2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

Thanks Casp - seems you will get your wish for a birthday twin, fingers crossed. Grin Isn't it your birthday tomorrow?

rollerbaby · 04/01/2011 20:27

OkieCokie · 04/01/2011 21:43

I just remembered the name of that teething oitment someone asked about (weeks ago), I think it was gasper, anyway it is Anbesol (sp). You can get it from the chemist.

CUNextTuesday · 04/01/2011 22:19

Go poll!!!

Anusol? For teething? Eyebags yes, I never knew about teething!

AlpinePony · 05/01/2011 05:04

boxer Yep, I saw that last night - what a weird little prick that man is. You really got under his skin for some reason! Wink

polly polly POLLY! Grin OMG - does this mean that the fabled FESH homebirth will finally go ahead? Shock

I've just got Boots own teething gel which I had to apply just once last night at around 2am IIRC.

Oh fuck, poor pol - just seen PESH and she was taken to hospital due to BP. :(

Will anyone ever have a planned HB?

OP posts:
AlpinePony · 05/01/2011 08:58

Polly laid a baybee girl 7lbs 5oz! Grin

Massive congratulations pol!

CUNextTuesday · 05/01/2011 09:25

Yey pol, sorry it wasn't as planned but all good and healthy. Huge congrats! And a GIRL!

CluckyKate · 05/01/2011 09:51

Laughed when I saw that thread Box - what a bunch of cocks!!!

Really thrilled you finally got your baby Pol & looking forward to hearing all the gory details.

Does not bode well for my own HB plans though.....maybe Cho & I can break the spell Hmm

AlpinePony · 05/01/2011 10:10

We have discovered the Power Of Dogs! When Bear really loses his shit - we call over big dog and immediately his face lights up and he giggles. We're fucked if she carks it! Wink

Backinthebox · 05/01/2011 11:54

Dogs are essential when you have a baby in the house, especially around weaning time when their floor cleaning skills become invaluable!

Huge congratulations to Pol. It sounds as though it didn't all go according to plan, but as we say when landing aeroplanes - any one you can walk away from is a good one. I suspect the same applies to laying babies.

Cluck you know what you need to do - get that hospital bag packed, drive the route to the hospital over and over again at different times of day to check whether anything will hold you up, go on the hospital tour, have the one-to-one de-brief with a consultant and a MW at the hospital to discuss last time and what you want this time - focussing all the time on what the hospital can provide, type up all the hospital phone numbers, chat to Little Chick about what will happen when you go to hospital, etc, etc, etc. Then sit back and wait for baby to make appearance in a manner or place that you are not prepared for! Grin Works every time.

As for the SH thing, Ski Gals, it makes me laugh every time I think about it. If you really want a good laugh, do a search and count how many times he goes on about me. What a sad tit. Seems he thinks about me waaay more than I think about him - poor chap. Anyway, on a more general skiing front, TT had a ski lesson at Christmas at the Snozone in Milton Keynes. She loved it! Which was fab as during the lesson she fell over repeatedly, had erratic steering, and struggled with the magic carpet. It was difficult to tell from the look on her face whether she was enjoying it or hating it. So ski lessons here we come on holiday! By the end of the week she will be skiing faster than us and I will no doubt be traumatised every time she skis near an edge.

Ooh - and I am now officially a Pony Club Mum! Grin

Cosmosis · 05/01/2011 12:23

yay pols!!!

Artie is 4 months today, where did time go?

He has also discovered tv. I am a bit pfbish about it and don't like him looking at it Blush

OkieCokie · 05/01/2011 12:35

Just congratulating Pols here too as it is very good news. Sounds like it was a quick one too.

Cos I don't like PFB watching TV either and he is 2. However it is a life saver when feeding PSB otherwise I get prodded in the boob while he chants "milk, milk" and my muffin top(s) get pinched. Happy 4 month birthday to Artie. Wow, four months? Peppa is 8 weeks on Friday. I can't believe it.

AlpinePony · 05/01/2011 12:43

cossie Have you seen this? www.mumsnet.com/Talk/parenting/346540-your-top-pfb-precious-first-born-moments e.g., parking outside the hospital to try new foods such as strawberries, shellfish & peanuts. HmmGrin Puts a bit of TV in to perspective!

boxer Congrats on skiing & Pony Club mum. A week's worth of camp & washing up awaits you! Have just seen this and think it's soooo cute: www.muddypuddles.com/Ski/Fleece-layers/Ski-Boot-Tee

I need to nip up the ski slopes later & get my bindings adjusted for my new boots - 10 days and counting! Grin

rollerbaby · 05/01/2011 12:55

oh polly congratulations! That is wonderful news!! I hope you are ok and are home soon! xxxxx

OkieCokie · 05/01/2011 13:03

Actually Alps mini oke has to be admitted to hospital to try certain new foods in controlled surroundings but he does have a history of reacting (and of course he is my special PFB indigo child). Next on the list is wheat and egg. It is a PITA so if there is no reason to suspect an issue then parking outside a hosiptal and feeding them peanut butter is somewhat extreme. Only at the weekend he reacted (swollen lips, rash and hives) in a restaurant to something (not sure what) despite me taking in our own cooked corn pasta for them to mix with some sauce. Anyone observing me must have a right field day as I get out my food flask asking if the chef minds making spagetti bolognaise with my own pasta that I have already cooked for my PFB..! Ahhh, fuck me that sounds totally wanky but honestly he does react badly to some foods!

Backinthebox · 05/01/2011 14:18

" A week's worth of camp & washing up awaits you"

Damn, you mean I can't just ship her off there with pony in tow and expect her back a week later, tired, happy, disciplined and educated?

AlpinePony · 05/01/2011 14:32

There are two types of Pony Club parent boxer. Those who donate land to host training days/x-country/etc. and those who have to wash up/supervise/cook/drag everyone to swimming pool/dig latrines.

OP posts:
Backinthebox · 05/01/2011 14:38

Well, that's it sorted then. They can all come to mine and the ponies can do a swamp survival tactic course. Or I can get OH to do some latrine digging. Grin

SilverSky · 05/01/2011 15:28

SilverSky · 05/01/2011 15:29
