Quick hi!

Crazy week; first half up in North East with family. I love 'em but by the time I got back on Thursday I was reminded why i like living 150 miles away! Too much drama! Db and partner split last August (just after his dd turned 1) and since then his life has been like a soap opera that my poor mum gets dragged into because he's living with her atm.
She really doesn't need it. I find the stress exhausting.
Have had a lovely weekend, Elmer the Elephant at theatre on Friday, Iris loved it! Was worried she'd shout or fidget but she was mesmerised.Dh took ds to football on Saturday and dd and I went to soft play. Today a bit more low key but George has been a pain. After a week on grandparents and fun and attention he has been so demanding, whingy and cheeky. Where did that come from?

Ok so not at all quick Grin

Oooggs i hope things get better soon Counselling could be just what you need.

Bramshott · 28/02/2011 12:39

Pah - pre-school is unexpectedly closed today for some reason. It's a lovely pre-school, but they are crap at organisational stuff like actually telling us they are going to be closed Hmm.

oooggs · 01/03/2011 20:58

hi ladies - phone call today about a telephone chat so they can establish the right councelling!!!! (sp?) that was quick Shock

Bramshott · 02/03/2011 09:39

That's good news Oooggs. Now make sure you are honest and don't say things like "of course I'm fine really" Wink.

Urggh - feeling exhausted here. Does anyone else find their nearly 4 yr old really hard work at the moment?! I thought this was when it started to get easier!

CaptainDippy · 02/03/2011 12:52

Hope it does some real good for you Ooooggs Smile LOL@ Bramshott WinkGrin

Also hope it does the trick Oooggs.
M is on a strict gluten, wheat and dairy free diet for one month[which is nice] Hmm.He has had blood taken[he was v brave] but he has been prety much gluten free for ages[well wheat free anyway] but Consultant said there may be indicators from Blood test as a person is supposed to be eating gluten before they have the test,
We are moving Friday and back on line 24th Marchish so I hope you will all be ok.
xx

oooggs · 02/03/2011 18:12

2 pieces of Sad news today ....

Firstly my lovely foster mum has had a DX of Atrial Fibrillation, which, for a very amazing, very busy lady, is a massive blow. She is struggling to know what to do as she has been told she needs to slow right down. She has give herself an electric shock to put her heart back into rhythm when it strays and it really is all a bit much for her to cope with right now. Sad

Also, thoughts and prayers needed for the sister of a very dear DF who was involved in a horrible road accident on Sat night. She is currently in a chemically induced coma to see how well her body can heal itself. As it stands, she has bleeding in the brain and a clot in her spine sad She is only 31, has a DH of ten yrs and girls of 5 & 7 Sad

ScarletBandit · 02/03/2011 21:05

Dippy, so sorry to hear all your news. Thoughts are with each of them tonight xx

I went to see my aunt on Monday but unfortunately I was too late. Got a call on the way to the airport that she had passed away during the early hours.
I was very upset but went up anyway and saw my other family. She was still in the hospice so I did go over to see her and say goodbye, I just wish I could have been there a little earlier.

Anyway, take care all, going to bed soon as working tomorrow.

Doobydoo · 03/03/2011 08:03

I feel like things are going from bad to worse here just now. We have just found out that another aunt, this time on my mums side, has cancer and needs urgent surgery on her spine or she faces paralysis.
What on earth is going on? Sad

Dippy, how are things with your foster mum and your friend's sister?

Oooggs, how are you today? Hope you are feeling ok x

SadSorry to hear everyone's sad news. Love and prayers to all that need them.

Weekend was mixed, lovely to have dh home briefly before he left again for work in Warsaw, but I had some kind of stomach bug/flu type thing. Feel tons better now [relieved emoticom]

Luce it boggles my mind to think our babies will be at school in 6 months time ShockGrin

ScarletBandit · 08/03/2011 11:46

Hi all.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

I went to the funeral of my aunt yesterday. It was a tough day but all went as well as these things can. Glad to be back home now.

My other aunt has had her surgery and things are looking ok so far. She is still waiting to find out the extent of her disease and treatment options, but for now things are not too bad thankfully.

That's it from me for now. See you later xx

Bramshott · 08/03/2011 17:50

Glad it went okay SB.

Can I drag the conversation back to the frivolous but vital topic of birthdays if that's not too crass? Most importantly, what are we getting for our 4 year olds to celebrate the great event?

I have ordered an Ocean in my Pocket Coral Reef playset that I know O will love (there was some dissapointment when Father Christmas did not bring her Ocean in my Pocket as desired, but instead the Puppy in my Pocket she had asked for 2 months previously Blush), but I'd like to get her something else too. Lacking in inspiration though . . .

StealthPolarBear · 08/03/2011 17:53

So sorry to hear everyone's news. SB glad the funeral was OK. Dippy, how is your FM and your friend's sister?

Bramshott - so far all we have got T is a bog Roald Dahl book. I get so caught up int he cake and the CBeebies card I forget about presents :o
Think he will be getting a big woody (oo er) and a Fireman Sam engine which technically won't be for his birthday but will be for stopping breastfeeding - wish me luck!

Eddas · 08/03/2011 18:16

sorry to hear all the bad news Sad I hope everyone is as ok as they can beSmile

Bramshott, I've been thinking bdays too but have no clue what to get ds for a present, which is so sad at the grand old age of 4! I think being the 2nd child means you have lots from the first child already, even though he has an older sister.

The one thing he has mentioned a few times I can't get. He wants figures from a cartoon he loves but it's one of those that isn't popular so all that I can find is a dvd of it.

Inspiration for presents would be fab.

Now if it were dd I could find lots to get for her, but she'll have to wait til June Grin

StealthPolarBear · 08/03/2011 18:24

it's not everything;s rosie is it? DS wants raggles - you have reminded me. Must look to see if available now
