SOL, I am really glad that yesterday went well. Going to pieces is normal, I would have been the same.
I think the time that follows is worse because you have been so busy caring for your mum, then organising the funeral the way she wanted it, but now I can imagine things are just empty.
You will get through this time with the happy memories you all have of your wonderful mum. She was a brave lady to cope with her treatment, and I am sure she will be incredibly proud of you.
I am of the belief that no-one ever truly leaves us, and I am sure she is around you every day with a hand on your shoulder for support.
You have my mobile number if you ever want to chat or text. Thinking of you xx

leakyR · 13/01/2011 20:31

Hi again

SOL I agree with the others that funerals are there for you to remember the person who has passed and to release your feelings. It's normal to go to pieces when you've been so brave and together for for so long.

G is still in a 5 point seat. He only weighs 13.5 kg and is still just a size 6.5 shoe, 2-3yrs trousers (adjustable waists essential). I think Iris will be bigger, but only just.

Oooggs - because I applied online I should get an email on April 14th about school places, the day before the letters go out here.

Iris has an ear and upper respiratory infection. She's hot, snotty and clingy - hoping ABs kick in quickly. Confined to barracks last week with poorly George - I go stir crazy if we can't get out and about!

Popping by with some of these

oooggs · 14/01/2011 18:20

yes dooby - you would think that with twins I wouls be used to doing things with children at the same time but I am not looking forward to tonight or the next couple of days!!!!

Doobydoo · 17/01/2011 08:10

Morning all.
SOL..Hope you are bearing up.xx
Oooggs how are the invalids and you?

Am going to work wed for official terminationof contract as nowt on horizon within trust and cannot go on for 12 weeks with no money.Dp will look for work as don't think anyone would employ me at the mo.
Looking to transfer ds1 to local Grammar..we have to go to appealpanel on 26th.Feel like the crappest parent in universe but can't afford to take him to Grantham if not working and dp can't be available for full time work if taking ds1 to school so far away.We are swapping the car for cheaper one so if ds1 dosen't go to local school we can still get hm to his school. but dp will have to see what work he can get Know it sounds bonkers but local school prob better in long run.Wish we had benefit of hindsight.
Started bleeding on Sat and went to hosp yesterday.Cervix closed and to have scan, hopefully today,am waiting for them to phone.
Hope all are trucking on ok.
xx

ScarletBandit · 17/01/2011 16:20

Hope all is ok with scan Dooby. You are having a really tough time of things lately. Thinking of you xx

Oooggs, how are the spotty ones?! Hope you are coping ok, one ill at any one time is enough, so having two must be very tough going.

SOL, think about you most days, hope you are doing ok xx

Not much going on here, worked last night and not much sleep today so am looking forward to my bed tonight!!

Doobydoo · 17/01/2011 18:32

Thanks SB,Enjoy your well earned sleep!
Scan 8.30 tomorrow.Had lots of abdominal and pelvic pain and blood and clots so am fairly sure.I have always thought that if something is going to happen I would rather this side of 12 weeks than the other.I know what it is like to be the other side and now I have the boys obviously want to protect them...no one except you lot and dp and my sister knows.Have to see what they say.

oooggs · 17/01/2011 19:25

spotty & dotty are very slowly getting better and last night was better, just!!!! Tomorrow will be trying as 3 little ones home all day and can't go out due to pox and Erin keeps pretending to be poorly as she is feeling left out Hmm

Doobydoo · 17/01/2011 19:31

oooggs · 17/01/2011 19:43

lol doobs - I was reading Jack a 'harry and the dinsaurs book' and James was correcting my misprounciation of the dino words Shock

Doobydoo · 17/01/2011 21:42

Grin OOOGGS It is frightening isn't it?
I am amazed at ds1 he is naturally good at everything.I was never like that at look at him in amazement sometimes.I find it fascinating.
He just got top marks in science test[on reproduction of all things]..despite the fact he has been off school for a while and did little revision and he knows he may be moving school....DS2 is very different,he can laugh at himself and is rather theatrical
..

oooggs · 18/01/2011 10:18

dooby - are you ok? how did the scan go?

Doobydoo · 18/01/2011 10:25

Doobydoo · 18/01/2011 14:16
