Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
byronicheroine · 02/11/2011 20:37

Thanks wiggles that's exactly what I wanted/needed to hear
Poor O, get well vibes from us. Love the image of S laid out on the sofa, hand dramatically on forehead, sighing piteously

jane halloween photo is up Grin

debka · 02/11/2011 20:48

byron I agree with wiggs babies eat what they need and it really varies. Imy has always eaten like a tiny weeny bird and seems to exist on fresh air. Sabine however will eat and eat- she eats at least twice as much as her sister, but is a diddy little dot. Weird.

ledkr and others my mum is v flattered about all the comments about her, I've been trying to persuade her to keep her hair short and I think you might have swung it for me! Thanks!

wiggles hope O just needs her sleep tonight and catches up a bit. Hope she's better soon and doesn't infect the rest of you!

jane arse to AF, I had high hopes this month. We lit a candle for Zoe again today :)

reastie HV. Phone call. Nuff said. Grin BTW shocking bad advice from fat fighter, if i ate a banana for breakfast then a cracker and slice of apple as a snack I'd be eating everything off the menu at McDonalds for lunch Grin

Had a right blazer of a row with DH last night, don't know if I said or not, but it turned into a really good thing, we actually talked after having a good old yell and hugged and there was a tear in his manly eye Grin. Had a lovely day today in the wake of it.

Note to all parents of toddlers- do not let them eat 3 kiwis at a time, the results the next day are, lets say, unpleasant Grin

tadjennyp · 02/11/2011 21:14

Gorgeous photos, reastie and byron!

I hope Olivia gets better soon. It's so worrying when they are sick. I can just see Sofia swooning and getting various handsome gentlemen to mop her fevered brow!

Don't worry about K's eating. S hardly ate a thing over the weekend - topped himself up with extra breastfeeds though. Hmm Does anyone else still have the babies in with them? I ought to move him, really...

My dcs wouldn't manage with a cracker and a slice of apple reastie. Shock Have you tried using a slightly smaller plate? Apparently your mind is tricked into thinking it's eating the same amount as it has seen the full plate. Don't do what I do and help the kids eat their halloween candy! Grin

Emski, not sure I could do 3 whole days of work at the moment. Well done you!

Yes wiggles, same old excuse. We think they must be deep cover MI6 agents, otherwise why would OBL be interested in blowing them out of the sky, especially now he's dead? Hmm Wink

MizK · 02/11/2011 21:16

Happy birthday borg and led dh x

byronic i can so sympathise with you. Cass eats mainly petits filous, melon and breadsticks dipped in guacamole or cream cheese. Most other things provoke dramatic retching and batting away of spoons. Don't stress over it, keep wearing him down til he humours you by eating!
wiggles Sorry to hear about your poorly girl, Disney and ice cream tomorrow will help cure her I reckon...
Hello to everyone else. Am just dashing off to watch Top Boy that I sky plussed, there are two bona fide fitties in it (Ashley Walters and Kano, fact fans....) so will be having a good perve, even tho I hear its a bit grim. Will catch up properly tomorrow.

tadjennyp · 02/11/2011 21:17

Sorry, deb, x-posted there. Glad you and dh had a good hug and made up. Hope the kiwi troubles are short-lived!

Grannyapple · 02/11/2011 21:43

Evening all...& happy birthday borg & mrledkr.

Well 2nd day if work done & I am absolutely shattered! As is dh actually...all he has to do is get up 10 mins earlier to feed N while I get ready! But made it out the door on time so far & back in time to give N a quick bit of dinner & bath & bed. The wee soul has settled in really well at nursery & tried to eat my face when I went to collect him!

emski I'm with you on how do people do it working full time?! Plus, realised tonight that this is how life will be from now on in...barely a minute to ourselves! I really enjoyed my mat leave but appreciate it more now I'm back...but hoping we'll have another at some point so hopefully another bit of time off for me!

Work is grand.....& really feels like I haven't been away.

Off to catch up on some kip...night night ladies x.

tadjennyp · 02/11/2011 21:51

Glad you had a fab day and Smile at N eating your face, granny!

janedoe25 · 03/11/2011 08:16

byron Loving your little sumo!

reastie Does the fat fighter lady have ishoos with food? Shock at bannana and one slice of apple! Oh and pick up that phone!

wiggles poor Olivia, hope she is feeling better today?

deb Sometimes a screaming match is needed to clear the air, I'm glad you two are good though. Thank you from me and Zoe x

mizk I wanted to watch that programme but forgot, I will catch up on demand. Was it good?

granny I'm glad you first day went well. Grin at Nate eating your face.

Hi tad, I also think the worst when I see A and E!

Sorry if I missed anyone out, hope you all have a good day. I am braving the soft play today with baby mindee.

reastie · 03/11/2011 09:48

OK ladies, you can stop pestering me now - I've rung the hv. She wasn't in but I left a message for her to call back

jane I just spotted a couple of piccies of the boogie bus on fb - it looks amazing Grin

deb I find I have to get to breaking point and have a massive breakdown to dh for him ever to realise how I really feel and I always feel better afterwards not sure that's helpful or good advice at all though

granny glad everything went well yesterday. I have the opposite with Alice when I leave her with my mum - as soon as I come back she starts moaning and crying like she forgot I wasn't there until I came back Confused

byron just to say how you're not as worried re: eating now and I love the sumo piccie. I get Envy every time I look at your piccies though with those fab slim legs in the pool Envy

wiggles did you/olivia sleep OK?

I forgot to tell you all - I was selected by mn to test out bio oil for them on my csec scar not that I can ever see if from the tummy overhang and tummy stretch marks Grin

Deliaskis · 03/11/2011 10:33

[wails] I haven't been on for days, then typed a massive post and mn lost it...grrrrrr.

I'll try and remember...

reastie well done you for phoning HV finally and you now just have to make sure you don't deny all knowledge 'no really it's fine, it's nothing really, actually don't worry about it everything's fine' when she calls back.

Debka Weirdly happy that you and DH had a huge stonking row productive talk, glad things feel better.

Emski glad return to work has gone well. I was pleasantly surprised by how untraumatic it was.

Granny giggled at your DH being exhausted with your return to work. DH and I had a big row the week before I came back, as he commented that 'I don't see how I can possibly do more than I am doing now', so evidently expecting that my return to work would have no impact at all on him. I fixed that quick!

Grin at N trying to eat your face tho, C has gone from being a very non-cuddly baby to suddenly nose-butting for kisses all the time (would be cute if she didn't always have a snotty nose) and giggling when we kiss her, and clinging on for cuddles, which she never used to do. She does this cute thing when DH is bringing her downstairs in the morning, she looks over her shoulder (down the stairs) and looks a bit worried/doubtful, and turns back to DH and clings on for dear life. I don't know why, we've never dropped her or anything!

wiggles sorry for poorly O, but also Grin at S's drama queen illness persona.

Byronic sorry you also have poorly baby. It's horrid isn't it? We're finally in a period of relatively good health, which I'm sure won't last long!

Borg and MIzK sorry for baby eating woes, but wise advice here re not stressing too much. C is going through a mega hungry phase at the mo, but she defo has her ups and downs and some weeks seems to eat just Muller little stars and breadsticks. My Mum got The Wrong Kind of yoghurts the other day tho and was trying to feed her a whole grown up sized yoghurt. Even C, who adores yog, was looking doubtful.

jane enjoy soft play, you're a brave lady.

C is doing good, and all is fairly peaceful in the Delia house at the mo [looks around nervously].

D

americanexpat · 03/11/2011 11:56

reastie - well done! You were getting tired of us banging on about it, weren't you? Grin Huge eyeroll at the fat fighters lady. A banana is not breakfast, I'd be starving in a half hour if that's all I had. Have you thought about Weight Watchers or SW or something similar? I've been doing WW and am losing really slowly (8.5 lbs in 12 weeks) but I get extra points for bfing and don't feel deprived.

We are off to soft play this afternoon for a Netmums meet. Shock Some over-30's turned up on the FB group so hopefully I won't be the oldest this time.

janedoe25 · 03/11/2011 13:29

american have fun!

My softplay adventure was good, it was quiet well I did go for opening at 10 so we had the place to ourselves! Grin

reastie I am proud of you girl, now remember to tell the hv EVERYTHING!
I will try and put up some of my pics from my hen night onto fb and on here for those who don't have FB.

My footprint cufflinks I ordered for df came this morning, they are fab! If any of you are buying fingerprint jewllery I highly reccommend Pickled Pumpkin, they were fantastic even gave me a discount Grin. Just incase you are wondering why Im on when working, baby is asleep!

Deliaskis · 03/11/2011 13:53

OK, I think I may now have succesfully added a photo. Can someone see if you can see it?

wigglesrock · 03/11/2011 14:05

Just a quick post, trying to get A fed!!! Olivia much better thanks. PS deliaskis I don't think your profile is public, I cant see anything Grin

Deliaskis · 03/11/2011 14:08

OK, think it is now, didn't realise you had to make photos public (to mates) and also profile public. Should work now.

Deliaskis · 03/11/2011 14:09

PS glad Olivia is getting better wiggles

wigglesrock · 03/11/2011 15:51

deliaskis that's a gorgeous picture - look at Cs cheeky grin - she's absolutely beautiful.

jane really happy you're pleased with the cufflinks and that you enjoyed the soft play Grin

americanexpat have fun this afternoon.

reastie so glad you rang the HV, hope you get to talk to her this afternoon xx

Well Olivia, slept through until 3.45am before crying with the pain Sad, but she managed to sleep for another few hours until about 7am whereupon she woke up much better. Still in pain but nowhere near as severe and she finally doesn't look as deathly pale. Also managed to get the antibiotics replaced so all looking good.

But I haven't been paid by work for the past two weeks (annual leave), was supposed to be paid today. Have rang them and called in and no-one knows nothing Hmm. Waiting on boss ringing me, he will rue the day, I tell you rue the day he has fecked me over with money!!!

janedoe25 · 03/11/2011 16:34

wiggles Get him told! Glad to hear Olivia is perking up, is she too ill for ice cream?

delia C is sooo cute, such a gorgeous wee family!

janedoe25 · 03/11/2011 16:45

I have uploaded a couple of pic of me on my hen night, go on judge away!

Deliaskis · 03/11/2011 16:54

LOL jane at your pics, you appear to be in a cage!

wiggles grrrr at your work for not paying you, cheeky feckers.

ledkr · 03/11/2011 16:56

Hello all.Can i be excused from individual remarks but i did read it all.
Had a nice evening if a bit rushed cos the film times changed so had to eat quick Hmm

Got back late after a few wines and of course D decided to put in an appearance. Was a bit hard to settle so i gave her some calpol, she settled about 2 and woke at 7.15 so we are a tad tired today.

She is not napping today so driving me mental. Will fall asleep on me but wakes as soon as i put her down, cant get to do anything its awfull.

D is also not too fussed on food tbh,she will eat realms of cow and gate pasta spinach and cheese dinner but little else. Her lack of napping doesnt help as she is often so tired she starts rubbing her eyes and face and gets dinner everywhere.

Shes been lots of fun tho, screwing up her eye at me and today she nicked my chocolate cake when i left it for 2 mins Grin

Reastie, nobody eats just a banana for breakfast or a slice of apple,is she insane?

janedoe25 · 03/11/2011 16:56

delia I was in a cage on the boogie bus!

byronicheroine · 03/11/2011 18:38

jane consider yourself judged!! (looks like loads of fun tho Wink )

reastie well done on calling the hv, we are all so proud. hope you get the help you need

ledkr funny you should say that, I just got K to actually eat something - 'popeye pasta' (spinach and cheese pasta!) and he wolfed down loads.... weird kids, eh?!

delia lovely pic, what a sweet family

deb thanks for the support, and I always find that a row clears the air and you might even get make up sex

everyone back at work I have slight envy and am looking into part time at my old old job - I wonder if they'll want me back at all/have forgotten me

I did my good deed for the day by offering to take my pregnant friend's 3 year old boy when she goes in to labour. Turns out she was really worried (no family in this country).

wigglesrock · 03/11/2011 19:38

jane Grin at photos, like your top, lovely colour. Olivia has been eating lollies constantly, I don't like ice-cream Shock, so I'm a very bad Mummy and never have it in the house.

ledkr Anna does that with her food too, bits in her eyes, hair, ears. She also likes that meal although she prefers the cod and vegetables - makes me gag at the best of times.

byronicheroine thats a lovely thing to do for your friend.

I am going into work tomorrow to pick up my wages in cash, they did volunteer to bring them to me, but I am going to inflict me and all the girls on them. Told you he would rue the day - he "forgot", I sent an e-mail 2 weeks ago reminding him - I saw this coming. His secretary told me he forgot and I replied "and.." and left a giant pause. I pulled out the stops, working every Sat & Sun until December, told them I don't work for the love of it Blush. They were scared of me before I went on Maternity Leave, think they're dreading Monday now Grin

ILovePonyo · 03/11/2011 20:02

Evening all, I have been at my mums last couple of days - lurking but not posting! Been nice seeing my sis (mum is away) and a very good friend of mine today who is off travelling soon. A has been very cute and smiley, she's another fussy foody but has been eating lots recently (cod and spinach also a hit here wiggles) and draining whole bottles! Shock I'm sure her cheeks are getting chubbier as a result Grin

Great pics everyone esp the sumo byronic and janes hen night - the cage!!

reastie has hv rung back?

wiggles poor O, hope tonight is better for her poor baby - its horrible when they are in pain :(

I have a question - A has a rash which might be nappy rash but its just on her front bottom not her actual bum if that makes sense, its v red and raised and sudocreme isn't helping - should I give it a few more days or docs appt? It looks sore but doesn't seem to be bothering her.

Back to work on Mon soon for lots of us, eek!

Hello everyone else, I have been reading just not posting!
