Hello

I haven't even lurked for months and months but wanted to come on and wish you all a Happy 2011.

SOL I am so sorry to hear about your mum. My thoughts are with you and your dad.

It's nice to see some new babies are on the way for some of you lovely April mums. I hope things got smoothly for you all.

Filled out G's school application last night. Can not believe that before the end of 2011 my baby will be at school! Iris is going great guns. Walking, talking and marmelising anything she can get her hands on (half a pot of Decleor night cream this morning, living room wall on Monday) if she weren't so darn cute and loving I'd be tearing my hair out.

As I said earlier, I wish you all a happy, healthy, peaceful 2011. I may even pop on a bit more Smile

Booked a holiday in North Wales at Easter and something else in the offing, let you know more when I do (a hoilday thing) but it will be a surprise & secret - but I can trust you guys Wink

Meant to say that O is still in her 5-point seat as she only weighs 13kg. I'm hoping she'll have put on 2kg by Sept so that she can be in a booster before she goes to school, but she's pretty tiny for her age (and still with dinky feet - size 6 now!).

Sexonlegs · 09/01/2011 22:21

Hi guys

Oooh I love a secret :)

Bramshott, bless O! I am not sure how much K weighs tbh, but she is now in a booster seat - one with a high back as opposed to just a seat iyswim.

How is everyone doing?

We had more sad news today. DH's uncle died this afternoon :( He was 59. He was diagnosed with melanoma about 3 months ago, and it had spread to his brain. Dreadful.

Mum's funeral is on Tuesday. Dreading it.

Anyway, love to all.

Eddas · 09/01/2011 22:32

Hi everyone, please excuse me if I miss anyone but I wanted to come and post as lots of things have happened to you lovely ladies lately,

Dooby, congratulations Smile

SOL, I'm so sorry to hear about your mum, I have been reading but didn't know what to say. Unfortunately I know almost exactly what you are going through and it breaks my heart. You've been so strong through it all. I hope Tuesday goes as well as it can. Am sat hear with tears in my eyes and just don't know what else to saySad

ScarletBandit · 10/01/2011 09:38

SOL, I haven't been on here in a little while and was so very sorry to come back and read about your mum.
I can't even begin to imagine how you feel, life is just so unfair.
I hope the funeral tomorrow goes as well as it can, you are a strong lady and you will get through it.
Hope your dad is managing day to day, my thoughts are with you all xxx

Leaky, lovely to see you Smile

Dooby, congratulations! Rubbish about the move, but the baby news is fab Smile

Not much happening here today, I am having one of those down days (although I feel a bit of a fraud coming here and saying that with what has happened recently to some of you ladies).

CaptainDippy · 10/01/2011 12:51

Awwwwww, dinky DD2 Bramshott Smile My sweet little DD2 was like that; but other 2 are fairly average, perhaps a little short for their age (they get that from me). The Phoebmeister is a size 9 shoe, in 4-5 clothes and on a booster in the car like her big sisters. I noticed the other day that she is losing her Baby Chub Sad Booooo! My wickle girlie is getting biiiiig - Waaaaah! Wink

Will be thinking of you and your family tomorrow SOL my love. You will get through this. Just be strong for your dad Smile Are either of your DDs going to the funeral? Guess Becky's a bit titchy, but it might be helpful for Katie? It will be 13 years since I lost my wonderful foster dad on Wed. I miss him every day.

Ah DippySad
SB Really hope you feel brighter soon...don't think the grey days help do they?
Hi to all and thanks for congrats.
SOL...Thinking of you all.xxxx

Sexonlegs · 10/01/2011 16:09

Hiya :)

SB, thank you lovely :)

Dooby, glad you are feeling better. How is the house move going?

Dippy, hugs to you.

Hope everyone else is ok.

The funeral will be just me, dad and my brother. That's all Mum wanted, and then we will have a memorial service in the Spring.

It will be quite hard with just the 3 of us. My brother and I are both staying over tonight with Dad which will be lovely. I imagine a gin and tonic may be on the cards!

oooggs · 10/01/2011 19:26

wow SOL I haven't heard of a funberal being done that way before, sounds lovely and intimate and a memorial service for everyone else sounds a nice as they can be!

Hope you all stay strong for each other, especially tomorrow x

Erin and Jack are very different in size. They are both tall but Jack is in 4-5 and Erin in 3-4. Jack went into a highbacked booster 1st as he went over the weight range for the 5 point harness one. Erin is also in a highbacked booster but she was later. The are so excited about being 4 in March, I am in shock!!!!!

It has been raining for days and I am sick of it, it makes everything harder especially the school run Angry

MJ - head up chick & thinking of you - I hate grey days!

dooby - hope you aren't getting sickness

Bramshott · 11/01/2011 09:56

Thinking of you and your dad and brother today SOL. Hope it goes okay.

Doobydoo · 11/01/2011 19:54

Also thinking of you today SOLxx

Sexonlegs · 11/01/2011 19:59

Thank you so much for your thoughts.

Well, the funeral went well, as bizarre as that sounds.

It was incredibly tough and emotional, and I have to say I wasn't very brave, and went to pieces. I think I had been in denial and had just got on and kept busy. And then, crashed.

I just cannot believe that is it :(

Anyway, tomorrow is another day.

I really hope everyone is doing ok. xx

Northernlurker · 11/01/2011 21:00

Oh Claire that's not it - you love your mum and she loved you and that isn't ever going to be over because it's part of who you are. I suppose though that this was the big last official thing you had to do for her and you've done it well. Going to pieces is what the funeral is for. Well done. NOw look after you - and your dad and your family - but make some time for you as well.

StealthPolarStuckSpaceBar · 11/01/2011 21:49

Glad it went well SOL, and agree with NL that that's what the funeral is for. Plus I suppose you've been focussing on arranging everything and sorting everything out and that's all done now
Wish there was something I could say or do

cazboldy · 11/01/2011 22:52

Just wanted to say how sorry I am SOl xxxxxx

Doobydoo · 12/01/2011 07:48

Agree with NL SOL.Now try to be good to yourself...cliche but one day at a time.xxxxxx
