Hi.
Not been on for a while as sent my laptop off to get fixed.
MrsY, M sounds like a real joy, she clearly has her mothers strength.
Dinky, work sounds just awful! Hope it eases up soon.$
MOS good luck with the knitting, you'll be fine. My favourite part of knitting is casting on.
Idbi glad the girls are doing better. Sorry to hear you've had a tough year but glad it's all getting better.
Thom, completely missed the extended breastfeeding thing. Have been hearing lots of talk about it but haven't read anything myself.

Everything's ok here, same old.

MOSagain · 25/05/2012 15:42

hello all, hope everyone is enjoying the sun (except poor dinky who appears to have been kidnapped by her boss) Sad I hope that your workload and hours reduce soon, you can't carry on like that long term.

SM cool, when I start my next square I'll pop over to you and get you to cast on.

MrsY was so lovely to meet you on wednesday and thanks so much for my personal knitting lesson.

All good here. Just trying to get the garden sorted ready for summer. Its been a bit neglected over the months/years so needs a bit of hard work. Fingers crossed for a lovely weekend so we can be out in the garden.

oooggs · 26/05/2012 07:05

I am decorating Lukes bedroom in preparation for the new single bed arriving on 16th June! He is currently sleeping on the single mattress on our bedroom floor. He looks so small on it compared to the cotbed one!

Lovely weather, makes life so much easier with school runs, washing, wearing the children out etc... Hope it lasts as we are off further into Cornwall with the caravan at half term.

Mos - bet the pool is coming into its own in this heat!

SilveryMoon · 27/05/2012 12:37

Hi ladies.
Bit hot, hey?
I don't really enjoy this weather, but won't moan!

Just tried to log on to our fb page as wanted to double check on someone's nn and it seems I'm not on there anymore! Who deleted me? And can someone invite me back please?

MOSagain · 27/05/2012 13:53

ooh, will have a look SM, not sure how to invite anyone though but I'll try.

Am loving the weather, all out in the garden, fabulous

SilveryMoon · 27/05/2012 14:11

It's a private group, so we wouldn't be able to see it if we weren't members

swampster · 27/05/2012 22:57

When Facebook 'upgraded' their groups they deleted all that were inactive. They gave you the option to remain a member at the time but it was opt-in. I think I can reinvite anyone who wants in but it is a bit of a pretty empty place. @@@@@tumbleweed@@@@@

swampster · 27/05/2012 23:09

OK, I have reinvited you, MOS and you, SM, and everyone else who popped up easily when I went through my friends list. I'm sure I've missed out a fair few so I've made you to admins so you can play too.

swampster · 27/05/2012 23:45

FB Group is up to 35 members - I think there were about 40 at its height. I think I have invited everyone I can, the lovely onwardandupward deserted us ages ago and a couple of members I invited have unfriended me since Hmm and I can only invite friends.

MOSagain · 28/05/2012 08:02

Shock at someone unfriending Swampy!

swampster · 28/05/2012 09:29
Grin
dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 28/05/2012 10:05

They were probably getting freaked out by your monster breads Swampy!

Still here - still stuck at work all hours. Getting vvvvvvvvv bored of it now as are DH and DS1 and Danny. Ho hum. On plus side, Danny's potty training is coming on in leaps and bounds..

MOSagain · 28/05/2012 10:44

LOL at dinky, I can understand that. As someone who has been recently told to cut down on carbs and try to cut out white bread, those pictures do feel like rubbing my nose in it! Wink

ooogs yes, finally got to use it for the first time at the weekend but apparently it will be back to normal/shite weather tomorrow Sad

swampster · 28/05/2012 15:12

My unfriending looooong predates the Monster. It was probably one of my previous obsessions, like washable nappies wot dunit.

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 30/05/2012 15:37

Hurrah - evil deal from hell now signed! My life is mine once more. Hope everyone is good out there and enjoying the sun while it lasts.

Swampy - remember to post your book on at end of this week for the clun. Look at clun thread for instructions as you have a new postee.

swampster · 30/05/2012 18:23

I think you'll find you mean 'books', dinky. Blush

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 31/05/2012 10:18

Trying to start a book stall Swampy Wink? Better post them on this time so you dont drown under the clun books...

SilveryMoon · 06/06/2012 17:20

Hi everyone. How are we all?
Everything fine here, just fed up of being so skint.
Dp's back at work today after 5 days off and I am very relieved. Drives me insane when he is here, I realise just how much I do and how unhappy I really am.
Oh well.

Got my confirmation letter about my job today so finally know what the salary is, better than I thought it'd be, so quite happy with that!

Anyway, just wanted to pop on and say hi Grin

MrsY · 08/06/2012 17:03

Hi all.

Keep going to the 2011 thread - how rude of them to pretend to be fab.

Sorry to hear you're not enjoying DP's time, SM. That sucks. Glad your salary is better than you thought, by far the best way to be!

SilveryMoon · 08/06/2012 17:10

MrsY he just gets in the way, he's always where I need to be and he winds the kids up.
He spends so little time with us that he doesn't know how I deal with them, what behaviours I ignore etc and how they expect to be responded to when I'm there, if that makes sense.
How are you?

MOSagain · 08/06/2012 17:30

SM you do realise you are describing most men don't you? Wink I think that is why so many women become lesbians!
Good news about your job though. I've just applied for a rather unusual job, still in the legal profession but for a council. Watch this space. Was a bit miffed to get rejected for a job recently having got through the first 3 hoops of their long recruitment process and am 99% its because I lived in the ME Sad

MrsY yes, bloody rude of them, I was just tempted to pop over and tell them to get minds of their own.

dinky if you are unchained from your desk do you fancy starting up that new thread we talked about a little while ago?

supposed to be going to a wedding reception in an hour or so up London way. Could REALLY do without M25 on a Friday evening. Apparently there is a 2 1/2 hour delay between one junction. Deep joy!

On the brightside, DC1 back from Uni tomorrow. DH due to be leaving to drive down to get him at around 6am whilst I stay at home with G & H. To be honest, I think I'd prefer doing the driving Grin

Hope everyone is doing ok.

MrsY · 08/06/2012 21:01

That sucks MOS, god luck with the other one, sounds intreging - sorry, that's totally not how to spell that. How lovely to have your eldest back tomorrow - everyone under one roof!

J has just got home and is feeling as rough as I am, so tonight is going to be interesting...

Meant o say, hurrah dinky on having your life back. Exciting news!

SM, luckily, J and I are usually on the same page in terms of what to respind to or ignore, but he wants to spend his time off either relaxing (which means watching films and playing xbox) or tidying up, so we don't ever do anything as a family which I find so frustrating.

Calico1 · 10/06/2012 20:39

MrsY my DH thinks that weekends are for doing chores rather than family time - usually it means that I take the kids out for the day whilst he does some DIY or pithers around in the garden. He can't see why I would like all of us to go out for a day - together! Apparently I can't complain because he is fixing stuff Confused

SM good news about your salary

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 12/06/2012 17:10

Hello all - was away for half term in Mallorca and have returned to a v cold and rainy UK. Hope you enjoyed the long bank holiday despite the horrid weather. Soudns good news on the salary front SM - must have been a lovely surprise. Mrsy - hope you and J are now fully recovered from the lurgy.

So new thread titles... "Fab Feb 2009 - come rain, wind or shine, we're here for each other with copious amounts of wine"?

SilveryMoon · 13/06/2012 19:19

Like the new thread title. Fab as always Grin
