Emski76 · 20/05/2011 15:29

Reastie, that tot is gorgeous! Do you make and sell them?
Ledkr, a 12 hour stretch, brilliant! Let's hope it lasts for you
Expat, we had a few snapfish photo books printed, theyre really good.

My day is not going brilliantly, this too shall pass, this too shall pass........

Emski76 · 20/05/2011 15:34

Gosh, I haven't read the thread but must have x posted. Am always shocked by the comments of some people on here. Sorry Jane that some people are so vile

wigglesrock · 20/05/2011 15:47

Led have you heard back from MN yet - I did and have sent them a really arsey e-mail.

Emski not having the worlds best day here either, Anna hasn't slept all day and Olivia has been shall we say "challenging", "No I won't" being her phrase of the day

reastie · 20/05/2011 16:05

americanexpat I've used snapfish - used to think they were fab but then got dodgy colouring on prints - wiggles have you got a photographic memory for these facts? Hmm. Have used another site since but forget the name of where I go Blush. If I remember I will tell you. We did get a wedding photobook made from snapfish though last year before the dodgy snap and thought it was pretty good

I'm not sure if I want to visit this disturbing thread you speak of - I'm sure it'll make me upset and angry. jane poor you - you keep zoes piccie on your profile with pride, she is a beautiful beautiful baby xx

ledkr you had a post deleted? Shock

Thanks for the nice comments re: little dog I made. If I had time to sit down to do it I think I could've done it in an afternoon but been doing it bit by bit as keep getting interupted. Got the idea from a cath kidston sewing projects book i got for chrimbo, but, as always, never one to follow instructions so sort of made up how to make it (best way Wink ). I don't sell them ems - you're very sweet to say that Blush. Also made myself a nice little bag from the book too by dusting off the old sewing machine Grin

ems tonight WILL be better and this will pass

wiggles - don't leave us!

ElleB1980 · 20/05/2011 16:19

Jane People are stupid and say stupid things. Especially when they can hide behind anonymity. Please hide the thread and remember your gorgeous daughter in whatever way you choose. And if anyone has a problem with it I reckon ledkr and wiggles combined will soon see them off!

Emski it will pass. It honestly will. Think back to when you were pregnant and desperate to meet your LO. Time really stood still for me then but now it feels like forever ago. It's challenging this parenting eh?

Bought an Anabelle thingy job weaning book this afternoon. That should keep me quiet for a while. Still need to find more baby groups though...I did the ironing this morning I was so bored!

wobblybumm · 20/05/2011 16:24

Goodness, lots of posts to catch up on!
4 month sleep regression, what!!! It can get worse than this!!! His lordship woke at 12, 130, 410, 5, 6, then 730. Idiot. It always when my husband is on nights, and I don't think he believes me when I am a gibbering mess in the morning when he comes back!
debka you are very good to take part in that study, it's really important for people to take part in things like that, I am just too lazy busy at the moment.
I am not surprised at the weaning thing, where we live folk get weaned on greggs pasties at about 10 weeks. I am going to string it out for as long as poss, like reastie i sort of like that he just drinks milk. I also like his fragrant poos and don't want the stinky ones. reastie your wee dog is lovely but your baby is just beautiful! Am off to nosy at your thread, and buy the shred on ledkrs suggestion, hopefully will be able to change my name to sexytonedbum in 30 days then......

ledkr · 20/05/2011 16:27

Im stil in negotiations with the thread, wiggles you've been told off by someone too! I reported it and said i couldnt understand why my posts were deleted,i think i asked the poster of the vile post to return to explain herself and i really cant remember the other,i think i siggested she might be a tad thick Hmm Mumsnet is afunny place, you can sya shit like that but woe betide you if you suggest someone should work rather than sponge live forever on benefits or mention you'd like a child parking space you'll be incinerated.
emski i cant link but look on "ask moxey" sites and they have some usefull advice,i felt better when i understood D more.

wobblybumm · 20/05/2011 16:30

Forgot to say jane so sorry about that thread, i saw it yesterday but didn't realise about your circumstances. I have not been on MN long but have already seen some vile posts which have really shocked me. Hope you can ignore these horrible ignorant people, your daughter is beautiful and anyone would be proud to have such a gorgeous girl on their profile.

wigglesrock · 20/05/2011 16:30

I know Ledkr, it never occurred to me not to mention Zoes name, I always call her by it. I have contacted Jane to apologise and I apologise to anyone else who felt it was out of turn.

Going to step back for a bit, maybe not as thick skinned as I thought Smile

wobblybumm · 20/05/2011 16:48

reastie i am not brave enough yet to post on any other threads apart from this one yet, also I could only concentrate enough to read the first page. Firstly very impressed by your 38Is, my DH is ridiculously excited by my new E cups and pervs on me when I'm in the shower so I won't tell him about yours Smile. I do vest and another top which I thought I had invented as everyone I know has bought special BF tops but apparently everyone on MN does this anyway, I also have some tunic/dress tops from vertbaudet about £20 I think good for covering flattering my figure. I never noticed ANYONE BF at all until I did it, likewise I never noticed pregnant women and ignored babies until I got pregnant. I sometimes use a scarf if going to the pub with my in laws as they are a bit weird about me feeding in front of them and usually banish me to a different room if I go to theirs, but they have walked on me feeding a few times and carried on talking to me as they clearly have not noticed that I'm feeding! I do find feeding embarrassing as Nate gulps/chokes, gets sprayed in the face, pulls off and smiles at people, does his old man chuckle, wriggles about, punches my boob etc etc etc.

reastie · 20/05/2011 16:54

wobblybum would be more exciting if there wasn't such a flabby tummy and stretch marks surrounding it Wink . yes - it's the milk spraying that is the most embarassing - never knew that actually happened before I bf Blush

Have been stupid brave a put a couple of pictures of me on my profile just for you ladies to see. Seems like we've been here a year now you may as well put a picture to the face. Anyone else feeling brave I'd be very excited to see what you all really look like behind your anonymus nns (ps - get out clause - I may get chicken and take them down!)

ledkr · 20/05/2011 17:28

was going to say theres nothing wrong with weaning on greggs just as long as its washed down with a fruit shoot Grin

debka · 20/05/2011 18:01

reastie looked quick before you whipped those photos off- you look lovely :) and so does your DH, what a lovely family. I bet you shred those few pounds off in no time :)

OP posts:
Emski76 · 20/05/2011 18:24

Aw Reastie, your gorgeous and smiley! Really lovely to put a face to a name! I may be brave and post a piccie of mr, just have to find one without bags under my eyes!
Meant to say welcome to Wobblybum too!
I will be looking for the Shred DVD too, sounds fab!
Have bought myself some treats to eat tomorrow when the boys are out, I honestly cannot wait!
Dh has bought me a kindle, he says I deserve it! See, he does love and appreciate me! Can't wait for it to arrive!

ledkr · 20/05/2011 18:56

I am having a glass of wine whilst watching D float around in the bath in her bean bag bath seat. I have been chastised by mn but its ok to leave the vile post up apparently due to freedome of speech!!!!
reastie you dont look fat love, you look gorgous now f off and stop fishing for compliments Grin
Ella has had a mate to play so i needed the wine.

ledkr · 20/05/2011 18:57

emski he probably wants you to have something to read whilst you are up all night with the cling on Grin

Emski76 · 20/05/2011 19:10

Ledkr, I think your right! That way he can say I have company and he can stay asleep!!!

byronicheroine · 20/05/2011 19:33

So sorry jane and thanks to the ladies who said something. Fab Feb ladies shout loudest!
Elle your post made me laugh, I have a Huge Baby too and have just bought that book! Also in the market for baby groups, it's time I was a little sociable.
Had fun with the father and his current wife, we did touristy things that you never do in 'your' town, which was nice. Also climbed a hill (baby in sling on dad!) and when we looked back at the jumble of houses dad had put out coloured blankets on our roof so we could see ours! I'm sad and get excited by things such as this. Talking of father with a sling, I'm sure lots of people thought he was The Dad (bleugh) and he got lots of admiring looks. He is 6'4" with long black(ish!) hair and stands out from the general Greek crowd where men don't have much to do with the childcare (until the boys are 16 and get taken to prostitutes....). Anyway... one old man came up while we were eating lunch, congratulated dad, patted his shoulder, told him only mothers were important until age 16, and then KISSED him on the head! Dad was not impressed but sitting down so couldn't do anything. I laughed like a drain!
Thank god it is Friday, enjoy.

reastie · 20/05/2011 20:13

no more nice comments allowed about my piccies please Blush but anyone else wanting to stick one of themselves on is most welcome for me to nose at Wink

I think I'd better check out this AIBU thread later Hmm

WanderingSheep · 20/05/2011 20:31

Hi everyone!

I haven't had chance to catch up as there are so many posts.

Jane I'm so sorry that you had to see that thread Sad. it should be deleted! We have all been honoured to see the picture of your precious, perfect girl, please don't let that thread upset you.

ledkr · 20/05/2011 20:40

i wouldnt bother Reastie,i cant be arsed, there are some pretty insensitive people out there, one can only assume they are lucky enough to have never had anything horrible happen to them, gosh its hard not wish a bit of bad luck isnt it. I felt scared to look at Zoe at first but im glad i did cos she looks like D but if id have found it too hard id not have looked again not been angry with Jane Shock Hubbards been over for a go but im leaving it now you cant educate morons.
Poor D screamed and screamed at bedtime, she wanted her bottle but had a few sucks then screamed she seems to suffer with wind a lot i dont know if its her meds,i am feeling terrible tho cos at first i was a bit frustrated and got a bit Angry plonked her on the bed for a bit saying fgs etc, then i realised she was genuinly in pain, feel all guilty now Sad

ILovePonyo · 20/05/2011 20:41

Sorry reastie but gorgeous photos, you are so pretty and love the family snap too :) Congrats on DOTD, now you have to keep up with it!

I can't believe that bloody AIBU thread, read a bit but not the whole thing, good god there are some ignorant losers on mn. And saying "the thread title tells you what the content is so don't read it if you don't want to" is an excuse as far as I'm concerned. (Well done ledkr and wiggles)
For what its worth jane I felt really priviliged to see your pics of Z, and honoured that you wanted to share them with us. As long as you're happy to have them on your profile leave them up there, she's your beautiful girl and one of our Feb babies xx

byroni Shock at the prostitutes, and Grin at your dad getting a kiss on the head! I thought the coloured blankets on the roof sounded lovely, very thoughful :)

I ordered my shred dvd today and if I ever get a nice pic of myself I will put it up Hmm I'm lucky dd hasn't inherited my un-photogenic gene.

Don't know about anyone else but I;ve noticed I'm malting a lot more - loads of hair fell out when I washed my hair today Confused - not happened all though pregnancy and now I'm malting all over the place, boo.

Hope everone is ok and heres hoping for good sleep

WanderingSheep · 20/05/2011 20:42

Boo Reastie, I can't see your pics! Sad I think there must be a fault with MN pics on my phone as some other pics weren't working either. I'll put some up of DD2 one day but I can't upload them from my iPhone.

ILovePonyo · 20/05/2011 20:47

ledkr try not to feel guilty, we've all done it (i hope!) I meant to say earlier, hope you're feeling ok about the op and good luck when it comes around. It must be horrible to have to think about taking Dilly for it, I feel upset even thinking about something painful happening to dd and theres no reason for me to think like that Blush Its just the thought of them not understanding why and you knowing its for the best doesn't makei it any easier.

Bit waffly sorry but hope that makes sense :)

debka · 20/05/2011 20:55

ponyo I am finally moulting too. I've been looking forward to it as I have a ridiculous amount of hair!

emski glad to hear you'll get some time to yourself tomorrow, hope you can make the most of it, not run round like a mad thing cleaning and baking like I do stupid woman

ledkr I know the feeling, today I put S down to sleep and she cried and cried so got her up, calmed her down, put her back in her cot, more crying. I was so cross with her, I wanted a sit down, so I just sat down and fed her to get her to sleep- she had a proper good feed, poor mite was hungry Blush, I felt terrible.
