the midst of the curvy dinosaur track that I got many months ago for £7 on eBay. It is very, very fun, though!

Just seen your pics csws - if it's not too bold of me to say - you loom like you've lost a lot of weight. Well done! You look great :) cute photos of kids, too Grin

Myjob I need to start ebaying and charity shopping old toys.

HavePatience · 27/12/2011 22:14

*look
You're not looming

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/12/2011 22:14

I'm ok thank you star. Just too long cooped up in the house with the kids and being quite ill. Double whammy of medicines (had to see out of ours doctor on boxing day) seems to be starting to help a little now thank goodness.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/12/2011 22:16

HavePatience · 27/12/2011 22:23

Out of hours obv!

Bank hol because Christmas day fell on a Sunday. We always get 2 EXTRA holidays at Christmas, so the bank hols move if a weekend is involved.

Hope milk supply fine pistachio. Sure it will be by this point with just one dose. I had to take an antihistamine last summer when stung by a wasp (am allergic) and no harm done.
