16 - god! makes even me feel old and she's not my daughter. she looks like a really lovely girl (just my feeling from seeing her pics)

'what a hoot' is gorgeous tsc works for both frankles and clara too.

good idea re vouchers. we did similar for F previously - put various things on his xmas and birthday lists in prep for doing up his new room as he had plenty of toys etc.

enjoy the hand-holding Smile

dh and i were biatches to each other y'day. no real reason but all loved up again now, thankfully. just hate days like that where its: bad driving, bicker, peel veg for dinner, bicker, nappy needs changing, bicker etc. i get all school marmish and holier than tho cos i'm good at that 'communicating and being assertive not aggressive' shit - which winds men the fuck up Grin

stac14 · 06/12/2010 15:06

we are fecking snowed in again!!! hate this weather, need formula and cant get out to get it, dp stuck at work and will have to walk home. why in this day and age does the place come to a standstill over a bit of fecking snow!! ds isnt well again too,he has the skits and his asthma is acting up. glad i didnt send them cos they were all sent home. sorry rant over

enjoy your day out tsc

hows everyone elsec today? xx

DesperateHousewife21 · 06/12/2010 15:47

Birds Eye have sent me £10 vouchers for that maggot I found in my peas. So generous...

Ive been sent a sample of Heinz baby porridge. Thats 3 samples Ive got now, enough for about 4 weeks apparently.
So if I do give him the porridge Ive read thet only have a couple of spoonfuls at first, can I use the same packet for like a week, or do I have to chuck the packet away once its opened even though hes eaten barely 2 spoonfuls?

memphis83 · 06/12/2010 15:56

dh you dont have to throw it away just put it in a airtight tupperware tub

been to see santa today with my mum we are going again at the weekend with dh! was a lovely one, he held him chatting away for about 20 mins, and showing him the tree and lights, L loved it, suppose thats the great thing about going in the week when kids are at school, it was only £2.50 in debenhams and it goes to charity, got a lovely Christmas carol book too which L proceeded to eat!!

Chulita · 06/12/2010 16:48

dh I used to peg it and stick it in the cupboard - it's never done DD any harm
cake L's still doing her little chatter, so cute! The best Hmm was last night she started crying at about 10.30pm 'where mummy, where mummy?' I rolled out of bed and opened her door 'theresheis!' and that was all she wanted. Funny but incredibly annoying!
Sam is not the baby he was. He doesn't want to settle at night now...not sure why. He also had a 3 hour nap this afternoon, and DD had a 4.5 hour nap Shock She's teething but I'm still f*d tonight aren't I...

DesperateHousewifeIsXmasCrazy · 06/12/2010 17:04

HA! Thanks chulita is someone tasty on?

memphis Im ashamed to say I have not one airtight tub. Keep meaning to get some.

New smileys Xmas Smile

memphis83 · 06/12/2010 20:06

dh i bet my dh would love me to have no airtight tubs, most women have a show fetish, a love of bags mine is tupperware, im slightly obsessed! i have a whole kitxhen cupboard full and having a weaning baby means i have now got a draw of mini tubs too!!
tried mango for L tonight he loved it, its so funny watching him eat fruit he shudders with a big smile on his face!
got that woman from the support group coming tomorrow im feeling a bit nervous about it if im honest!

MyLifeIsFeelingFestive · 06/12/2010 20:29

HA. Jusy because I'm on holiday you don't think you've got rid of me that easily do you?

CrimboCakeandRoses · 06/12/2010 21:40

stac14 · 06/12/2010 22:25

sure you'll be fine memphis let us know how you get on

hows the hols mliff

CrimboCakeandRoses · 06/12/2010 23:29

gosh, we've been quiet today!

quiet evening in, ostensibly watching Dexter box set with DH but actually doing xmas shopping online as i'm starting to panic a little.

felt quite perky today. had reasonable sleep and both children were utterly lovely. such a difference to last week when i could have cheerfully ebayed them both. just shows how up and down it all is with young'uns. Bear

No chance of me dropping A's dream feed. she's been waking up for it like clockwork at 11pm!

good luck memphis, once you get this first meeting out of the way, it'll be great for you, i'm sure. let us know how it goes.

ok mlic Xmas Smile, hows it going? missing us all yet?

chulita that sounds crap re S's evenings. hopefully it's 'just a phase'

4.5 hour nap?! you fool!! Xmas Grin

CrimboCakeandRoses · 06/12/2010 23:30

dh £10 is a joke!

Chulita · 07/12/2010 07:50

Hope you're having fun mliff (that's so easily typed as milf...)
Well, I nurofened S before popping him in bed and he slept til 10, then 2.30 then woke at 6 so it was a brilliant night. It's all going to go to pot tonight though cos he's got his 2nd round of jabs in a couple of hours :(
I'm trying not to be on mn quite as much, feel like I'm ignoring DD a lot more than I should Blush
needle did G's lump go down quickly?

DesperateHousewifeIsXmasCrazy · 07/12/2010 08:48

cake yeah I know! Its not even a £10 cheque, its vouchers to spend on more birds eye.

Dylan gets really irate if he drops a toy until I give it back to him.

Ok we're having to change the date of the wedding to a week earlier, so the 17th June.
This is because the reception venue we REALLY want is booked on the 24th for a policeman's annual golf match Hmm
I suppose this will please my sister who is having a baby on the 30th June as she will more likely be able to come.
Ive got to phone the registry office in a min to make sure they have the 17th free, they charge £20 for this pleasure too.

HAHA sorry really funny thing, Dylan was shouting, I turned around and he had his teether just sitting on his face! Oh god that looked so funny Grin

Oh and he woke up at 10:30, 1:30, 4:30, 6ish and 8ish.

CrimboCakeandRoses · 07/12/2010 08:57

dh i reckon you'd get more money selling your 'story' to one of those crappy weekly mags.

Chulita · 07/12/2010 09:20

dh the 17th is probably just as good as the 16th which is an excellent day to get married Grin
and we're off for S's jabs :( I just know I'm going to cry [big wimp]

CrimboCakeandRoses · 07/12/2010 09:27

good luck s (and chulita!)

stac14 · 07/12/2010 09:44

hope your ok today memphis. as cakes said once you get this initial one out of the way you'll be fine.
that sounds like things are on the up for you cake!
better night here too. dp ended up sleeping in the spare room as he was so tired from being up most of the night before. she started whimpering at about half 12 and he got so mad and stormed out into the spare room grumbling that she was going into her own room this week. i didnt mind as i was that tired i was glad of the bed to myself and i knew it was just the tiredness talking. he came in full of apologies this morning to me and her! but she didnt wake up all night after that. i think it was half 8 this morn she was whimpering so i just brought her into the bed for a cuddle before we went down for bottle and we fell back asleep til 10:15. i couldnt believe it. so hopefully thats my lazy baby back again. but chances are she'l be back to the same tonight so not getting my hopes up. she woke up with very red cheeks and is chomping on her teether. actually just on the teether thing the one she seems to love the most is these. very easy to hold and when she's not chomping on the keys she chews on the ring.
pretty much snowed in here. need to go to the post office and there's not a chance of me getting in. so suppose i'm in for the day and thats it.
Irish budget is being announced this evening so will make very depressing listening i'm sure. The whole country is dreading it.

You know what tsc? if i had a baby who wouldn't take a bottle and cluster feeds as much a F then I'd be inclined to mix blw and porridge/puree as you've done before. It's worked for you before so you won't have to faff around working out something new when you've already got enough on your plate - plus you might get more into him quicker with a spoon.

Once F has got a better grip with a spoon then you could always start putting the porridge on a spoon and letting him feed himself. I'll see if I can see any pics of when my F was able to do that but from memory i don't think it was that old.

Just seen a pic from June 09 so F was 8 months by then but i remember he'd been doing it for a while before that so maybe 7 months. Tis very messy tho - I'll put the pic on fb so you can see!

memphis83 · 07/12/2010 12:35

afternoon ladies, support worker was lovely, she was here for 2 hours, went though everything, i start the group on the 19th of january it will be a maximum of 10 mums, she will be there, and a hv every week for the 8 weeks, we discuss a different topic every week, and at the end they arrange a reunion for a month after it finishes, on the 1st week a nurse is there if you want to discuss anything like medication, they provide food and drink and a private creche for free, if i dont want to drive they will also supply a taxi, they also have 1 evening session for the men to help them understand how you feel! feeling so positive!!
L slept for 7 til 6 last night, dh kept checking he was ok! didnt go to zumba i was too warm and cosy in the house!! will start after x mas!!! mums got my car so im stranded, i was going to walk the couple of miles to town but i cant be bothered!!
