ok well.....she slept 7-7???? wtf? I am not in any way pleased cos i think it might be a temporary lull! I was so tired and when i woke it was 7 i was shocked.
ponyo i just did everything the same as i always do,she was literally falling asleep in the bath.I am still sticking to the routine whatever happens.
hubbard you need to brush off your directional skills and tell dh to pull his lazy finger out,and dh does that too, gets all into a liverpool game when its MY team, can you imagine me glued to an Arsenal game while he rushes around?reastieyes i lost a blanket and then re bought it at the Cheltenham Baby show which was very civilised more freebies and cheaper to get in Hmm For the record i havent weaned D she just has a bit of pear or rice occasionally to help the crushed tablet down.I am seeing the cleft team today so ill ask their advice.
wiggles Yeah get him a cup of tea hes a good bloke mostly* Me and dh have had a little heart to heart,i told him i was moody but he is annoying too,he aggreed haha.To be honest my weight is getting me down which brings me to the thread.
I am loving it,i felt so energised yesterday and i swear i got on some jeans that didnt fit last week, still tight but on. Its quite a challenge but its for such a short time i can just push it and the feeling as it ends is immense.
Oh well D is awake after her 30 min nap Shock grr good job she is cute.

ledkr · 20/05/2011 09:52

Wey hey i was right!!!
Tbh the longer you leave it the better, its such a hassle taking out food and spoon etc and if you do blw nobody wants you to visit, even with your plastic sheets and trip trap!!
Hi Jane.

Emski76 · 20/05/2011 09:55

Hi all, I'd imagine weaning starts around 15 weeks cos by then were so desperate for sleep we'll try anything! I weaned Ben at 19 weeks cos he was such a little piggy. He took to it really well, we just stuck to baby rice for a few weeks before moving onto fruit etc.
Last night wasn't too bad. Noah woke hungry at 9pm so dh fed him then insisted on changing his sleep suit cos it was a bit wet, so Noah woke up fully. We argued about how we can stretch out his evening feeds as he feeds at 5.30ish then 7.30ish before bed and never takes much so wakes hungry a little later. I walked out and went back to bed and turned off the monitor. Woke an hour later and dh was still up there banging around! Had to o up and sort it out! So leaving dh to sort Noah didn't quite work! Bloody men are useless!
Hope your all ok, best go, Noah crying in cot again!

hubbard86 · 20/05/2011 10:00

this morning was a little better though. I am sitting minus both my babies as dh has decided to take them both into town for a while. I'm a little lost watching jezza and drinking tea while surrounded by child debris really should move my bum and shower then clean but really can't be bothered. He's not that bad all the time ledkr i just really think he doesn't put his brain into gear all the time. Since he got made redundant his confidance has taken a knock and he doesn't always know where he stands and what to do.

debka · 20/05/2011 10:00

Agree with ledkr it's a pain, weaning, leave it as long as pos! And BLW too, only just getting my friends back from losing them all over Imy doing BLW, will have to give them all up again in 3 months! Grin

Actually, I didn't find BLW that messy, but I am a dirty cow fairly relaxed Grin

emski hope you get a rest today x

wigglesrock · 20/05/2011 10:29

Well I made tea but he seems to have made an amazing recovery, think he may have suddenly felt better when he got a look after complaining that he felt a little queasy, afraid no-one's going to beat me in a competitive vomiting competition if you know what mean, nine months of constant vomiting has made me immune to feeling pity for hangovers Grin

hubbard86 Glad you have some time for yourself,

Emski Sorry all didn't go to plan.

Jane I have my membership card for the Stalkers Association at the ready with Debka, didn't mean to hound you Grin

Am heading round to my mums this evening to meet my cousins girlfriend. He's in Australia (Ledkr He's my aunts middle child from the Cancer thread), he's 26 now Shock and is bringing his girlfriend over for a couple of weeks to meet the family (if she's any sense she should be necking the vodka from about now) Now what can I wear to meet a 24 year old, half Australian, half Italian flight attendant - ha will it matter, should I just go for the sack cloth Grin

reastie · 20/05/2011 10:52

can I just share with you a question I poster earlier on feeding board has become mn discussion of the day [proud] Grin . It's so funny how I'm so easily excited

uh - oh - massive alice poo alert - gtg Confused

wigglesrock · 20/05/2011 11:29

reastie saw that thread, didn't recognise the name, still having slowangels issues Grin One of the mums at Sofia's gymnastics class has one, she uses it all the time, her baby is 6 months old now and she thinks it been a life saver, ps she has lovely clothes Grin.

40Weeks · 20/05/2011 11:32

Glad I won't get shredded alone then! Thanks for the tip ledk if I am not 20lb lighter by 19june I will hunt you down.

Hitting a redner - I love it wiggles my dad is from Belfast so will run that by him.... My mum is from Dublin, so her version is "I'm scarleh for yeh"

We are going to centre Parcs on Monday! Woo hoo, cant wait. Have just bought a suck it all in cossie from M&S so now I could get mistaken for Lisa Snowdon Wink

Good work reastie

wiggles good luck with the clothes dilemma, I bet she is minging and got the rough end of the gene pool - am thinking hairy hairy and a beer belly Wink

Am not now talking to ledkr as just realized Dilly did a 12 hour stretch and she isn't even pleased!

ElleB1980 · 20/05/2011 11:36

reastie Fame at last! Will pop over and have a read of your fame-making thread.

Emski I guess you now know that it's not only you that Noah won't sleep for! Maybe you just have to keep chanting the Mumsnet mantra - 'this too shall pass'.

wiggles Maybe you could just neck the voddy too then you won't care what you're wearing! Sounds like fun though, I'm dying for a night out. Was trying to get mum down to babysit tonight but she can't get down quickly enough after work. She's offered to come tomorrow instead but it's not quite the same - tomorrow we'd have to go for lunch, whereas tonight a friend has a gig. Not sure which of us will go now, may have to play 'baby left or baby right which is how we make all major decisions. :)

Have sacked off the baby show and will go into town later. Was going to buy a baby weaning book or two. Not planning on starting yet but I don't imagine my bifter baby will wait until 6 months...

reastie · 20/05/2011 11:40

tbh didn't think so many people would reply to my quite dull question - it's hard keeping up Wink

HAve just finished clearing the poo emergency . Had just got alice dressed all nicely with new vest, one of my old baby dresses etc as my parents are coming home from hol so thought I'd get alice all dressed up since they haven't seen her for a while. I'd accounted for posseting by sticking a bib on her but didn't account for big poo alert. She's now in a babygro sucking her thumb to sleep :) wiggles no way would mr w be able to cope with that exposion with a hangover Wink

wiggles I'd give my fits all advice of jeans and nice top, or, maybe you, mr w, olivia, sophia and anna should all go wearing exactly the same mathcing outfits to see what her face looks like wondering what family she's getting herself involved with Wink

reastie · 20/05/2011 13:01

just put piccie up on pofile of a tiny toy i just finished sewing for alice if anyone interested :)

americanexpat · 20/05/2011 13:06

We knew you before you were famous, reastie!

L seems to be back to his normal sleeping pattern but he woke at flipping 6.30 this morning. Shock I put him in his swing at 8 and we slept until 10.45. He's scratched the hell out of his head, it looks like the cats had a go at him but I watch him do it with his fingernails. I think I'll have to keep a hat on him if we go out in public.

Has anyone had a photobook printed from Snapfish? Wondering about the quality, etc.

wigglesrock · 20/05/2011 13:53

americanexpat haven't got photobook from Snapfish but do get photos, enlargements, other bits and pieces from them, I really like them but I think reastie had a bad experience with them.

Anna is terrible for scratching her head and ears, its really bad looking, mil keeps having a little look at her nails when she thinks I'm not looking Shock

reastie lovely toy, really sweet

40Weeks thanks for the reassurance but I think she's one of those bloody good looking Italians Grin

debka · 20/05/2011 14:31

reastie well done, I keep trying for Discussion of the Day but all I ever get onto is Unanswered Messages Grin. BTW I LOVE the toy dog, did it take you long? Can you show me how?

janedoe25 · 20/05/2011 14:33

Oh my god, i have just read a thread in AIBU about someone with a photo of a (stillborn) baby as a FB profile pic. I am shaking and sobbing with anger, some of these people just have no idea, words fail me!

janedoe25 · 20/05/2011 14:36

If me having Zoe's picture on my MN profile offends anyone please let me know, as i would hate anyone to be offended by her.

ledkr · 20/05/2011 14:46

sympathy here wiggles when i go to Essex im surounded by size 10 orange relatives who seem to look at me in disgust I would recommend black jeans, nice tunic top and boots,if she's that fit your wasteing your time anyway, just talk a lot about being unable to fit back into your pre pg size 10 clothes.
Well done reastie i too scored a proud mn first today I HAD A POST DELETED [GRIN] i cant even remember what i said but she deserved it. I will have a peep at yours now.
emski cant work out if things are better or not, hope they are.
Well Dilly is fine, her op will be between july-sept he made it sound a synch but my head is starting to stir in the sand and i just cannot imagine her having to go thru anything else but i need to keep positive as he said they are normally feeling fairly ok after afew hrs and home the next day.
I took her to Asda cos its in the town of the Hospital,Asda, the home of the 30000 disabled spaces and 10 p and c ones,i could have done with one too as had no pram and those car seats are soooo heavy. She decided she wasnt partial to Asda and had a reflux attack from sitting in the car seat,i spent a vile half hr pushing a wonky trolley and holding her in the other arm crying loudly whist people stared. I just got the esentials, wine, curry and chocolate Grin
I used the sling to walk from to the hospital and everyone was cooing and clucking over her and in the clinic you see a room full of people Consultants,Nurses,Dentist, hearing specialists speech therapists, about 15 people Dilly was beaming at them all it was so funny, loves an audience.

ledkr · 20/05/2011 14:49

*jane i didnt want to say what thread i was deleted from cos i didnt want you to see it. Suffice to say i put her in her f'ing place and mumsnet are out of order deleteing out threads and not hers. debka · 20/05/2011 15:03

jane I didn't see that thread but I love that you have your Zoe on your profile, she is your baby as much as anyone's.

OP posts:
janedoe25 · 20/05/2011 15:14

Thank you ladies, it's just horrible what some people are writing That bacchus person in particular, i too reported her post. I was going to comment on the thread but decided against it. I seen your posts ledkr, must have just missed the deleted ones.

wigglesrock · 20/05/2011 15:16

ledkr I'd seen it before that particular post and was disgusted at that point, actually felt sick, saw "that post" , all I could think of was our beautiful and much missed February girl, had a cry, reported it a while ago but no movement as yet. Have noticed a few things been let stand on MN that have really offended me and a few others that have been deleted that I think should have been left [shrug]. Really pissed me off last week, if it wasn't for our thread not sure if I'd hang about.
