Wine,wine,wine.....someone mentioned wine..........good call.
D was beside himself in the end, he went down at 6.40, please god let us have a better night! Get this, this is how mashed my brain is, i forgot to feed him at 2.30.........he went without a feed because his moma FORGOT. I only realized when i went for the next bottle and there was two there. I could kill myself with remorse. If things wernt difficult enough, i just cant believe i did(or rather didnt) do that. I cant tell anyone in rl they might seriously think i need help! The upshot is he ate loads at tea time and had 9oz before he went down so......well see what happenes...........oh noooooo just as i type he has woken..........

ok it was a dummy run, he went down without a dummy he was that tired but he must have just realized, i cant believe how a dummy sends him straight back off, what the hell will happen when i want to take it off him?? I recon i'll just leave him with one forever. He only has it when he sleeps so its not a problem untill he has a cold!
Right off to order chinky, pour wine and have an evening to myself as DH is probably doing some serious damage to himself seen as though Birmingham City won the cup and he is in London.
cake that sounds like a lovely day.Dont know about an intolerance but i am beginning to thing there might be an underlying problem, i think im gona go to the HV drop in tomorrow and have a chat.
Mylife thanks, right back at cha buddy, it is shit, i love him so much but i really dont like the pile of shite that life is at the moment.

DesperateHousewife20 · 27/02/2011 19:50

DesperateHousewife20 · 27/02/2011 20:12

viks- DP is very upset about the game, they get so passionate dont they!
We're still trying to put him in his cot every night, I think we're giving in to the face he may be in with us for a while longer.

Evening all! Sounds like sick babies all around at the moment, M is in on the act as well.

She's had a bit of a tummy bug over the last few days. After waking every hour or two on Thurs to Fri night, she had a mouthful of breakfast, threw up her morning bottle, refused lunch (including the drink) and threw up her afternoon bottle too. I called the HV who advised I see if I can get an appointment before the doctor's surgery closed for the weekend.

Managed to get one and the doctor diagnosed a slight bug as M's temperature was slightly up. Advised Calpol and small amounts of food/drink, but if throwing up and not drinking continued to go to A&E as dehydration might become a problem. Shock

Fortunately the Calpol seemed to do the trick and M's only thrown up once since then and has no dehydration symptoms, though she seems to be eating and drinking a bare minimum. She struggled to settle yesterday evening and screamed herself into a state for several hours before she finally dropped into a whimpery sleep. :(

I wasn't sure whether the symptoms might be linked to teething? The HV said though that normally teething doesn't cause vomiting, and I can't feel any evidence of imminent tooth arrival. It probably is just a bug, we were out and about quite a bit last week as my parents were visiting!

I'm not sure if any of that helps you and G at all, Needle? M has seemed mostly ok in herself over the last few days, just a bit sleepier and clingier than normal.

For the cost of embroidered booties, Monsoon do some which seem to be around £10? I got some lovely ones from the outlet last week for £3-£5 which I thought was a pretty good deal... So I guess maybe somewhere between £5-£10, depending on the fabric, amount of detailing, etc? Yorkshire is cheap though, so you can probably add a premium on that for being London. Wink

viksam, don't worry too much about one missed bottle, it won't do D any harm. He would let you know if he was starving hungry and hold out until you could make with the bottle. :) M has accidentally missed a bottle or had a late meal on a couple of occasions because I/DH forgot she hadn't eaten yet Blush, so you're not the only one to do it.

oh mylife its the same here. I just dont get it, it ould be good that its getting earlier, it might mulge into his bedtime bocboc in the end...mulge, is that a word? im stalling on going to bed,can u tell? how sad is that. I dread it. I have also switched my phone off cos my mate is giving me a hard time for 'letting' my dh stay away tonight whilst things suck here. She doesnt have kids so i cant expect her to understand. She just thinks im coping for everything and she woud be right! but i dont suppose id have it any other way really.
Ummmmm thats all i can think of so i really should go to bed! night night xx

CakeandRoses · 27/02/2011 22:34

good luck with the night ahead vik.

try to keep remembering this is a short (albeit agonising) phase really and soon he'll be a romping toddler and this will be just a memory. you're doing great and coping brilliantly.

i've just posted to the book group thread, btw.

oh and memphis really pleased to hear how you're feeling. hope you get some sleep and a tooth for L soon!

ps tis funny how they all teethe differently. A and F didn't really have bumps where a tooth was due. i can just see a line underneath the skin (in a strong light) a few days before they're due

Hi ladies

I'm gonna go right in cos I can't tell anyone in RL. I'm 5 weeks pregnant Shock

We wanted it and started trying last month, we just didn't expect it to happen so fast. So I'm still in shock and need some hand holding please. It will be due end of Oct. M will be 1 year and 3 months Shock

WhatSheSaid · 28/02/2011 07:05

Shock Grin Shock Grin Shock Grin

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

I know so many people who got pregnant first month of trying with their second - seriously, the amount of people I know with a 14/15 month age gap is HUGE. I thought the same would happen to me as we started trying when dd1 was 6 months but it took well over a year for us.

My friend had 4 under 5, all singles, her biggest gap was 18 months and her smallest 14 months Shock

I also have a friend who got pg 2nd time she had sex after her first baby, has a 12 month and 1 wk gap and did GREAT, seriously, the older one doesn't even remember it was ever just her. She must be OK as she is now having her third dc (1st two will be 3.5 and 2.5).

Actually, lots of people say the first six months or so is tough but I think it's tough whatever the age gap. And when they're bigger they're at the same stage so hopefully will play together etc.

I am a little bit jealous too, we will prob not have any more as am getting too old Sad and I think it's fab you're having another.

though I do understand you may be feeling shit-scared at the mo.

But wow, CONGRATULATIONS!

Trudyla · 28/02/2011 07:16

Thank you so much. That's exactly what I needed. I actually don't know anybody with such a short age gap. Everybody seems to have at least 2 years in between. So I am mightily relieved that apparently it can be done. Thank you WSS

I am really, really pleased and always wanted a close age gap (my sister is 8 years older than me and I always felt alone when I grew up, so I've always wanted my babies to be good friends and play together). It's just a bit scary Grin

WhatSheSaid · 28/02/2011 07:18

Honestly, I know loads of people with that gap and they all seem to manage fine.

Having said that, I have a much bigger gap - 2.8 years - so I could be talking complete crap Grin.

I am having a wine for you, to celebrate, though (evening here)

memphis83 · 28/02/2011 07:51

trudyla congratulations, i've been wondering who would be the 1st to fall pg!!! my dh has quite a few friends with a small age gap he has 2 friends that have 2 kids in the same year at school, they said its brilliant for them growing up but dont think he enjoys it now they are 13 and both going on a skiing school trip at a cost of £1000 for them both!!!Grin very pleased for you even if im crossing my legs at the thought!!! Grin
L was up at 3.30 and was in agony again and then up at 6 still no tooth
cakes L's teething has been affecting his tummy more than his mouth up to now his gums are all bumpy and swollen like he has a full set of teeth painted pink!
dh has been paid today, its been a loooong month as we went holiday the week he got paid!! ive got his card to go shopping i think i need some flowers to spruce up the house Grin
