Hiya Spookylips - don't get disheartened! Must admit I'm spending more time on the due in Feb 06 thread and trying to get my life sorted in RL - i.e. preparing for two dd's about 16 months apart - eeeek!

DD is currently getting bruised all over as she keeps falling down when cruising - she'll get there soon. Last week she stood up with no hands - looked strange - thought she was resting her tummy on the chair she wasn't - a freestanding girlie - let you know when she makes that all important first step!

DD is doing lots of 'dancing' gets on her knees, twists and jiggles even to the Noddy tune - funniest and cutest thing ever!

Hope everyone is well

Riebee · 31/10/2005 13:36

Hiya

Well it was Chimpy's birthday Friday but we celebrated on Saturday as my other two were at their Dads. The party was a big success. We had a bonfire with lots of fireworks and he was lovin it. Every time a firework went off he would say bang or make the noise...sooo sweet. I managed to get all the cooking done and the ckae made in time but I was run off ny feet all day.
He is now a much happier chimpster now he has some new things to play with but I think he much prefers to empty the kitchen cupboard to anything he has thats meant to be for babies. The wheely bug has gone down really well, its still a bit big for him to ride on by himself but we hold him on and whizz him around the living room.

Well I better go and do something while hes asleep

maisiemog · 31/10/2005 14:30

Alfie's one today!! He is going to be dressed in black cape with blood down the side of his mouth and we're putting a sign on the front door saying 'beware of Dracunappy'.
He has no idea.
He doesn't even want to rip his present paper up?!?
And he won't eat mummy's lovely sandwiches!?

maisiemog · 31/10/2005 14:31

Happy belated birthday to the chimpyone!!

cazzybabs · 31/10/2005 19:20

Sorry spookylips!!!! Grace is currently flat out aslepp on my lap - I am hiding upstairs away from nasty trick and treaters - god I Can't bear them!

She is soo funny with her dancing. She goes round and round on one leg in a circle.

Happy birthday Alfie!

spookylips · 31/10/2005 19:39

its ok now as you've all come back

happi belated bday to chimpy and alfie..

baba had gone to bed and im off for a bath

cazzy - mine had start doing that but going round circles and she thinks its funny till she bumps her head!! plus she does it in the swimming baths too and she thinks its hilarious!!!

maisiemog · 31/10/2005 23:13

Right they've all gone! Phew!
We had a party for Alf, it started at 5 and went on until 9. I had to chuck the family out, as they all looked very comfortable sitting there, making loads of noise. I'm such a grumpy cow!
I think it's when you've spent the day running around getting ready for visitors, and you expect them to leave around 8 and they are still there an hour later, despite hints. I'm so tired and the house is a bombsite.
It was really nice though, Alfie had the best time and was exploding with excitement - couldn't get him to sleep until 10.
He has started doing a lot of climbing - on very unstable objects. He just stands there, on one leg, on top of his walker, trying to get onto the bookshelf.

spookylips · 02/11/2005 08:34

well im off to "Early start" in the minute with baba.... baba is gonna be a gud mum as she know how to feed her dollies (bottle and biscuit or toast and plenty of kisses and cuddles!!).. its makes my heart melts!

Superblastofflips · 02/11/2005 21:42

HAPPI BELATED BIRTHDAY FROM me X (its Biglips btw)

cazzybabs · 02/11/2005 22:53

Grace's new trick is to want to be on chairs - she points really hard at them till you lift her onto them (and woe betide you if you are on them)...she is such a huge personality. She loves my rocking chair best of all (humph - as does everyone - I hardly get a look on anymore) - throwing herself back on it to make it rock.

Tonight she is in with her big sis because our friends are coming over from Sweeden to stay (god I am so excitied - I miss them soooo much) and are having her room. I am praying they both sleep through.

maisiemog · 02/11/2005 23:53

Hi all, This is a long whining post, please do not read if you are easily bored.
I just wanted to post and complain about a rotton woman who sold me a nappy on Hunnybeez back in July. It turned out to be the wrong size - i.e. not the one she had described, and was too small for Alf.
I emailed her and in a polite way said it was a lot smaller than I had expected and could I return it please, or swap it for another nappy.

Nothing...

I didn't want to hassle her, 'cos she's a mum as well, so left it for a few weeks and emailed again.

Nothing...

Finally, I noticed she posts on UKParents and sent her a private message and she answered saying it was fine to return the nappy.
So I posted it and nothing... I PM'd her four times to see if it had arrived. Nothing...
Meanwhile she was still posting on UKParents - and as you have to logon, she must have noticed she had messages?!
I returned to Hunnybeez and posted asking for advice on how to deal with failed purchases on their classifieds forum. I was contacted by the site manager who asked for details.
Then the woman who sold me the nappy posted in response to my question and said I hadn't emailed her or returned the nappy. She was cross because I hadn't contacted her directly? She said I took ages to reply to her emails and was generally rubbish.
So I was a bit shocked at the ferocity of her response and then was surprised to see the non-returned nappy, for sale on her website?
Grrr!
What a load of rubbish
End of moan.

huppa · 03/11/2005 08:24

maisiemog - what a hassle, just the sort of thing guarenteed to make my blood boil.

Slave2babe - lovely photos. Must say I´m very jealous of your dd´s hair. I always wanted hair just like that.

sbolips - how´s life without your mum living with you?

Ds is really developing a temper when he can´t get his own way - and he was such a placid baby for the first 8-9 months. I knew I shouldn´t have counted my chickens before they´d hatched.

cazzybabs - have a great time with your friends.

Riebee · 03/11/2005 08:57

Hi all

Maisiemog...what is it with some people? Life is too short to carry on like that.

Slave2babe...luuurvly photos, so cute.

well I'm afraid it's all a bit gloomy in our house at the moment. We went to my dh uncles funeral yesterday.. he was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks ago and died last thurs we are all still in shock as to how fast it all happened. Then to top it all we got a call from mil last night to say that his Grandad who has been in hospital for a few weeks has taken a turn for the worse and the doctors have decided to remove his drip and let nature take its course. . we are going to see him later to say goodbye.

Sorry to post doom and gloom.

Hope everyone is doing ok

Superblastofflips · 03/11/2005 09:23

oh my so ever sorry to hear about your Grandad and Dh's uncle

Just remember to be strong for your Dh as he gonna need you more than ever XXXXXXX

Maisie - i bet you felt like slapping her as life IS too short for you to be running after that stupid woman i would've of been livid!!!

mum is moving out on SATURDAY 5TH NOV.. its party time

maisiemog · 03/11/2005 14:14

Reibee hugs to you and your dh. I'm so sorry to hear about your bad run of luck. I hope Chimpy is doing his best to cheer you all up (I'm sure he is)
I hope the visit to your dh's grandad goes OK and manages to be as positive a thing as possible.

Biglips, I don't think you should actually put up banners and balloons until your mum leaves, or she might be slightly suspicious.
Thanks for everyone's support re that woman.
I sent her an email last night with all the previous emails attached, so I'm waiting to hear back. Funnily enough my nappy that was for sale on her website is now 'out of stock'.
