elle give a big wave to my sister when you're in cambridge - she's at uni there Grin . I love cambridge - it's a great place to visit IMO - make sure you go punting on the river Grin . Last time we went there was a very drunk lady trying to punt and kept falling in the river and thinking it was the funniest thing ever. I'm betting it was that party girl ledkr who gets about on her nights out everywhere Grin Wink

ALice too has that squeal. Tis tres annoying. It's usually with her when she's still happy but starting to get a bit bored, like when she's been on her play mat for a while so I can veg out with tea and cake clean the house. It quickly turns into moany noises but to the untrained ear it can be interpreted into very contented happy squeals.

Bored now as DHgone to bed already Shock and I'm on Alice duty until after the dream feed. Feeling a bit rough with tiredness so wondering how early I can get away with giving her her last feed Hmm

slowangels1 · 08/05/2011 20:28

oh, forgot to say jane - I'm 30 in dec but nothing planned yet. Want to do something but no idea what especially with Alice about. For DHs 30th we went hot air balooning in switzerland - defo a memory to remember forever. December is a rubbish time to have a bday anyway - all those bugs about and everyone booking everywhere for christmas parties. Do you think mn will do emoticons with party hats to help us celebrate our bdays?! Grin

Bensmum76 · 08/05/2011 20:48

Ledkr, just uploaded a piccie of Noah onto my profile. Wanted to do more but he got pisdy cos it was taking too long. I must have disturbed his eBay bidding!

ILovePonyo · 08/05/2011 20:59

Ok girls wish me luck, I have just put dd to bed unswaddled EEK Shock I am preparing for a worse nights sleep than last night (if so I'll be swaddling her back up straightway) and hoping for a better nights sleep. Oh god what have I done Grin

Elle Shock at Eddies, didn't know about that. I remember when it was 50p a shot in Snobs so £1.50 for double vodka and coke, aah all this thread reminiscing is rubbing off on me :)

ledkr is that pic up yet?! I want to see!

Oh I see no one liked that poem except for wandering

WanderingSheep · 08/05/2011 21:00

Ooh he's lovely Bensmum!

Lol at Hubbard dreading turning 25! I'm 28 in September.

Ledkr I still haven't done the shred yet. I've been a friend's DD's birthday party today with lots of food and cake so I'm going to start my health kick tomorrow. DH has done it once and he looked quite sweaty afterwards and he's quite fit so it must work you hard. Mine's just a rented one off Lovefilm.

WanderingSheep · 08/05/2011 21:05

Good Luck Ponyo! She'll probably surprise you and sleep really well. The amount of times I have worried with DD1 about any change eg. First night in own room, first night in a cot, first night in a bed, first night without dummy etc and she always slept the same and it never made a difference, iyswim.

debka · 08/05/2011 21:06

bensmum he is gorgeous!

Would put a pic of S up but you'd all be Shock at how skinny she is! Docs for us tomorrow I think.

Had a nice day today, S and I went to church, it was great, put her in creche and I got to sit in and listen for the whole service. DD1 won't nap in the day any more so we put them both to bed early and had a Chinese on our own together, it was quite civilised and we even TALKED! Then I went to my mum's and watched Desperate Housewives. Grin

Think I might head bedwards now, being 31 and in need of my sleep Grin

See you all tomorrow :)

Oh, had some Shock news today! Do you remember me telling you about a friend who was pg same time as me who was naming her DD the same name as I was? Well anyway, she had her DD 2 weeks before I had DD2. She texted me today - she's pg again!!! Due Jan! She also has a DS who isn't yet 2. Fab news but bonkers Grin

WanderingSheep · 08/05/2011 21:14

Glad you had a better day Debka Smile

wigglesrock · 08/05/2011 21:20

wanderingsheep Lovely news but a tad bonkers - Irish twins as my granny would say (2 babies within a year) friend of a friend is the same, due in September, her ds2 will be 1 in November.

Debka glad you had a good day, good luck at Drs tomorrow.

ponyo good luck with the non swaddling, fingers crossed

Bensmum why that's the cutest little tummy I have ever seen Grin

ElleB1980 · 08/05/2011 21:20

Thanks for the Cambs tip angels I'm definitely hoping to do some punting although I'm not sure how that will work with R!

I think the drinks in Snobs are still that cheap ponyo The last time I went my uni friends were reliving our youth by drinking Malibu and Coke. Ugh.

wandering I'm amazed by your friend...I can't even contemplate being pregnant again - I plan on leaving it a good few years. Some of my NCT class are keen on being preggers again by the end of the year. I think they are clearly bonkers!

Here's to sleepy babies....we're off to see a nursery in the morning so I'm hoping R is on her best behaviour!

WanderingSheep · 08/05/2011 21:25

I'd love another baby, I just don't want another child Grin. DH won't have anymore anyway but I just couldn't contemplate having another so soon. My body is like a train wreck!

slowangels1 · 08/05/2011 21:32

debka thanks for reminding me about desperate housewives -forgot that was on Grin and I'm sure Sabine isn't wasting away and looks lovely in all the piccies.

You know what I realised earlier - there are only 3 photos in existance of alice and I together as I'm so depressed about how I look I can't bear to be in a photo. That actually upsets me as I'd love to have lots of piccies of us together.

elle punting is great fun but hadn't thought about it with a baby Hmm . Maybe lots of shopping instead then Grin

pregnant again already Shock . good for her though. I want another baby but I can't bear the pregnancy bit again Hmm

malibu and coke elle - now I've never really been a drinker but when I was a teenager I used to go for that or archers and lemonade Grin

ElleB1980 · 08/05/2011 21:45

angels I was more a Taboo and lemonade girl myself... :)

WanderingSheep · 08/05/2011 21:48

Angels you've just made me realise that there are no photos of DD2 and I together Blush not even of me holding her at birth or anything Sad. I so hate my picture being taken. I hate having the reminder of how crap I look.

DH hates having his picture taken too (dunno why as he's really gorgeous and photogenic) and until our wedding a year ago we didn't have any recent pics of us.

We often joke that if either of us went missing we wouldn't have a photo to give to the police!

ILovePonyo · 08/05/2011 21:51

Haha angels I really fancied Archers and lemonade when I was pg! Don;t think I'd had it since I was 16. I'm the same re: photos, I don't have many of me and dd and most of the ones I do I don;t like Sad Think I need to just get dp to take loads, theres bound to be some decent ones in them Hmm

bensmum pic is so cute, what a lovely tum!

Hope you have a good sleep deb and glad you had a better day. Go on put a pic of S up Grin Hope docs is ok tomo.

The being pregnant doesn't put me off having another baby, I was moving wardrobes and changing tables into the house at 35wks Grin Its the first few weeks that are still putting me off - I do not look back on it fondly. Though I do sometimes daydream about having 3 kiddies...

Thanks for the good luck wishes with swaddling, will report back in the morning :)

wigglesrock · 08/05/2011 22:00

Photos - I hate getting my photo taken with a passion few could match but I have relented with the girls, only when they're babies mind you. Agree with Ponyo take millions you will get a good one, stand side on, it makes a difference and my top tip, take/print the photo in black and white, no blemishes, and they look really nice framed.

Wandering my sister and I joke all the time and make a serious effort to have a photo taken of ourselves that we wouldn't be scundered to show to the police or have shown on tv, it drives Mr W mad, he thinks we're morbid Grin.

WanderingSheep · 08/05/2011 22:24

Bleurgh, side on for me is ten times worse. My nose always looks like a carrot stuck on my face!

ponyo I don't mind being pg, although last time it did get a bit painful towards the end, it's the feeling really fat and frumpy afterwards that I hate. I need time to let my body get back to normal.

ledkr · 08/05/2011 22:42

Bensmum he's just how id imagined, lovely,is he wearing combats tto?Ah i miss having baby boys.
I would eat my eyeballs before having another baby but then i have had 5 over 26yrs Shock
Deb that sounds better maybe he knew he pushed it.
Ponyo-i dont know wht i stopped swaddling d it was spur of the moment,i put her in a grow bag and she's slept better ever since,it also takes the pressure off a bit cos i was a bit obsessed with dh swaddling her properly and he couldnt-stupid berk.
I paid a fortune for tastefull pics of me and Ella but i still look gross so wont bother again.
sleep well,im in bed watching the walking dead and dh sleep.
I did like the poem ponyo,i forgot to say,i read it out to dh and dd.

hubbard86 · 08/05/2011 22:51

i can't believe we're talking about more babies when they're only just or very nearly 3 months old. I must admit dh and i have had the talk and decided that when freya is in nursury we'll try again. I have photos of just the side of my face and freya. When i eventually get my netbook i will upload pics just of the fam not me i am not photogenic at all and i am under no illusions at all

ILovePonyo · 08/05/2011 22:58

Thats true wandering, I am not used to feeling fat and frumpy too, after feeling all nice and pregnant now I feel like a fatty again!

ledkr that made me smile, I was always looking over dps shoulder when he was swaddling dd "are you sure you've done it tight enough" " is her arm in ok" etc! Tonight was spur of the moment, just decided when I was putting her to bed, so far so good... glad you liked the poem :)

looking forward to seeing some photos hubbard :)

janedoe25 · 09/05/2011 07:26

Morning girls. Hope DD slept well without her swaddle Ponyo.

Whats this talk of more babies i hear? I can't wait to try again but have now to wait on the results of the genetic testing oh and bloody AF returning!

I was supposed to have my post natal check at the hospital on thurs but it didn't happen and i forgot to bring it with up with the consultant. Is it essential to have? If so do i make an appointment with my GP or a nurse?

Im sitting here waiting on my 2 mindees comming, just had a call form their dad telling me he was taking them to school today- did he not bloody think of telling me this last night before i got up at 6am! I may have a doze on the couch instead, i have gone back to not sleeping at night.

Hope you all have a nice day x

ILovePonyo · 09/05/2011 07:38

Morning, well Confused to no swaddling, she seemed to be a lot more grunty and waking up but did settle herself with a few shushes from us every now and then. I thought she might sleep more in the morning as she always seems to be grunting and straining, which I took as wanting to get out of her swaddle, but no she was doing it this morning too so up at 6.

So back to swaddling tonight as I had a crap nights sleep, oh well.

Oh and this morning there some poo in her nappy, I felt like a terrible mum b'cos didn't change her in the night, she never poos at night so didn't occur to me!

jane how long do you have to wait for results of testing? And I'd get yourself booked for the post natal check although at mine all they said was "how are you feeling" and gave a bit of a lecture talk on PND, so I hope they are sensitive to you at yours. Hope you're ok, the not sleeping at night is horrible so hope you're looking after yourself, in fact hope you're napping on settee right now!

ILovePonyo · 09/05/2011 07:40

Look at all the 'hopes' in that last sentence Hmm

WanderingSheep · 09/05/2011 07:42

Jane that sort of thing used to drive me mad when I was a CM! The early mornings rushing around for them arriving at 8 to be phoned up after 8 to say they weren't coming or they'd be in later, or sometimes I'd have an outing planned but they'd be really late meaning that we couldn't go.

I hope the genetic testing results come back ok.

Hope everyone had a good nights sleep! I've been up since 5!
