Taxi only said -8 here, and i persuaded him down some country lanes rather than main roads Grin

Lovely evening, now off to Bedfordshire Smile

Any news of boiler mending bibi and BBBB?

blueberrysantabait · 07/12/2010 07:55

Bibi - I love Xmas Hmm our snowman but unfortunately he is currently in the garage because of ice in his motor because it is too cold for him to be outside - once he is outside and inflated again I might not.

Freezing here still - heating was on, then off then permanently on now off totally! Heating man due this morning along with the Wickes man finally coming to see me about problems we have with the kitchen they installed almost a year ago!

DD1 woke up with too much energy and had got the whole house up at 6.45 by dancing and singing through the monitor then coming in and sitting on DH's head and accidentally farting, then saying ooh is that a wee wee coming too? I have never seen him move so fast!

CrispyTheCrisp · 07/12/2010 08:38

LOL BBBB Grin

Off for another school visit today and then decision time. Last night I spoke to a couple of parents of the school whose head i didn't take to and have had my mind put at rest a lot which is great Smile. Then we have the nativity this afternoon.

Will be thinking of our Irish ladies today. Not good at all Sad

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 09:35

It's fucking freezing here. Apologies for language but seriously Hmm

best of luck with nativity little crisper!
Bbbbbbbbb hope your boiler fixed today.

Morning Grin

a couple of child free hours first time since Spain woo hoo!!!

Good luck at hairdresser bibi I am off there myself to sort out my colour and maybe talk about getting extensions in ekk!!! Been trying to grow my hair since dd2 was born and it's just not happening so it's either cut short or extensions!

It is also freezing here had heating on full blast in the car but dd2 saying "I'm hot mummy" so I had to keep turning it off and the windows would mist up [sigh]

good luck with getting heating and kitchen sorted bbbb

hope navity goes well crispy and glad u enjoyed your night out

waves to everyone

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 10:30

Bit nippy here too bibi [brrr] although the forecast is looking hopeful for some warmer weather for the weekend. Is there any news on your boiler? I expect the day it's fixed the weather will get unseasonably warm Grin

crispy hope the nativity goea well, and yay that those parents made you feel batter about the school. Am very Envy about your night out too.

bbbb hope your boiler is easier to fix than bibi's.

Am hoping to brave the road and get to the supermarket later. Managed to move the car last night so it's facing the right way on the road so should be OK to get it out I totally remembered not to try the wipers as they were welded to the windscreen, but like a twat I tried to wind the window down (so I could hear better if anything was coming) and of course I seem to have broken the mechanism Don't suppose it really matters...

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 10:31

Wotcha enya Smile you have fun at the hairdressers too. Mine is getting desperate for a cut but want a new hairdresser and don't know whuch one to choose!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 10:53

Found the camera Grin just going to let it warm up a bit though before I try and use it...

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 11:02

It works, it works, it works Grin Hip Hip Hooray Grin Off to buy a lottery ticket now...

TwilightSurfer · 07/12/2010 11:22
Smile
FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 11:32

And my window winder isn't broken after all Grin Shame someone has parked really inconsiderately in front of my car and is gonna be tricky to get it out now Hmm well it's their own fault if I scrape it

Hello ts Smile how's the temp in your part of the world today?

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 11:48

Scottish gas coming out today - I'm done waiting!

what do you think of this ladies please considering they would cost £4 each to buy never mind post and not including the cost of the actual cakes!!

hots - be careful out there on the road, my friend had a wee accident yesterday, all ok but scarey stuff for her.

My other friend's neice was born yesterday 1lb 13oz Shock wee soul.

OP posts:
BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 11:48

morning TS - some sunshine this way if you please Smile

hurrah for working camera hots Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 12:18

Othger car's moved so should be fine

At that price bibi I can't believe they don't include some cocktail sticks Shock they do look good though, and my v brief perusal of other cupcake posters shows that the postage charges are quite high so should be OK if you fancy branching out.

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 12:28

I'm just not prepared to order up a batch of these if a. they're crap and b. if people would pay what I would have to charge to post them Shock

OP posts:
maisyandpandulce · 07/12/2010 13:59

yeah, how much do your brownies cost to post? Cupcakes probably the same weight, so you could estimate p&p costs.

How about ordering doing a valentines or easter day promotion and get the orders in early then you know if you will have enough to make it worth your while. People spend ridiculous amounts of money on valentines day so, for example 25GBP for 12 personalised cupcakes would be fine I think. Not that I would spend this much, but I think that people might.

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 14:04

brownies are £4.50 to post because of the weight of them. If I get them in under the kilo then they're £3.35 but that rarely happens.

Shall give it some more thought once I've got Christmas passed Smile

Tree has arrived, ice included and is now dripping all over the living room floor.

blueberrysantabait · 07/12/2010 14:15

Bibi if you leave it a few hours you will have an indoor skating rink! Xmas Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 15:45

Hurrah for trees Grin, sent DH to homebase for ours today too. Will have to wait a little while to put it up though .

Survived Asda with MIL and now have enough wine food to last another week or so Smile

blueberrysantabait · 07/12/2010 15:47

Bugger - still no heating bloke!

BibiBelle · 07/12/2010 16:24

New boiler going to cost £2.5k & won't be installed till Mon

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 07/12/2010 16:37

How much????? Shock. And HOW feckin long??? Is there anywhere you can go and camp for a week as this is no weather for no heating?

Sad

Sorry to hear yours is progressing no quicker either BBBB

DD1 was fab in the play and was all giggles and smiles Smile.

No closer to a decision on schools. I thought i wouldn't really like the one this morning, but did. Alot. . Think i may start a thread on here later to ask advice from teachers and parents as to pros and cons

Yay for camera hots. Did you get the one i hhave in the end? I have to say, mine is pretty indestructible

FjorgynAndHotWater · 07/12/2010 16:43

bibi if WHEN I win £2 million quid on the lottery tomorrow I'll shower you in new boilers Smile (prob best not to cancel this on though, just in case...)

crispy it's similar to yours although not the same. The waterproofing part obviously works well anyway, thank goodness. It had moss and leaves welded to it when I unearthed it from under a bush but no damage done, hurrah Grin

Silkstalkings · 07/12/2010 17:21

Crispy is gthere a deadline for your schools or are they too posh for that?

Bibi Can your insurance help with the boiler? Would your dad donate towards alternative accommodation? Would this be any help? Or www.eastfifeletting.co.uk/property-details.aspx?propID=P1027&startdate=&nights= They'll be desperate, you could negotiate and plea for pity.
Re cake boxes, worth getting some for promotional purposes, getting them to wedding planners/brides etc. You should have a look at doing a stand at any local wedding or baby fayres next year.

BBBB 'Ooh is that a wee too?' PMSLGrin.

santashappychick · 07/12/2010 18:06
