CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 20:52

TwilightSurfer · 13/11/2010 20:54

I do not recall a disagreeable midi-crisper visiting me.HmmHmm Crisps, you are mistaken. Your dd1 has always been lovely.Grin

Hi all. Just woke from a 2 hour nap.Shock Feel slightly more like myself.

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 20:55

By the skin of our teeth DD1 seemed to sort herself out by the time of our visit. I thank my lucky stars daily Grin

Well done you on the nap Envy

RedLentil · 13/11/2010 21:14

DD2 doesn't have naps, and sleeps from about 8 until 7 normally. I think she's going through a growth spurt though because she's cranky and is generally just uncomfortable in her skin.

That sounds like a rotten day blueberry. Teething is a nightmare.

I love the sound of the rollerskates, Hip. Smile

Star, my last job of the day was to reply to your lovely post on my blog, but my eyes are shutting, so I might put that off until tomorrow if that's ok with you.

Every second not filled with children is filled with work at the moment, which is great but exhausting. [yawn]

Crispy - the pics can be uploaded tomorrow. The battery went on my camera and I had to buy a new one on ebay. It came yesterday though and it's all charged up now.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 13/11/2010 21:25

luckily DS still sleeps an hour or so on an afternoon, although sometimes it takes a ride in the push chair to persuade him he's tired.

Want to stay and chat but have three more calendars to do. Thank goodness for laptops so at least I can watch telly while I'm doing it.

Is anyone snogging yet or hasn't there been enough wine? Wink [puckers]

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 13/11/2010 21:30

DS still loves his naps - is he the only one? He naps for two hours pretty much every day and still goes to sleep around 8ish. I sometimes wonder if I should be limiting his sleeps, but he seems to love them so.

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 21:32

star DD2 takes herself to bed Grin. When mum looked after them on Thurs she went to bed at 10.30am Shock

DD1 will still nap about once or twice a week and she is 4 next week!

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 21:35

Maybe it's hereditary HmmBlush

RedLentil · 13/11/2010 21:51

Bizarely, dd1 still naps most days. Sometimes dd2 joins her if we all curl up and read until she's unconscious. I think they all need different amounts of sleep.

Star, I did reply on the blog, even though my eyes can't quite focus with tiredness. Thanks so much for posting there.

I'm trying not to read all the Irish EU bailout news on Twitter on account of wanting to sleep properly tonight. Sad

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 13/11/2010 22:26

Aw, go and get your head down Red :) I love your blog and am proud of myself for getting up the gumption to post a comment there.

In the interests of honesty though, I must point out that you have linked to someone else's drawing, not one of DH's Blush Fantastic piece of art though it is, it's not one DH can lay claim to. He is more the many-tentacled god/alien cityscape side of things Grin

RedLentil · 13/11/2010 22:29

Oh. I'm morto. I was looking for one of his fabulous drawings you linked to before. If you send me a link I'll set it right.

Shame, shame. Blush

RedLentil · 13/11/2010 22:35

Ok, my comment is copied and kept for safekeeping until it has the right link.

Never try to find an image with only half an eye open. Wink < for illustrative purposes.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 14/11/2010 00:35

Think we need a [drunk] emoticon.

Night all x

blueberryboybait · 14/11/2010 08:58

Morning all

Well last night was fun! DD2 chocked on a little posset and threw up big time all over her bed, then refused to go back to sleep until 2am when DD1 worke up sobbing because I hadn't read her story or sang to her last night as DH had put her to bed, so stories and songs duely done - and off she went to sleep (or so I thought) 25 mins later more crying - I had forgotten a song and her prayers Hmm so that done she went back to sleep and that was her until nearly 8 but DD2 was up and down like yoyo but is much better this morning and both are rolling around the floor with a couple of teddies and a dragon.

Enya - you day sounds dreadful and you night not much better - is 'H' around this weekend to help?

Crispy - Envy and nothing else but more Envy

We have no naps from DD1 and haven't for a god few months unless we are in the car at about 4pm!

Red - hope you mananged a good night and are bright and sprkey this morning.

Star, Bibi, Hippy, Fjornyorny - Morning :)

OP posts:
Merlion · 14/11/2010 11:49

Oh dear sorry for bad nights and poorly peeps.

I am feeling vaguely human today. I had a few words with DH about giving me a break as I wasn't feeling great. So I had a lie in this morning. DH took DS to soft play then I met them for lunch. Then whilst he had his nap (I think both of them) I went to get my nails done. Park this afternoon with friends then pasta at local restaurant.

DS would still have over 2 hours sleep every day if I let him but he persists in waking up very early so I am trying to cut back and it appears to be slowly helping - well somedays.
