janedoe25 · 09/05/2011 07:47

ponyo will have to wait around 6 weeks, but we are going to wait until at least July before ttc. May and June would be too close to Zoe's birthday for us and i don't want to be huge for my wedding!

You are not a bad mum, you are fab and your DD knows this!

WanderingSheep · 09/05/2011 07:48

Meant to add - they will check that your uterus has gone back down to its original size at your pn check.

slowangels1 · 09/05/2011 08:20

wandering they didn't check my uterus had gone back to size at my pn apt Hmm. I was suprised they didn't look at my csec scar too as I had had an infection Confused. Mine was just 'how are you feeling in yourself?', me asking to sort out my repeat prescriptions and a couple of previous issues and that was it I think. Worth going though jane I think.

wiggles a photo side on for me is a massive no no - just shows off my triple double chin. lol at people making sure they have a decent piccie for a wanted missing poster Grin

wandering another been up since 5 person here - alice has decided for some reason that 5 is now her breakfast time (yawn)

ponyo Confused to not swaddling. We still swaddle at night but only half swaddle now (from chest down)

Hoping to take a trip to bluewater with alice today if I can be bothered to get a shower/get changed Hmm :)

WanderingSheep · 09/05/2011 08:21

Ponyo you're not the first mother to do that re your DD's nappy. Smile I've done it before. Sometimes, oddly, they just don't smell Confused.

WanderingSheep · 09/05/2011 08:28

Did the MW check angels? I thought that they checked everything to make sure that it was returning back to normal or how it should be? Confused

ILovePonyo · 09/05/2011 08:31

Thanks wandering :) And it didn't smell, weird!

angels when you say from the chest down do you still swaddle her arms? I'm going to turn into some sort of swaddling obsessive Confused Enjoy your shopping :)

Thanks jane Fair enough re: ttc, hope the 6 weeks til results go nice and quick. Do you have anymore wedding news for us?! Any dresses you've seen etc Grin

Going to try and have aquick shower while dd is asleep, though like you angels I can't really be bothered...

ledkr · 09/05/2011 08:31

Jane it must be torture waiting,i remember when i mc-not comparing btw=i was deperate to get pg again but just couldny for years it was soooo frustrating, made Ella more special tho.Get your check tho just in case,I was meant to go for a smear today but Ella isnt well so will have to cancel=what a shame Grin
Ponyo was she in bag? I have no idea if D slept better for the bag or if it was coincidence. She woke at 6 today i think its the light even tho i got black out blinds the light seeps in,me and dh are going to use some black towels tonight, the things we do for an extra hour haha.
I feel a bit better for a few pounds off but i am also really fed up with my fat body,it doesnt help that the gym seeemd to have triggered my headche which has only just gone,im scared to go again and my scar was hurting s bit yesterday.

ILovePonyo · 09/05/2011 09:27

Ah meant to ask you ledkr - is D in her bag in her moses basket? B'cos dd has a bag but it seems too long to put her in it and then put in moses basket if you know what I mean? Like theres not enough room.

Shame about your headache and the gym - I do mean that! - I was well impressed with you going as I hate the gym, well done on the weight loss :)

janedoe25 · 09/05/2011 09:38

No wedding news, must pull the finger out and get some things organised! I haven't been looking at dresses as i might be pregnant so not sure what style to go for.....................
God im so bored today but can't find the motivation to do anything Blush.

ledkr I hope Ella feels better soon, my baby sister (she is 9) has the chicken pox. Poor soul is covered in spots.

ledkr · 09/05/2011 10:12

Ponyo-D seems ok in her bag with plenty of room. You may have posh gro bags but i have primani and disney store ones and they are not much longer than her tbh.

debka · 09/05/2011 10:23

jane my SiL was 5mo pg for her wedding. She chose an empire line dress which when she was 4mo looked fine and non-pg, but just a month later she did look a bit pg but none of us said (scared!). She didn't want to look pg because she hadn't told the vicar and I think she worried that the vicar wouldn't marry them!! Said vicar is doing her son's christening in the summer....Hmm

Re PN checks, mine was all about contraception, no uterus check, no PND check. Twas a bit rubbish TBH.

Yes well done ledkr on losing weight. I ate less yesterday (too bloody stressed!) and was surprised when my jeans were still tight this morning. Yes, debka, it takes longer than ONE DAY of eating slightly less!!

My Mum's taken DD1 out to toddlers today, thank the Lord for that. My house has been invaded by ants [yuk] so I will do some cleaning to try and eradicate the little bastards. That's if I ever get off MN.....

ElleB1980 · 09/05/2011 11:22

Morning all,

Another decent night here - lazy monkey didn't wake up til almost 8. I definitely feel for you guys who don't have the luxury of sleep though.

Just back from checking out a nursery for R. It was fine, although I don't think anywhere will be perfect if you know what I mean.

Off to have lunch with PIL as it's FIL's birthday. Will have to keep away from the cake. Well done ledkr on losing a few pounds. I really hope I manage to get a few off although it's my time of the month so I'm bloated and I had some Malteasers last night...

ILovePonyo · 09/05/2011 11:29

Grin mines from H&M ledkr, they must do long ones!

Haha deb I think like that too - "I've done some exercise/not eaten much, why don't I look thinner" Hmm Good luck with the cleaning, I've done bugger all today except mn and feed dd. Oh I had a shower too :)

jane you've got aaaages to organise wedding you'll be fine Wink Hope you find your motivation, mine will probably be hiding with yours Grin

ledkr · 09/05/2011 11:46

Ponyo dont you think everything is abit weird in h and m all abit mishapen or mis sized.I had to have a size 18 in their mat jeans and i was only early pg,there is no way i was an 18,im a baggy 16 now!
I always want quick results for little effort with weight.I just forced myself to eat bannana instead of a biscuit for my coffee break.I needed a break from sitting on my arse mn and teaching poorly Els to sew.D went to sleep and i though "oh ill have a coffee" whats that all about? I wanted to do my Davina but D is sleeping in the big room and there is lego all over the floor. The dishwasher needs emptying but its a noisy job and may wake D,ive got 2 pieces of fish from the freezer too, gosh im really tired now Shock
I am suprised how much my confidence has been knocked by my weight gain,im normally very confident. Do you think we have gone past the time where we are going back to normal after pg?IYSWIM.

debka · 09/05/2011 11:48

Right, house cleaned (it's only small and I didn't do the bedrooms!), bastard ants eradicated (I wish), baby in bed. Again.

Does anyone else's LO do the thing where they wake up but actually they're still tired and they'll fall asleep feeding or just cry? S does it LOADS. Today she woke after 45mins but was trying to suck her thumb which says to me she's still tired. Left her crying whilst I vacuumed but DH got her up Shock. Lay her down to doublebase her (BTW for whoever asked aaaages ago, doublebase is an emollient, a bit like E45, but DD1 was virulently allergic to E45 so I don't use it), she immediately started trying to suck her thumb again! So I finished creaming her, put on her babygrow and put her back in bed where (I think) she's gone back off. Really hope she sleeps well then wakes up HUNGRY for her next feed.

BTW anyone think it ironic that the fattest mum on here who is making no attempt to lose weight has the skinniest mini of a baby?? Can't post photos, you'd all laugh at how silly we look together! Grin

byronicheroine · 09/05/2011 12:05

Hi all, baby is sleeping in his swing and I have time to write a message (should be thinking about dinner or something but anyway :) )
We had some funny green poos yesterday - why is no-one else as interested in our babies' 'productions' as we are? I, for one, am fascinated!
Apparently green poos are too much 'fore' milk, but nothing to worry about in itself.
We tried to introduce a bottle today - didn't go so well, has anyone got any tips? I suppose I might have left it a bit late... he's 3 months now. I hope not, and will try again later with a different teat, I used tommee tippee ones this time, but, compared to my nipple Blush they seem huge and so no wonder K just batted it away and screamed waited patiently for me Grin

wigglesrock · 09/05/2011 13:01

Byronicheroine I know nobody seems as interested in Annas' poos as me!! Ponyo - sometimes poo doesn't smell at all, if Anna wasn't grunting and going bright red Grin I'd miss hers, in fact I have done lots of times.

I go away in 5 weeks and am really going to have to pull my finger out re losing a few pounds, to be honest I'm not stressing about it because I'm still off the smokes, taking a very well deserved bow. I always stopped during each pregnancy, would have had a sneaky few especially with dd2, but would have slowly started again, when the kids were in bed - my special treat, but not one passed my lips the whole pregnancy with Anna (the upside of constant sickness) and apart from one the day of sisters wedding haven't gone back on them, so hopefully thats that done Grin.

Anna is 12 weeks tomorrow Shock and also getting her second lot of jabs, I think she has reacted the worst from all 3 of mine, she was definitely really out of sorts for a few days after the last lot, and Mr W is on nights this week so that should be fun Hmm

slowangels1 · 09/05/2011 14:50

ponyo we swaddle chest down (ie not including the arms) and it works quite well. It's either baby whisperer or gina ford that recommends hat from 8 weeks. can't remember which one though.

jane I saw a pretty white dress in monsoon today and thought of you as a potential wedding dress as it was really lose so would hide even a big bump I think. Will try and post a link if I can find it online. Don't think it was a wedding dress but looked wedding ish.

Oh, just lookign at the wedding dresses at monsoon website and getting all carried away with myself trying to pick one out for you jane Grin. this was my wedding dress www.monsoon.co.uk/bridal-dresses/lorton-dress/invt/85311741/ . Can't find the dress I saw in store though Hmm . Did get myself an overpriced summer dress from monsoon to try and cheer me up. Really hard finding dresses that will work with bfing though and all thedresses that would were only in size 8 or 10 Angry. I'm a dress girl usually you see and miss not being able to wear a single one of my pretty dresses in the wardrobe.

Oh - I thought I was safe on the poo front when going to bluewater this morning as she'd done 2 yesterday after days of nothing but she still managed to do a loud wopper when I was in rigby and pellar Blush . It was a bit green too Shock. I'm not sure what this says about me but you know those portable shops things in the middle of the proper shops? I walked past one that did massages and they were asking EVERY single person that walked past but then didn't ask me Hmm . Then walked past a stand where they were doing those glam photoshoot things and again was the only one ignored (must have thought there's a limit to what the camera can do Wink ). The walked past one who were selling new fitted kitchens and got asked if I wanted one. What does that say about me?! A dowdy mum only good for cooking Wink

wiggles good luck with mr w on nights and annas jabs. Not looking forward to next batch here.

MizK · 09/05/2011 16:28

wiggles Cass has her 2nd jabs tomorrow too, she went mental last time so am dreading it. Calpol on standby! Good luck...
angels nice work on the dress! jane looks like you could have a potential online wedding planner!
debka I have kind of the opposite problem to you. Cassia is 12 weeks and weighed 13lbs 13oz last Weds. I weigh her at baby group so when I see the Hv tomorrow I'm a bit worried, she might tell me off? Cass has gained 6 pounds since birth seems too much maybe? What do your 12 wk olds weigh? Is a jump from 50th centile to 90 something normal/healthy?

Bensmum76 · 09/05/2011 17:14

Angels you are the wedding planner. I also got married in a Monsoon dress, but had to wear red as was three months pregnant with Ben!
I've had a very lazy day today as dh hone before he goes away tomorrow. Slept two hours this morning and another hour and a half this afternoon! Either I'm exhausted or ill or my anti D's are making me sleepy!
MizK Noahs 12 weeks Sunday and weighed 13lb, 11oz two weeks ago. He has stayed on the 90th centile since birth though. I would have thought that any weight gain is good, as long as baby isn't over feeding!

slowangels1 · 09/05/2011 17:19

bensmum I've been on antids in the past and I seem to recall something about being quite sleepy/zoinked out for a few days when I first started taking them.

Keep forgetting to say big congrats to ledkr for losing a few pounds Grin . wear those primani jeans with pride :)

Oh yes - I love wedding planning :) think it's as we did ours so quickly (from engagement to wedding in less than 3 months) I didn't have the chance to savour the organisation (organisation obsessive here - I find planning holidays almost better than going on them Shock Wink )

debka · 09/05/2011 17:19

angels that is the self same dress my SiL wore, I swear!!

DD1 was a reluctant bridesmaid in a cute matching monsoon baby dress which I STILL haven't washed- it's bloody hand wash only! (this was a year ago now!)

mizk SIX POUNDS!!! Am mightliy impressed!! Mine hasn't even managed ONE!!!

OP posts:
debka · 09/05/2011 17:21

angels we are trying to plan a holiday but woefully failing- fancy a project???

OP posts:
byronicheroine · 09/05/2011 17:22

K was right on the 50th percentile at birth (7 lbs 1) but has since put on nearly 10 lbs...!! Everyone said that you can't overfeed a bf baby tho, and he's very long as opposed to just fat, honest!
I think you shouldn't worry too much about it, you know your baby best :)

debka · 09/05/2011 17:31

TEN POUNDS!!!!

My poor scrawny girl!!

Took her to gp who said she looked/seemed fine. I was am worrying a little less now.
