Wow, what lovely news that there are so many new thread babies in the offing. Many congrats! Has Q o D's baby arrived yet? (Sorry, not quite identified all new names yet...).

I've always remembered the New England clapperboard house on an early Grand Designs silk and even looked at their website. Would take far too long though and further complicate an already complicated situation so we're not going for an interesting 'grand design' but more as much house as we can manage now, B&Q kitchen and fittings but designed with the aim to tart it up later when funds/time/energy allow. We v. nearly didn't go for the plot at all because we thought it would be wrong not to do something interesting, but then we realised we need somewhere to live...

Nice day here, BF and her son came over to veg and are now having a sleepover. She's tidied my kitchen and is just upstairs reading stories now, is so nice having a wife.

We FINALLY have some snow. Right now......

I want a wife too She could clear up the mess I made in the kitchen making DH's birthday cake! We were going out to dinner somewhere posh but the ILs have called in sick and we have no sitter for the girls so it's takeaway and the new season of 2 and a half men for excitement.

We are moving DD2 into her own bedroom this weekend - I think we are disturbing her when we go to bed - she is usually sleeping soundly until I open the door then she stir and cries for a feed. I also feel I need a little space back to read in bed and just hide when I need too - is that bad of me?

Crispy - I did not envy your trip taking 2 girls to the market.

we are getting fecking snow here too .. after nothing all week and i am about whether we will make our trip tom!

Big settling stuff here, although apparently rain once you go down into the valleys so i suspect it will not last

Very strange night last night, DH went to bed at 9pm as he was feeling rather unwell, and at the same time DS decided he wasn't sleepy and got out of his sleeping bag and came downstairs. Someone please remind me NEVER to give him calpol at bedtime again anyway we watched a film, DS threw up all over the sofa, then we did some dancing and went to bed at 11.30pm. DD only woke up at 7.30 this morning and everyone seems fine today thank goodness.

enya happy travels, snow seems to be melting this morning after a bucketload again last night

star how's your bruising today? Dh also went arse over tit on the way home from the pub last night. Going up an alley and some kids had made a slide, which had then got covered in snow again. Dh and his friend apparently went sprawling with their chinese takeaways flying up in the air . Shame I was at home and didn't get to see it

DD2 moved into her own yesterday So we popped to John Lewis to buy new curtains for her room and ended up buying DD1 new curtains too. We turned an empty not so fab room into an amazing nursery - it is what I dreamed of for DD1 but we never had the space or the money to do it. We have our room back to ourselves and nothing is squashed into corners anymore but stupidsly I went ot bed to read last night and didn't have a book

Had a lovely evening last night 2 lots of neighbours came over and we ended up playing games, eating and drinking lots and writing a lonely hearts advert. I am sure this morning our neighbour will look at the scribbled upon napkin and go 'WTF'???

Bought our tree yesterday so will be decorating that today plus making some vintage looking paper chains with the DD's

DDs are currently watching A ristocats and eating bowls of salad

Ooh, hello BBBB. Lovely news on DD2's room . Grrrrr re book. I have a pile by my bed as my neighbour buys them from the car boot sale, passes them to me and i give them to the charity shop!

Yes thank you for that - she was very very excited and has asked me to read the card endlessly and carries it around in her 'handbag'. She is holding you to another visit! I have just started re-readin a book I'm not sure I took in whilst feeding in those early days! We went to Westonbirt last night, it was all magical and snowy - simply stunning.

. I must try and fit that in.....

Morning! We didn't manage town yesterday, we did something far worse. Dh decided to come too, so we all went to the local hellhole retail park. Needless to say we didn't get what we wanted, O had a meltdown and we queued for ages just to get out . So I might try a lone trip into town today.

Tree went up yesterday at ds1s insistence. Now O keeps ripping the baubles off and throwing them into the tree
