We used to travel during his nap or at night which worked well for us, but then another friend's baby hated the dark and they had to drive with the interior light on Hmm they will get used to it!

The local mums are right-everything is over subscribed here and so waiting lists. I have drive 20 mins to get to a nursery that could over anything more than one afternoon a week

nymphadora · 11/02/2011 09:45

Am glad I don't have to worry about nursery. Clubs & stuff not too bad to get into. Swimming lessons is the biggie but once you're in you're ok. btw hermya big pool near you advertising swim&sing (something like that anyway) from 5 months starting in march

Stop telling me horror stories about travel though. Have a few things over the next few months & dd3 doesn't like her car seat. We are going to ikea next week as our first trip over 30mins so that'll be funHmm

Elsa123 · 11/02/2011 10:07

Sorry to hear your journey was pants Hermya hopefully it will be worth it though!

SamanthaB123 · 11/02/2011 19:43

Sorry to hear about the travelling woes. We're flying to Ireland next week so who knows what that will be like. Ruby loves her car seat - almost too much, it's her favourite place to sleep in the day and I feel obligated to move her in case it's harming her in some way.

Hope everyone has a good weekend, we're viewing our new house again tomorrow to work out what we are going to get rid of before we move. Very exciting!

Tysonandthehouseelves86 · 13/02/2011 13:10

Taking ds to g.p's tomorrow, would it be ok do you think to get him to check dd over as well without mentioning it? Think ds has conjunctivitis and worried dd may have early signs of it?
Sam B have fun looking at your house, very jealous over here Envy :)

SamanthaB123 · 13/02/2011 15:34

New house is still fab. Loads of room for all of us to be together and apart. Seems like ages 'till we can move in. Just want to go now! I am so done with the old house.

Elsa123 · 13/02/2011 16:05

Hello all. Tyson appointments at the GP are only 10 mins long and they don't like it if you book one slot then go in with 2 complaints when you should have booked a double slot, so I would ask at reception if your DD can be squeezed in too.

Just got back from DD's first swimming session. She seemed to enjoy it. She went all quiet and zoned out. The wetsuit was fab, kept her really toasty.

nymphadora · 13/02/2011 17:15

We have to book one appt per person but can have as many ailments as you want ( I usually do Blush)

Had another couple of feeding all night-ers. She's also obsessed with the bath and asks everytime we are in the room!

nymphadora · 13/02/2011 17:17

Enjoy the new house SamB . Do you have a completion date?

Tysonandthehouseelves86 · 13/02/2011 17:35

Thanks, I ll mention her when I book app then. Ds being sick today aswell and I was ill last night, think i food poisoned us Blush . Hopefully he will be better to go to his playgroup disco weds eve.

TimeForABrew · 13/02/2011 21:02

Hi peeps, posting & running ( jogging very slowly really), hope you're all doing well / better where applicable. Anyone doing baby massage? Front room needs a tidy but CBA, need huge glass water and off to beddy beds.

nymphadora · 13/02/2011 21:44

We do baby massage. Group once a week & often after a bath.

TysonNobdie86 · 13/02/2011 22:41

No to baby massage but would like to. Just seem so busy with ds aswell as sophie. I dont know how anyone copes with more than 2 dc, they must be super parents!

NoHunIntended · 13/02/2011 23:22

Ooh, good luck packing for your move, Sam. Glad you are keen to get moving, and not so emotionally attached to your present home. I'd love to move, won't happen for a year or so at the earliest though, but I will miss this place, small and awkwardly laid out as it is!

Tyson, hope both your littlies are seen by the GP, and all is well.

I've just booked onto a Baby Massage class. Been looking for a class for ages, only just found it. Have been doing my own style of massage on DS, seen bits online etc, but think a dedicated class will be good, and to meet new mums.

DS is sitting up on his own now, and he does double rollovers too! He is chatty and giggly and so so adorable. Went swimming with DH and my mum today. DS has snoozed for ages this evening - must have exhausted him. Probably will mean we are up all night tonight. Oh well! DS kicks loads, looks really promising. Elsa, glad the suit is working out.

ILoveGregoryHouse · 13/02/2011 23:51

Hi all. Just feeding Genni. Think my milk is starting to go Sad but she fids the feeding position too difficult now.

DH just gone off to UK for interviews. He's taken DS2 with him to stay with my mum and dad. They're back Thursday and Dh's dad and stepmother will be here Wednesday for a two week visit. DS1 is being a sweetheart staying to look after me and DS3 in terrible twos in earnest. Little shit. Grin.

Anyhoo, back to vom girl! Getting through ten muslins a day!

nymphadora · 14/02/2011 08:43

Hun- dd3 is sitting on her own too. People keep not believing me until they see her thoughHmm

ILGH- good luck for dh interviews. My dh has one next week but is in a quandry as his preferred jobs haven't closed yet but one def wants to see him.

Tyson- no super parent here. Been planning dd2 appt for 15th & ikea tomorrow....

tiredfeet · 14/02/2011 11:15

Hello all, we have had a lovely weekend away, the cottage was beautiful and there were loads of cupboards stuffed full of toys and books. Ds was obsessed with the xylophone, he would cry I stopped playing it. I think that will be next on my shopping list Grin.

He's being ill now though, he's been sick three times since last night poor thing. Just waiting to go and see the dr now.

I gave up going to baby massage classes, they kept the class room so hot it made ds really uncomfortable, we just do it at home now.

NoHunIntended · 14/02/2011 13:47

ILGH, I read that oats help sustain our milk supply - I have a huge bowl of porridge every morning - may be worth a go?
Good luck to your DH re job, and nymph's too.

nymph, I managed to take a photo of DS sitting up, so no room for doubters! :)

tf, welcome back! Glad you had a good time. Hope DS gets better soon.

nymphadora · 14/02/2011 16:07

Dd3 sits at all opportunities but people still think I'm holding her. She can sit up in the bouncy too so it's not a lot of good now unless she relaxes & is supervised

Hermya321 · 14/02/2011 17:38

I think we're going to travel back at bedtime on our way back and see if that works. Next time we're using the train, much less stress all round really.

I also managed to get on a bike and go swimming this weekend, I actually remembered that exercise isn't that bad and not the work of the devil (running is though, I only do that because I have to).

Nohun Oh wow, thats so cool!!

Nymph Ditto.

DS has learned to go 'oooo' and has mastered the raspberry as well. He's also started to want to hold something when he goes to sleep, I think I'll actually have to get a comforter of some kind.

Hermya321 · 14/02/2011 17:41

For anyone that uses BGv3's, you can get unlimited amounts for £5.55 each on baba me.com

There is also BOGOF's on flips!

Elsa123 · 14/02/2011 18:32

Gosh, all these skills! DD is behind on some because of her harness, so she's working on others like advanced raspberries, blowing and quite a wide vocab.

h DD oves her comforter from M&P like a soft silky puppet thing. Muslins are popular too.

nymphadora · 14/02/2011 18:58

Dd3 has to look down on other babies. Either sitting or standing. Looming over friends dd today really threatening but she wasn't bothered. She's much worse with friends dd than anyone else!

Elsa123 · 15/02/2011 13:21

Perhaps she knows she'll be a tall girl Nymph. I managed to get dressed at 1200 today.....my best friend rang me at 1100 and I said I was still in my dressing gown, she said ooh lovely. Believe me I had no intention of being that way!

I did however get DD to bed at 2030 last night and she was up at 0615 which wasn't too bad. I'm wondering about getting her into bed earlier and doing the dream feed thing, but it would mean no relaxing with a glass of wine occasionally and also would make me up later than I am usually so I'm not too sure!

TysonNobdie86 · 15/02/2011 14:16

Sophie cant sit or roll yet, but nor could ds at her age. she gets halfway on her rolls but then gets bored :)
