Hello!!

Very Envy of the Wine

Have read nothing I'm afraid but have been avoiding posting because there was so much to catch up on so have decided to post anyway and keep up from here on in iyswim?!

Also not managing to keep up with my July '11 thread, it is HUGE! I guess MN has got a lot bigger over the last 4 years.

All going ok here. Still being sick every morning and feeling sick in evenings but a lot better than I was and have managed to stop taking tablets now too which is good. Hips getting bad again but still preferable to hyperemisis so I don't mind!

Dylan seems to have suddenly grown up a lot over the last month or 2, don't know if thats an age thing or just him? He is being particularly lovely at the moment though and trying very hard to be good and helpful Smile Also for the first time ever is very happy to go to playschool and I have to chase him for a kiss goodbye when he gets in there in the mornings. Still says he doesn't want to go first thing but once we've dropped the older dc at school he can't wait to get there Grin He used to hate the seperation before and I often had to leave him crying so loving the new confident him!!!

DD being very teenagery atm, practising her sarcasm skills to full effect Hmm Generally very confident, popular and happy of late though which is improvement on a couple years ago.

DS1 not doing so well, really struggling with transition to junior school. Have meeting with his teachers (they job share so 2 of them) Monday lunchtime. Am going to ask for him to be assessed by school SENco as he's been having extra help to try and bridge the gap between his reading and writing levels since start of yr2 an no ones come up with any suggestions as to why there is such a big gap (in Sept when he was 7.1 his writing age was a below his actual age, they didn't tell me exactly what I don't think, but his reading age was 9.5). The more I think about it the more other things I think of that are not quite right about him iyswim. Hopefully we're on our way somewhere with it all now anyway.

I only meant to write a short 'brief summary' type post but have ended up prattling on again as always!

I hope all is well with everyone else and their families. Will try and keep up from this point onwards now I promise and check in regularly so I can write posts about other people for once!! Blush

oooggs · 05/02/2011 14:18

pesha - great to see you, I struggle with the Feb 09 threads, they are bigger than this ever was. I also find this easy as some of us have met and we have been through and supported each other so much

dh off to work soon, story of my life [tut]

ScarletBandit · 05/02/2011 23:23

Evening ladies.

Thought I would quickly pop in after work. Only got in about an hour ago so am tired.

Jury service done, did two cases, neither of which were anything too scary thankfully.

Working tomorrow night so at least I don't have to have another really early start!

Hope everyone ok xx

oooggs · 07/02/2011 21:47

I have never been called for Jury Service Hmm

not much going on here

Doobydoo · 08/02/2011 07:56

Doobydoo · 08/02/2011 07:58

Hope the meeting was positive Bramshott.
Also meant to say SOL..feel for you and your Dad.
Hope your ds receives support Pesha and I understand re teenagery moodiness am sure ds1 is turning into one sometimes and he is only 11Shock

Sexonlegs · 09/02/2011 07:30

Morning all

How are we all today?

Dooby, how are things with you?

SB, I'd love to do jury service. Like Oooggs, I have never been called up.

Bramshott, how was your meeting?

All crap here!! Been without the boiler for a week now and getting fed up of it. The plumber comes today but it will be a 2-day job. Have been having showers all over the place!

Also, one of my cats peed in my handbag grrrrr. To the cat home methinks!!

Dad has a major op on his back tomorrow. I am taking him to the hospital and staying overnight so I can be with him as much as I can. Feel quite nervous about it, and I know he does too. Have to say on a positive note, I am looking forward to a night away!!

Better crack on. 30 minutes until the plumber comes and I am still in my pj's :)

leakyR · 09/02/2011 10:47

I've never done jury duty but worked as an usher at law courts in Bradford one summer when I was a student. Judges are worryingly odd IME. One used to call a recess then disappear to Waterstones (for hours), another called me "little usher" no matter how many times I told him my name, yet another used to lie on the floor behind his desk and go to sleep, loud snoring being the only indication he was in the room HmmGrin I used to feel so sorry for jurors - it's a lot of boring sitting around really, and "interesting" cases are often upsetting.

SOL hope your boiler is fixed soon and that your dad's op goes smoothly.

Pesha hope ds gets the support he needs and you feel well soon.

I've had a weird vomity bug for the last few days, not throwing up all the time but feel off and have been sick a couple of times a day. Before you ask, NO I AM NOT PG! It would be an immaculate conception. In the last few months I've had IUD problems (it's been removed now), pre-cancerous cells on my cervix, a colposcopy and laser treatment which has meant that whole area has been a bit of a "No go" Waiting for biopsy results but they seemed positive at the hospital on my last appointment.

Dh has been in Milan for the last 2 weeks for work, lucky bugger. Home now but i feel a bit like my body has decided to relax and feel poorly now he's back.

oooggs · 09/02/2011 14:27

oh leaky thats pants hope you feel better soon

sol - wishing your Dad loads of good wishes

drizzly here so hindering yet more building work!!

CaptainDippy · 09/02/2011 21:01

Hope you get your shiny new boiler installed post haste SOL. Hope your dad's op went well. Thinking of you all xx

How did the meeting go Bramshott?????

Had a shitty cold for ever, but nothing much new here, just chugging along ......

Just popping in quickly to say, for those of you not on facebook, its a BOY!!!

Scan was all fine which was big relief and the sonographer pointed out his 'tadger' 3 times. The baby's tadger that is, sonographer didn't keep getting out his own tadger to show us! Confused

Is that even how you spell tadger, does it need the 'd'?! Is it even a word that has a recognised spelling?! I'm pretty certain MN is the right place to be asking these questions!!

Ahem, anyway yes so pretty definite its a boy! Can't quite believe I'm going to have 3 boys, it seems like such a lot!

Will be back to post properly tomorrow Smile

Sexonlegs · 09/02/2011 22:02

I thought it was todger!!

xx

oooggs · 10/02/2011 11:00

like I said on fb pesha - I think that 3 boys & 1 girl is a fantastic combination Smile there is also only enough room in this house for one little madam Wink

Doobydoo · 10/02/2011 15:23

Hope your dad's op went well SOL.Sending you positive thoughts.

Bramshott · 10/02/2011 15:32

Great news re the boy Pesha!

SOL - is the new boiler in yet?

The meeting was useful thanks, but he didn't have anything specific to offer Sad. So, onwards and upwards, and have sent my CV out now to some more people. I WILL find the right thing in the end !

oooggs · 12/02/2011 18:18

another new emotion Brew much prefer WineWink

leakyR · 12/02/2011 20:46

Ah I'm used to going without Wine, but would be divorced and friendless without Brew

Eddas · 12/02/2011 21:57

after a night on the Wine I always need Brew Grin

Dooby, the new venture sounds exciting, I've no imagination so couldn't help with a logo

Pesha, congrats on your 3rd little man. Have you decided where to host ds2's bday? My friend says her house is booked that day so looks like I'll have to have ds' party at home Grin For those not on FB, when asked where he wanted his party my ds said at Kian's house(his friend) but Kian's mum said she's booked up in April, a likely story, I think she's telling porkies Wink Grin

I had a trip to the dentist on Friday, had my 2nd filling ever (although first one been done twice) and was told I need a crown Shock but that was not the worst Shock that was the cost of said crown, on the NHS too, £198 Shock for a grey one, or £300 odd for white Grin I think the tooth may be pulled out once it gets to that stage! It's the tooth right at the back at the top, next to the wisdom tooth so I would think it'll be ok not being there Hmm

or I may re-mortgage the house

oooggs · 13/02/2011 14:00

ouch Eddas - just for the cost!!!!!

oooggs · 15/02/2011 20:39

eddas - sorry to read about your cm problems (other thread & fb) nightmare!

Bramshott · 15/02/2011 21:44

Well DH has gone to the Brit Awards, and I am sitting her wrapped in a blanket on the sofa. It's all glamour in my life I can tell you!

Eddas · 15/02/2011 21:55

Thanks oooggs, can't believe some people really think it's ok for her to suddenly drop ds in favour of another child with 1 weeks notice! and suggesting I find someone for holiday cover only, well ok I'll just tell my 3 year old to go to a stranger every 6 weeks!! That's not happening. Poor child. Luckily so many people have been very kind on fb and I will be able to cover this holiday, and I think I will need to wing it a little for the rest of the holidays until he's at school and I have something else in mind. Nightmare.

Just so sick of being let down, I should be used to it by now!
