chulita the seller must be mad to turn down your offer in that case. i'd def hang on in there as you've got a good chance she'll reconsider. she obv knows you're ready to go now?

if you really love it then you could ask to speak to her directly and do a charm offensive on here, say you'll move heaven and earth to complete by april and you'll (if you can) raise your offer by another £1k but then that really is the maximum.

How far are you off now £15k still?

damnit - i want you to get that house!!!

bibs.... do you wash them after every meal or just wipe down? it's the wiping down of fleece that i can't get my head round.

I think I'm going to die from tiredness.

I don't understand how J doesn't just go to sleep, he must be totally knackered...why!!!

HotGiggity · 15/02/2011 09:28

Scratch that, he's asleep now...

Chulita Do you know if the person selling is living there? If they've got another property lined up to buy then you might be able to convince them to sell to you for less.

mlic glad w has cleared himself out, L did one of those last week i heard a fart and had to leave the room while he finished as it smelt so bad!
cakes i put a plastic backed bib under the pelican bib so it covers his neck when i let his feed himself other than that a normal bib and i wash one after every meal!!
well done F for sleeping in his big boy bed!!!

DesperateHousewife20 · 15/02/2011 09:38

Oh I didnt know Snappy Snaps etc did the pics for you, Ill def go there for them then.

Expensive things these passports, DP needs his renewing too so alot of money.

Ipod is in the freezer, explain how that will help again? I cant get my head round it!

How much roughly is contents insurance?

memphis83 · 15/02/2011 09:54

dh go on money supermarket or something like that we live in a detatched house that has been broken into before and its only £8 a month, that covers everything, you have to think if another flat had a fire you could get smoke damage or if people above you had a water leak it could bring your ceilings in it will cover furniture, carpets clothes etc, if you washer leaked and damaged floor your covered, we are even covered if L smacked tv and made it go bang. last year we got it through the bank and paid £13 a month everyone was telling me i was being ripped off!!!

Stac2011 · 15/02/2011 11:11

Morning all, how are you all?

Well done to F for staying in his own bed, maybe he likes having the cat with him. I use cheap vests for food and keep other ones for daily dribbles but our dog loves weaning lol

mlic glad W seems better, although stinking nappy sounds rotten. Is E still feeling rotten?

chulita i support the campaign to get you the house

dh if it makes you feel any better i'm dont have it either but since its so cheap i'm going to get it.

Not much happening here, going to get madam weighed and i have to get bloods done. J is defo turning into a teenager all huffs and attitudeAngry i can see someone being grounded for the rest of the hols

Chulita · 15/02/2011 13:06

We're currently 19k off as DH is a bit worried about leaving us short if we offer the extra 4k. The money is sitting ready to go so we could complete in the time it takes for the lawyers to do what they do. She's living there at the mo so obv wants to get what she can in order to be able to buy the best house she can in the next place. Apparently of the 3 she likes us the best (of course Grin ) but I think she's hoping someone will offer more. I think she's barking too and I'm really, really hoping that she gets back to us in a month desperate to sell cos I'd love to live in that house!

I have 2 bibs and let one dry if it's not filthy, the stuff just flakes off. L can't wear them cos she reacts to the plastic stuff.

dh I don't know, something about SSHD getting reset in freezing temps. But then I told a friend to freeze her mobile and that worked again and it's not a solid-state HD so who knows? if it's dead anyway there's no harm in trying!

stac teenagers are a nightmare! I remember my 14 yr old brother driving me round the bend...good luck :)

We went to a stay 'n play and L actually wandered off and played with stuff Grin YES! I was free to erm...look after S but still, didn't have her latched onto my leg the whole time. Unfortunately S dozed for 20 mins in the buggy and now thinks he doesn't need a nap.

memphis83 · 15/02/2011 14:25

chulita hopefully she will see sense, in a month if you haven heard from her will you give another push to pursuade her?

how often do people have the tv on, i seem to have mine on a lot just for background noise im getting consious of lyndon watching it (i dont put cartoons on) think i need to start playing the radio instead?!
also when your babies have naps do you put them upstairs? i still keep L downstairs as he usually wakes if i lie him in cot in the day.
ive made L enough food for a month today, also 2 days of chilli and 2 days bolognaise and a huge beef curry is in the slow cooker for us and my grandparents, my house downstairs is tidy but upstairs is a mess im struggling to entertain L when im up there!!

HotGiggity · 15/02/2011 14:37

Memphis We rarely have the TV on during the day as Jacob does just sit and watch it. I tend to put the stereo on for background noise instead.
He always goes in his cot for his naps. It's in the bedroom next door (we're in a flat). I always try to put him down awake and then getting him to go to sleep drives me to distraction.

CakeandRoses · 15/02/2011 14:56

memphis i'm just not a TV watcher really (apart from gypsy wedding, natch Wink) so it's literally never on during the weekdays.

We all love music (F adores it) so tend to have music playing on my Mac if upstairs or stereo thingy which plays stuff from ipod if downstairs.

F watches 10 mins a day of old Thomas episodes, a few Choo Choo souls (a children's song with variants for abc, 123 etc) or some motorbike racing Hmm on youtube - on my mac. If A's awake at the time then she'll watch it too.

A sleeps in her crib for naps but she goes down easily. With F i wouldn't have cared where he slept if he did!

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 15/02/2011 14:59

of course if we're at someone's house who has the tv on - F will stand their positively glued to it Blush

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 15/02/2011 14:59

Just got back from HV, Dylan weighs 19lb 10 (thought he'd put on more but happy with that)

ALSO- hes about to get a bottom tooth through! I had no idea lol. So pleased Grin

Chulita · 15/02/2011 15:21

i L watches Postman Pat followed by Bob the Builder in the morning while I get up/put S to bed, then any time I need her to be quiet so I can feed and settle fidgety-distractaboy which at the moment is at about 12 just before her nap.

dh hooray for teeth! I'm hoping to get S weighed on Thursday but I think I might have the repair man coming round, grr!

I'm trying to organise a family holiday for September and we're all extremely laidback so I thought I'd find a cottage near the sea and we'd all muck in...didn't count on sil unfortunately who was brought up quite posh (still can't understand how db and her got together cos he's almost horizontal he's that chilled). Everything I've suggested she's rejected, she then sent me a list of houses she liked (some of them spread over 4 floors which S would love at 13 months) and then today texted me to say that some of the ones she'd suggested wouldn't be suitable anyway. I've asked her for a list of what she would/n't be happy with and she's not replied but then rubbishes anything I suggest. I'm this (-) close to starting an aibu on her and sending her the link (as long as I'm winning) She's lovely but really doing my nut at the mo

Chulita · 15/02/2011 15:21

oh and S sleeps in his cot cos he won't settle anywhere else unless we're out. A shouting toddler might have something to do with it...

mlic I used to have it on more when S was really little but L embarrassed me one too many times by asking for Zingzillas while pointing at a screen in curry's Blush I also hate it when she can name every single character that mothercare sells in their tv toy section. Since cutting down I just get the Postman Pat song sung at me 20,354,195,788 times a day.

mlic the only thing L looks at the tv for are the confused.com adverts which is the music and the underdog advert when the voice says who cares? he smiles, made me a bit Blush my little brother who is 4 watches it all he would watch cbeebies all day but then all step mum feeds him is sausage rolls and cake bars Shock so not surprised she just plonks him in front of tv!
cakes on weekend mornings L watches the bike with dh he has no choice!!
L loves music but i get bored of cd's, my ipod isnt suitable listening for a baby and the radio talks way too much!!!
dh wont be back til 8 or 9! i really want a soak in the bath i doubt L will go sleep so i can have one

DesperateHousewife20 · 15/02/2011 16:31

chulita we Dylan watches postman pat and bob the builder in the mornings too.
