Haha cece, we are braving our local retail hell this morning too Xmas Hmm Not sure what we're thinking tbh but there's an M&S voucher burning a hole in the family pocket.

lol at your DH's flying takeaway Xmas Grin

Got the ILs popping by later on which will be nice :) I might throw on some Christmas music (DH and DS currently listening to Fugazi Grin). We put our little tree up yesterday and some tinsel etc., feel most festive now.

Fjorg hope DS and everyone have recovered from yakking/malaise?

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 10:48

we're supposed to be going to get the tree this morning but DH still in bed. I'm all in favour of a lie in but I also like to take advantage of a child free morning and get some stuff done Hmm

we're fecking freezing. The girls are at a friends house and we went to the pics last night to keep warm. Got some presents wrapped last night too so that's another box half ticked!

I swear this heater is blowing cold air at me Hmm

Hello all Smile

DS much better today, after a further episode of Mr Creosote-like projectile vomming yesterday afternoon. Thank fuck for wooden floors... They are both going absolutely mental so think we'll need to take them for a big walk in a minute and leave them in the woods

Snow slowly melting but my road is still like ice so we have had to cancel plans to go to a birthday party in York this afternoon Sad

star you are very brave / a big fool (delete as appropriate) for attempting a retail park today Shock

bibi hope they fix your boiler soon Smile

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 05/12/2010 13:57

Bibi a childfree morning eh? I can think of other ways to keep warm Xmas Wink

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 14:55

Star, he was apparently texting me to go back up but I don't get a signal in the house ROFL!! He's off to work now lol

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 05/12/2010 14:58

star i think that it what MrBibi is hinting at Grin

Glad DS is on the mend fjorn, how weird with the vomming Confused

DH has gone out to buy another set of Xmas tree lights as neither of us liked the white halogen ones we ended up with last year. I have artistically thrown draped them over the beams and they look fab. Shame DD2 decided to poo in her pants at that exact time Hmm. She is 100% using the potty for wees at home. Not quite got it when out and about yet, but never mind, she'll get there....

I am sitting down with a cuppa and X-Factor recorded last night. I will look busy again when i hear DH drive down the lane BlushGrin

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/12/2010 14:59

LOL X-post. Soooooooo predictable Grin

blueberrysantabait · 05/12/2010 15:26

Crispy - we seem to be in similar situations - DH has been sent out to replace the blue tree lights he bought last year which I hated with some pretty plain coloured ones, no flashing/singing/dancing ones - would anyone like to take bets on that he will arrive back with some appalling singings dancing flashing inflatable for the gardens? DD2 sleeping in her new room, DD1 watching Peppa pig Christmas on the iPad and I am watching Cupcake Wars Xmas Hmm.

CaptainCaveman · 05/12/2010 16:27

well town wasn't too bad and I got what I went in for Grin

Dh failed to get the washing out of the machine though Hmm. Still, he's nice and he cooks my tea so I'll let him off Grin

bb when will the heating be fixed? Did you watch a film at the cinema or just sit in the foyer near the heater Wink?

Northern/midlanders are we still on for a week tomorrow?

CaptainCaveman · 05/12/2010 16:27

bbbb is he back with the gaudy lights yet?

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 05/12/2010 16:29

Still on for me CC Xmas Smile weather permitting, of course Xmas Hmm

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 16:38

Cece - not sure, the boy is hoping for the part tomorrow but my dad is doing his dinger and wanting us to get a new boiler fitted by British Gas We went to see harry Potter Smile

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 05/12/2010 19:42

Yes *cece8 Smile. Weather permitting too!

star - can you remind me of the books you linked to for DH's Xmas pressie. I thought i had added it to my Amazon basket, but clearly not Hmm. Thankyou Smile

How was HP bibi? Worth going to the cinema for (if you weren't needing defrosting that is?)

New lights bought, tree decorated, roast chicken eaten Smile

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 19:54

I enjoyed it Crisp - then again I am under a blanket enjoying Fred Claus HmmGrin

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 05/12/2010 19:55

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 19:57

Are your girls back home and school open tomorrow?

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 20:03

schools are in fact open hurrah! Just as well as I need to get back on track with some paper work, housework, inlaws arriving on thurs

OP posts:
blueberrysantabait · 05/12/2010 20:37

CrispyTheCrisp · 05/12/2010 20:46

You must be so proud BBBB Grin

bibi glad your girls are home with you Smile. Hope you get something sorted for the boiler, repair or replace, but go with your instincts.

Amazon shop done, so girls and DH sorted . Thanks for the info star but the explorer one was out of stock Sad. I have ordered it anyway and will put away for his birthday Grin

Had a big argument with my sis today Sad. Went from me being too flaky over arrangements to not being flaky enough. [need an I give up emoticon]. Biscuit maybe?

aBrightStarWithFestiveWays · 05/12/2010 21:13

Boo to arguments with siblings Crisp :(

BibiBelle · 05/12/2010 21:16

ROFL BBBB - loving it as long as it's not at my house Grin

that's pants about the argument with your sister Crisps. I told DB yesterday that Dad keeps going on about coming up here for Xmas and if it's not the right weather he has to invite him round there - we'll seeHmm

UrsulaUndress · 05/12/2010 21:21

Oh heeeeeeeeere you all are! All decorating your trees and eating roast chicken and whatnot. We have no tree, was not planning till next weekend, am now feeling rather unfestive and Envy of you lot. Your deco sounds v nice bbbb, I bet you are glad to have your room back. Bibi I'm glad you lot are alive! Sorry you are freezing your arses off though. We saw HP yesterday too, wasn't it grim? Usually they are leavened with a bit of humour. Enjoyed it, though we peaked in our addiction circa Goblet of Fire.

We are in a slow thaw, school is open in the morning and our broadband is back. Huzzah! Budget on Tuesday. Pah! Childminder able to come again. Huzzah! Work tomorrow. Pah! run out of huzzahs & pahs now.

UrsulaUndress · 05/12/2010 21:22

Sweet Mother of the Divine, bbbb! The girls will love it, I bet! Grin

Crisps sorry you fell out Sad. I don't think you are one bit flaky.
