I have this morning for the first time evah left Bear with a friend rather than him being with us or parents. Tbf she was the first of our friends to ever hold him and she's got 3 kids so I'm not worried about handing over the reins as it were. Although it did seem like a big step this morning tbh. But I'd better MTFU as I'm leaving him with a nanny (daytimes only obv.) for 2 weeks v soon!

We still haven't sorted out a more permanent daytime arrangement. This is actually the first time when we've both HAD to be at work and couldn't reschedule. I am very, very lucky that I can work from home and work flexi-hours - so far my only real problem is conference calls. We were waiting until we moved house to arrange childcare because obviously we want the creche to be near home, but as we're only moving the other side of town it's not an enormous distance. I really ought to call someone as the Bear needs to learn a new language!

Actually I didn't call at all ShockGrin and jb is on his way to collect him now - I just hope he hasn't been a horror. Although she has a spaniel which I told her could be used as a distraction in the face of a screamathon! Wink

Cossie sorry about your cat. Big hugs to you. x

Alps - is the teething getting worse I take it?

Can't wait to hear the FC news...

I did a massive 2 day catch up post last night and fucking lost it. Bastard internet.

Too tired today to repeat but the hightlight in case anyone is remotely interested:

Tuesday - Hideous Day with no proper napping/eating and a 3 hour colic screaming session before bedtime.

Weds - Fab Day with going out and napping well and fab swimming lesson. He absolutely loved it apart from a bit of crying and got splashed in the face and was very brave. NExt week dunking under! I wore my maternity tankini which is too big in the tummy and too small in the tits. Disaster. Someone was there in a fucking bikini I kid you not.

Thurs - the 2 feeds a night continue. Last night bad thanks to major clothes change poo and then subsequent projectile vomit and change. Feeling it today but managed a tiny cat nap this morning and should be asleep now really. Does anyone else suffer from the odd proj vomit? He does it a few times a week and I worry this isn't normal.

today is so yucky weather wise. but we are heading to HV and NCT meet up later so not moping about too much...

Report
SilverSky · 06/01/2011 17:58

costa ditto here about your moggy. Not nice.

honey some days are utter shit and others less shit. FACT.

alpy if they deny me I will do my sentence but will be looking around as can't afford FT nursery and don't want him I'm nursery FT either. So we'll see......

HV came today. Told me not to underestimate how tiring bf'ing is and not to forget the extra 500 calories a day rqd which is essentially two slices if cake. Also it's nine months on gaining weight and then another nine months to lose it. Need to contact the hossie to arrange the debrief. Also need to see the dr about my bum grapes as they need to be gone!!!!

Alps it was fooking Ronnie of course or some other unhinged woman who took Bear.

Glad swimming was a success. And ignore the cah in a bikini - she is probably the nanny/au pair or summat.

I got a bit of R&R and me time today but had to have MAJOR sugery to get it. Well I had my irksome wisdom tooth out under sedation in hospital so read nearly a whole copy of Red while waiting and then had a lovely sleep. When I came too I was most worried that the sedation was wearing off and I was going to feel it too much so I asked them for more and they told me it was already done! How cool is that? I fed Peepa just before and Mr C brought her back about an hour after to feed again and it worked liked clockwork. I was feeling pretty OK a couple of hours after so went and got my toenails painted and eyebrows threaded. I was dreading the whole thing more than childbirth!

Silv man up and go and see quack about the grapes or if it is not a man up thing and a time thing tnhen you have to make time. I had the consultant poking a finger up my arse recently as I have this terrible pain there when I sit on hard surfaces for any length of time and go from sitting to standing. It looks like I have damaged my coccyx during the birth but believe me it is best to get it sorted and seen too.

okie She's not a nutter - although she was in the RAF and she hates flying! GrinHmm Anyway apparently he was as good as gold - entranced by her 3 kids and dog. Walked the children up to the bus stop for school then spent the next 3 hours being cuddled, giggling and babbling to her. Huge smiles when daddy went to collect him. So thankfully he didn't blow it and he'll be welcome back. I was a little nervous that if he screamed his way through the entire morning nobody would ever offer to babysit again! Btw - very sorry to hear about miniokie - that must be a real PITA. :( And yes, it must make you look like a totally PFB-martyr nutter! Wink The pampering sounds good - tooth extraction not so much! :(

silv Yes, 'tis hard to find a balance - especially with a time-consuming hoss.

Right then you bunch of lily-livered wusses - who's coming back over to BESH with me? cunty? cossie? You're both soft as shite on this issue. Ditch your contraception girls - let's get diffed!

curly How did it go at docs?

honey The teething is actually going fine - again, I just put the gle on a few times a day although tbh I'm not sure he's grumbling about gums! I think it's just a development in personality and a growing realisation that he is in fact his own entity and he wants something and he wants it now - but of course, is not yet able to articulate clearly what he wants - or is not physically capable of doing it!

Alps count me out luv. It cannot be an option at present and is only a vague consideration even after events have taken their course. You're too quick off the mark for me.

And also how could I dream of turning my PFB into a Semi-PFB??

Oh plz cunty - PFB-martyr-mummies don't drop their PFB off the sofa because they're too busy shuffling their cleavage and putting on another coat of mascara!

silv 'ccording to PESH her docs were very sensible - gave her 8 hours from induction to lay then sunroof - rather than letting it go on forever. A very wise option I think. Induction either works or it doesn't - there's 3 of us testament to that now!

fanny should be thrilled - MrsFC is nearly as old as her! Grin

silv nn for #2 will be "ohnoesplstochangemind" or mistake.

Whoop for MsFC. They come out one way or another huh? Plz to come back soon and tell us all about it.

I have a prescious 30 mins while both children are sleeping however I have had to spend it expressing as I can't seem to get enough out in the evening now for the 10.30pm feed. I have been trying to watch what I eat after being a fat bloater for the last year but maybe this is affecting my supply? Any ideas expressing laydeez?

Tooth (or gap where tooth was)is a bit hurty today but I am hoping that I can soon yawn again and it be pain free.

Alps I have just sent all my maternity clothes to the charity shop at the request of Mr C but secretly I just figured if I get diffed again I will buy new (I also kept all my Isabella Oliver things - too pricey for charity). Deep deep down I would like another baybee, but Mr C will need a lot of persuasion. Maybe I try a sly drunken shag at ov time Wink (not that I would ever dream of that!) Anyway, I think I would hold off for a couple of years or until Mini Oke is near school age - three children in childcare is just not financially do-able.

excellent news from the FC camp. And what a wee cutie he is.

And another PESH must be within safe distance of her EDD about now, any chance of a hat-trick?

Hosp was ok alps. I'm clearly well padded because i hardly felt the jab on the arse. However, as warned, i feel pretty grotty now, but that's not supposed to last long and I'm sure I'll be wonder woman by the end of the weekend. actually, normal woman would do. I'm back to the level of tiredness of the early weeks with my girl. i'm v jealous of the toothage at your end. We've have months of misery and still no fangs. mind you, she's not been bad in that dpertment since before Christmas. but her cold and cough are lingering. Sad

on the upside, she took a few steps while holding my hands a few times this week. And drank a little milk from a cup. Wanted my tea so i gave her a shot with a beaker and formula. like Bear she wants everything and throws a right strop if she can't have it. I get killer looks every time i take half-eaten envelops, dog hair, wires, and daddy's beer out of her grip!

Sorry about your tooth Okes. I really should get to a dentist while it's free. But having moved i am not registered around here. Something else for the growing to do list.

Right, off to polish off my bday cake before the monster stirs.
