That's what we got seashells!dd3 is a bit tiny in it but loving it

Elsa progress is good though, shame it's so slow though. Think there is a support group on here somewhre have you seen it? Raggedy bits or something like that.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 17/02/2011 19:02

Elsa - as nymph says, progress is good :) are you doing lots of pelvic floorexercises and pilates? The body is amazing at healing, but it takes time. I hope LO was good :)

Nymph- they really are fab, every nursery I've looked around has them, which says alot!

nymphadora · 17/02/2011 19:44

The BLW forum recommended it. Also forgot tO get shower curtain for the floor

Elsa123 · 17/02/2011 20:33

I'll have a look at the antilop.

Yes Seashells I'm doing the exercises. Not pilates though. I may give that a go. DD was a star, cooing and blowing bubbles the whole time. Smile

Elsa123 · 17/02/2011 20:35

ooh the antilop comes in red....it'll match my kitchen stools Grin.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 17/02/2011 21:42
Grin

Well done dd :) they alway surprise us!

Pilates is good for all your central core muscles. Lots of exercises where you tense your pelvic floor and from top to toe and then do the position or stretch. If you had a traumatic birth your whole hip and back area would benefit from it (says the vet-but we are animals afterall!)

Oh dear. All the talk of wine is making me feel like I have denyed myself alcohol for far too long. Am beginning to obsess about G+T's. Found you all on new thread - lovely title. I like it. Suspect I am too late for all the cakes and tea that were around at the start of the thread. Ah Well!

The message box that I type into on this thread has gone teeny tiny - has that happened to anyone else or am I doing something wrong?!

Floozie - our DS similaries are quite bizarre and amazing and how strange that our 2nd babies are about the same age too! Yes, Mr Watts did DS eye op. He is a lovely, lovely man. Op seems to have gone well. DS eyes still very red but that should improve soon. I hope the squint is fixed now and no more operations needed now.

This box to write in is too tiny to continue so I am giving up until I find solution.

Hope everyone is okay espec ILGH in Bahrain

NoHunIntended · 18/02/2011 00:11

Mm, have had cake AND pie today! :)

don'tstop, re tiny screen, yes, it did that to me when I followed the link from the previous thread. By getting to this thread via Post-Natal, then thread title, all is well again!

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 18/02/2011 01:07

I use the mobile version so it may be a glitch associated with that as I was on my phone when I set up the new thread.

Hope you're doing ok ILGH.

DD slept 12 hours straight last night. I on the other hand was woken by a poorly spaniel every 3 hours so he could go outside. No food for him today. He's fairly chirpy but with a hot dry nose and very pale gums. He's keeping his fluid levels up which is good. V E T tomorrow I think if no improvement. I looked out of the front at midnight and there were cats all over the driveway, very odd. Like some kind of moonlight ritual the way they were all spaced apart and all lying down. Its not a small driveway and I think there were about 12.

Cats can be spooky creatures. Got home yesterday to find a black one by the backdoor. I told it to go as I was about to get the dogs out of the car. The cat just blinked at me and stayed put. I informed it that it may regret that decision an sure enough Scottish Terrier had a merry old time chasing it round the garden.

nymphadora · 18/02/2011 10:58

Weird with the cats elsa

ILGH hope you are all safe & the embassy was some use. If you still have problems maybe put a shout out for any MNers in the foreign office?

ILoveGregoryHouse · 18/02/2011 13:05

Hi all.

Quiet here at mo but waiting to see what happens by end of day. We're thinking of having a quick trip to Dubai next week so pils at least get a bit of a holiday. Genni's passport is on it's way to us so very relieved. My mum contacted my mp yesterday and she was great, getting the foreign office to call me to check about the passport.

I miss ds2 horribly though. Sad.

TimeForABrew · 18/02/2011 14:46

Great news about Genni's passport ILGH, thinking of you, it must be so tough missing ds2.

On a lighter note, I have at last found a replacement rattle for DD, I will NOT be boiling this one, just need to throw the mangled one out now, and no one will ever know! I feel as if I am leading a double life. Aunt took a photo of DD and one pupil came up pinkish so I panicked and took her to the docs who were very kind and sorted a fast track eye appt at the local hospital, all was fine, but didn't tell DH any of this as he will think I was over reacting.

nymphadora · 18/02/2011 16:10

Great news on the passport ILGH, how safe is it where you are to get out? Totally understand you missing ds2 but if you have to leave soon it's going to be one less to worry about. Do you skype or anything to keep in touch?

SamanthaB123 · 18/02/2011 16:13

ILGH I've been thinking of you and yours, hope you are all ok. I'm not so far from Essex and if there were anything I could do that would help just ask.

tiredfeet · 18/02/2011 21:08

ilgh thinking of you alln must be hard. Glad passport is on its way now

elsa that's very weird about the cats!

time the doctors obviously didnt think you are over reacting though! Glad all was fine

TimeForABrew · 18/02/2011 21:57

Thanks tired, I'm sure it will be one of many such occasions!

TysonNobdie86 · 18/02/2011 23:50

ILGH glad to hear the passports on its way, what a relief!

TIME finally a replacement rattle Grin and thank goodness dd's eye is ok :)

ELSA cats are very strange, my mum and I were having a good old laugh at two earlier playing in builders sand. Im more of a dog person though :)

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 19/02/2011 03:51

Ilgh-what a relief :) I hope te foreign office are being helpful, who knows where this will all lead!

Time-phew, now no more boiling of toys, they can cope with some grime now Grin

I have no idea with cats-they only spend time with us if thy deem is worthy ;) funny creatures, no wonder there are no many myths etc to do with them.

:)

Went out for family meal last night, got dd3 a high chair so she could sit while I ate but she decided to feed. Got totally admired by the landlord who showed pics of his grandkids & got his wife to come & see her too!

TysonNobdie86 · 19/02/2011 10:36

Oh Im really frustrated. I have been looking for a train that takes me near enough to an Ikea for the Antilop high chair and cant get one :( I want my car on the road again :(

tiredfeet · 19/02/2011 13:36

How about buses tyson? Sorry if that's silly q. I don't drive so constantly having to figure out how to get places. Much harder now with ds. Need to learn really. How long will you be without your car?

Thanks for tip re switch nursing hermya, we are slowly making progress Smile

ILoveGregoryHouse · 19/02/2011 14:17

Passport here. I could cry with relief.

nymphadora · 19/02/2011 14:54

Fantastic, just been watching Barhain on the news hope you are well out of the way. There was a thread earlier looking for posters there here

TysonNobdie86 · 19/02/2011 18:54

ilgh VERY HAPPY FOR YOU :)
Tired its not a silly question, just getting too expensive. My car broke at the beginning of January and will be fixed by march 17th, taking so long getting the money together. Its doing my head in.
