Lovely news from the FC - CONGRATULATIONS!!! =I hope you and bub are doing well. Can't wait to hear about it. x

okie fgood news about your dental experience. BAd news about the pain. Have you got top painkillers yet? Salt water is what you need. Ironically the tooth that I have needed to have out for about 2 years but couldn't due to a) getting married and not wanting to look like gappy gob and b) immediately getting diffed is now hurting. so will need to have the fucker out. Did you have temazepam or intravenous sedation? BTW you are so dedicated to your beauty treatments! Why am I the only scumbug that rarely shaves etc these days. Do you have a fabulous sex life or something that you are hiding from us? It's a miracle if I can pluck my bleeding eyebrows. one day they might grow over.

Last night frigging miracle occurred. Hour long feed at 6.30 and then monkey slept til 1 AM!!! We had gone to bed at 9 so woke up in a right old panic! Got up at 3 and 5 but still didn't mind that at all. we started the day at 8 and managed to get him to space 3 and 4 hours all day thanks to going out/physio app/doc app. Clearly spacing is going to mean going out alot for now until he is a bit more happy going longer. Still, am happy as today has gone much better and he has fed better. Fingers crossed for tonight but thinking I'll be lucky given he has now had his jabs this afternoon. He screamed for a bit when we got home, but took his nappy off and all smiles as per usual! Conked out now so we'll see when he awakes...

Hilarious news also - NCT teacher wants me to talk to preggos. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Sleep deprived nutter with 3rd degree tears and a giant baby? WTF is she thinking? I'll have them running for the hills. Still, I like talking and will give me something to do.

X post mooster. had intravenous sedation, tis the way forward. I would like it every night plz. I shaved my legs for the first time in 3 months yesterday too. Figured if I needed to strip off and wear a hospital gown I may as well get rid of my leg forest. I have not tackled the lady garden since BP (before Peppa) so it is overgraown and unruly. I need to trim and get myself off for a brazillian. And no, I have not had the sechs yet. Good news on the night time sleeping. Can I come to your NCT talk?!

Report
OkieCokie · 07/01/2011 21:00

And the reason they want you to do the talk is cos you did it all au natural. NCT like that. The fact you were practically asleep just before your laid is perfect NCT fodder.

Report
rollerbaby · 07/01/2011 21:00

Yes will be a talk to behold. Am going in NO MAKE UP and will make sure I am extra tired and emotional.... ha ha.

Had 8 week dr appointment today and discussed the sechs. She offered me the progesterone only pill... I nearly laughed in her face. We'll be lucky to do it once a month at this rate. Although I would like to get back on the old horse sooner rather than later and check it's all still working alright. I worry I might spray him in the face poor chap. Not exactly deeply erotic.

Moo I had the Mirena coil fitted between PFB and PSB - not sure what I was thinking . It fucking hurt like hell for three months and I bled constantly so had it taken out.

Report
rollerbaby · 07/01/2011 21:13

Ah yes of course birth au naturel. Shall I mean the fact next time we will be getting the epidural in the minute I go into labour? Even I am fucking impressed by the going to sleep bit. Less impressed by the screaming and pushing. One of the doctors I concidentally ended up chatting to 3 days later remembered me squealing all the way down the corridor. And swearing.

Any other suggestions on content ladies?

Report
rollerbaby · 07/01/2011 21:16

I is squeamish about the coil... At the beginning of our relationship I thought it would be an excellent idea to go and get the cap fitted. Mr Moo less impressed by the news that this was a 70ish% rate of protection, him being a risk averse solictor and all. Oh well, condoms it is then. I'll buy a 3 pack. Should last a while.

They do save 1/3 about 3x a year but is on everything - wipes, nappies, breast pads, nappy cream, cups, purees, snacks. Yeah you can prob pick up wipes & other paraphernalia cheaper if you shop around but I always struggled to get nappies better than 1/3 off and Organix & Ella's Kitchen stuff was never on deal, ditto tommee tippee.

I used to buy 3-4 months supply of nappies (Pampers boxes, also rarely on deal) which kept us going until the next promo.

Brazillian Okie - eeek Confused. Just about managed to get a razor down there for swimming expedition at the weekend....no idea how tidy it was since I can't even see my feet. Wish I was brave enough for a more radical trim [gulp]

honey I remember those panics - waking up and thinking "wtf? the baybee hasn't woken up for 5/6 hours" and LEAPING from the bed adrenalin pumping! Grin Congrats on getting back to sleep. And also I'm glad to hear that he wasn't overly bothered about his vaccinations and soon returned to smiles!

Shaving? I have not done my lady garden since being sliced & diced. We are still having sex though. 70s style.

As for speaking to the NCT preggos - isn't it a bit you know, "late" for you to be telling them the troof? You should be going around schools talking to 14 year old girls who drink Pink Lady at the weekends. Wink

cossie How are you? And how is rots?

curly You are a proper trooper with your illness. I fear Bear may use his teeth to bite the dog's ears with sooner or later. Tasty!

cunty Did you have any luck with sunnies/goggles for Rastus? I ran across some in the posh shop yesterday for 30 euros, so I nipped in to Decathlon who were all sold out of course. I'm unsure of what to do - he's going to be inside for the best part and if we go out in the evening it'll be dark.

So last night we got another 7.30pm until just after midnight when I flew into his room and he was happily sucking his hand! I thought I may as well feed him and go back to bed. He then woke at 3 and then at 5 and then at 7.30. Each time we're back to the 8-10 mins on one boob only. Should I have woken him earlier last night at 10 or 11? Do u think that's why he's only managing shorter spells in the wee hours? Not sure what to do. My understanding is that they sleep one long spell in night so maybe I am doing this too early. Help!

Tired today. Massive argument and feel like going on strike.

Happy Saturday!

Congrats to all the new and newish lays! mas feed, feed, feed - it will pass at around 7-8 weeks and all settle down and be lovely. Pop across to the Breast and Bottle Feeding thread if you need help, advice or support. polly Grin. Wonderful. Ditto FC :)

skibee Didn't know you were TTC again. Blimey, I'm out of the loop. Good luck. Incredible. I'm getting V broody again but can't imagine being preggo with comma just about being 6 months and me just about getting used to it all again. Much respect.

HOney I think it's just quite common for them to do their longer stretches of sleep earlier in the night, I know Artie does his longer (ha!) ones then. You could try a dreamfeed type thing at 10 or 11, I know some people who have had success with them, but others who it's made no difference for.

Artie also tends to only do one boob at night, I'm sure it's one of the reasons he doesn't go that long between feeds, but I'm buggered if I can get him to wake up again to take the other!

Report
rollerbaby · 08/01/2011 10:41

Sounds like identical To me cos. I change his nappy and ge does wake up but buggered if I get him to take 2nd boob.

We've Bern doing dream feed every night til now but hecwouldcwake at 2 or 3 and then at 4 or 5 so not really making much difference. I'm going to try it again tonight though and not let him sleep on so much.

Also going to try and feed with bottle at every feed today which means we have a day of screaming ahead! Urgh.

Honey rightly or wrongly I don't wake MB in the evenings at all once he's been put to bed. Last night we went out and took him with us and we got home some time after midnight so I changed and fed him. He then slept til 630 ish. He then was awake til 830 then started to drop off again so he went back to bed for 30mins or so which was long enough for me to shower.

alps OMG Pink Lady!!!! Dem's da dayz. Plus the compulsory 20 B&H or a ten pack if no pocket money left!!!

Wrt sechs - me no interested. Fink it's cos my bod I am not liking veh much at the mo and I is frankly too tired. Am I the only one?

Just wrote a bloody long post and lost the fucker.

Moo when he wakes at 3 and 5 is he hungry and crying or just stirring? Do you automatically feed or do you try a reswaddle and a pat and see if he goes back off without a feed? If Peppa wakes at 5 or after I tend to try and only give a small feed to take the edge off as I like her to have a full feed at 7am. If she wakes before 5 then I give a full feed ie feed until she has had enough.

Aaah I've made it...

Yo FESHes! Lets break open the pate, over-ripe brie and the gin. Grin Not sure how long I'll be here - just put BabyBird down, but we'll see how long that lasts...

Once a week Cunty?

Ok, just quickly - BabyBird brought up a bit of milk after her afternoon feed but it was tinged with pinky/red. And this evening when I fed her she had milk all over her chops (milk has come in in a big way) but when I wiped it had tinges of blood in it. Think it is just from my nips as they are bit sore due to probs with latch, but did anyone else suffer with this? Made me a bit freaked.

Oh gawd, she is squawking already... back later. Smile

Can I also ask for advice on co-sleeping? I fear it is the only way forward, at least in the short term, seeing as BB refuses to sleep in moses basket at night and I am going to go insane if I don't start getting some more sleep. How do you manage in terms of duvets/ blankets etc? I managed to feed BB lying down in bed at 6am this morn (up until this point I'd managed 30 mins sleep), and we both drifted off to sleep for 3 blissful hrs but I woke up with us both smothered in duvet. Blush SIL recommended sleeping propped up in bed with lots of pillows wearing fleece/jumper, but I'd kind of like BB to be able to latch on while we're both half asleep but maybe Im trying to run before I can walk.

Waheeyyyy pollo is finally here!!!!! I'm typing on my phone so answer in brief I'm afraid. We did co sleeping and I had him by my side his head sort of on my crooked arm. Seemed best as neither of us moved and he was lateched on opposite my lower boob and I'd go off to sleep. This basically saved me in early days but he also woke up hot and sometimes under duvet!!! I don't take him in our. Bed anymore as he suddenly seemed to get sick whenever I fed him here after acfew weeks! I think as long as they sleep in own bed most of time co sleeping is ok but personally I didn't want it long term. He is def much happier in his own bed/room and that's because we do nearly everything in there with him in terms of feeding/changing and playing in the morning and evening.

Okie he is def hungry as i only go to him when he cries properly. I don't get up otherwise!

Today was a good ish day but quite knackeribg after long night of feeds. He iscdefinitely spacing out in day between 3-4 hours all of a sudden and he napped exactly when he should at 9, 12 and 3 ish. It was brilliant. Mr moo fed him bottle every time and ge took between 39-50 with alot of screaming. Not so good. Positive in that he's taking some but not sure that he is happy about it or if that will improve. We'll keep trialling didfeenct bottles I think. Mr moo also committed To it more now and I felt for him today as he was at the receiving end of the screaming. Not sure whether to keep on with dream feed or just leave him. We are going to see what time he wakes tonight and then decide tomorrow I think. Off to sleep now Nighty night x
