BibiBelle · 13/11/2010 11:15

thanks for the link Star - love it and have emailed :)

HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 11:21

enya, lol, its bbbb's recipe Grin but she has said i can spread it.... on its way to you via fb

bibi please give yourself 5 mins away from everything to just sit and think

ds is apparently a bird today. this means he keeps trying to fly whilst jumping off cupboards and chairs. i haven't had enough sleep for him to be a bird today. i've just told him i won't take him to the hospital if he hurts himself...he's still trying to fly

hi to everyone else, i'd better go and try to stop my bird trying to fly

BibiBelle · 13/11/2010 11:29

ah but does she use hers or mine now as she has the much coveted KnB recipe ;)

HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 11:35
Shock
HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 11:43

i've clipped my bird's wings and he's now marching along with the lord mayor's show

i'm only here to rant...

mil's mil just rang

me:hello
her: are you better?
me: oh hi X, no, we're all ill still and stayed at home all week
her: that's a shame
me: sorry, i've got to go P's just been sick on me. i'll phone you later
her: no need to phone me back..so have you been to the shop yet to change p's dress?
me: erm no, we're still ill, haven't been out and i've got to go
her: well when are you going to change the dress?
me: bye!

FFS! i know she means well and i know i've got no patience today but really!!

BibiBelle · 13/11/2010 11:54

Hip, all completely justified in my eyesSmile

I can't remember if it was one of your friends or Star's that ordered brownies for this weekend - bless them!

HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 14:30

arse, was one of mine for her daughter's bday and i forgot to send her card, arse

i've just looked up to see what the squeaky noise is... it would appear ds is using his fire engines as roller skates. today has been, and still is, a very long day

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 18:02

Evening Smile

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 13/11/2010 18:24

Evening Crisp :)

hippo you have my sympathies. DS woke up from his nap in a terrible snit and compounded things by falling off the bed head-first onto the pointy corner of the bedside cabinet, thence to the floor :( He has a massive purple bruise on his head now, poor thing. Not sure what's going on with him at the moment but he is a bit out of sorts - very confused and saying NO to everything whether he wants it or not. Oh wait, that just means he's two.

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 18:31

star i was thinking today about when we took DD1 to meet the Surfers. From the age of just over 2 until 2.4 she was just awful Sad. If you happened to read my posts from that time, i think i was asking 'where has my lovely little girl gone, I want her back?'. Well, she did definitely reappear, so hang in there, and your gorgeous boy will be back very soon i'm sure. DD2 still says YUCK and NO to most things at the mo

hippster hope you have managed some rest this weekend and the Birdman has a nesting day tomorrow. DH has said he will take the girls out tomorrow as i have had them full on for 3 days, so i am planning a long lie in and reading my book

Nice to see you Queenie, how are you feeling?

FjorgynAndHotWater · 13/11/2010 18:53

Hello you guys Smile

Star poor DS Sad hope he isn't bothered by his bump and is soon the lovely boy you know he is again. We have so far been v lucky re the terrible twos with both DC, but DD is proving rather difficult naughty challenging at the moment. She never shuts up and is getting a bit sneaky, and still hasn't got the sense to be quiet if she wakes up early in the morning cue both of them awake before 6 this morning Shock, luckily after 10 mins of my ineffectual attempts to get them back to sleep I sent DH in and they went back to sleep until nearly 8am

crispy I bet you are looking forward to some me-time tomorrow Grin

Hippy hope you get a good night's sleep tonight and H comes back full of love and respect for your solo-parenting Smile

FjorgynAndHotWater · 13/11/2010 18:58

Was feeling v organised re Christmas, had a list with something against nearly everyone's name. Lost the bloody list Blush. Am currently downloading photos onto the truprint site as their calendars are half price until tomorrow so will be doing those this evening. It's been fun looking at all the photos from this year but am shocked to find only three or four rubbish ones from last Christmas so will have to fill in with snow ones for December. Bloody hell there was a lot of snow at Christmas wasn't there Shock [brrr]

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 13/11/2010 19:43

Oh that's a good idea Fjorgyn, I might make picture calendars for my family this year :) It might make up for my nan being left out of the wedding photos Blush Hmm [not our fault emoticon]

If it makes you feel any better, I haven't done a stroke of shopping for Xmas yet as am too skint

Thanks for all the reassurances about DS - you know what a worrier I am, and I know I hyperscrutinise him for signs that he is fed up or unhappy Blush I actually think he's feeling ill and that's why he's out of sorts. He is coughing rather like I was, which is enough to make anyone mardy.

Crisp I do remember your exasperation over DD1 - it seems so long ago! And she is such a gorgeous girl and such a credit to you :) Likewise your beautiful DD Fjorgyn, even if she is rather, um, sparky Grin She's fab and so are you.

FjorgynAndHotWater · 13/11/2010 19:48

Blush thanks star Blush

You are rather fab yourself Grin

Here endeth the love-in for now, bed time in the hotter house (yay!)

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 13/11/2010 19:53

I was going to say, endeth before 8 o'clock? Shock Surely not! There is still wine to be consumed.

HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 20:13

T-5mins until i'll be in my pyjamas Grin

crisp thanks for the thought but rest won't be happening til at least monday evening. hey ho, we're all bumbling through just fine despite being full of colds still. i'm v Envy of your time off tomorrow! how was brighton? (sorry if you've already told us!)

star its so hard isn't it. i think alot of it is done to T being frustrated. be it him trying to tell me something or do something or go somewhere. it doesn't help that we're not letting him nap now. he goes to sleep at 7pm instead of 10/11 if he doesn't have a nap. the fire engine roller skates were rather inspired though, quite surprised how well they worked Grin

fjoron mum's bought me a lovely bottle of rose..fancy sharing? no way i can drink it all myself Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 20:14

Noooooo. lets not end the love in Grin

Thanks star, yes it does seem an age ago, and i only recall it so clearly as i thought 'fuck i can't take such a negative, moody, stroppy child to meet some internet trucker friend and her family' Blush. Your DS is just scrumptious and such a gorgeous boy every time i have met him that i KNOW, lurking under any mardiness is a happy and contented little boy Smile

I have had a nightmare realisation today, that i think DH has handed DD1's birthday pressie into the charity shop. I am sure it was in the car (and isn't anywhere else) so the only possible explanation is that he has handed it over. Phoned them today and they will speak to the manager. It is not a mahooooosive problem as the pressie was very small and there was a cheque which can be canx, but i know my mum will clock it up with the 'Crispy can be so flaky and disorganised' line. I really am not, but compared to my anally retentive sister i guess i am
Any ideas on how to broach the 'we seem to have mislaid DD1's birthday present which you kindly gave us would be gratefully received Blush'

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 20:14

....and hippy

HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 20:21
HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 20:21

do you know what the present was?

CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 20:23

No, but i think only a pound or two, as a gift to open and then a cheque (done this way on our request when they really have no idea as to the value of presents)

blueberryboybait · 13/11/2010 20:24

Evening :)

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 13/11/2010 20:26

Ha, she sniffed the wine WinkGrin

blueberryboybait · 13/11/2010 20:30

Crispy - DH let DD1 in the boot of his car where all her chrismas pressies are Hmm but at least she still has them Grin

Evening - Star, Hot, Hippy :)

I am brokenly tired - DD2 got a tooth today so has wanted carrying all day, I put her on my back whilst working as my dad was being 'helpful' but leaving a trail of devestation in his wake. She didn't want to be there and didn't want to be down, she didn't want food and refused to sleep. All joy in my cafe today! DD1 was being sweetness and light for my mum after being the devil incarnate for me all day yesterday and first thing this morning. I actually went back in the treads and read through Crispy's stuff about her DD1 and I think I have the same child!

Star - I am sure your very lovley bay will be back soon, are you looking forward to being a SAHM?

OP posts:
HippyHippopotamus · 13/11/2010 20:33

oi bbbbbbbbbb, thought you were off to bed Grin

crisp hmm, my idea won't work then. i was going to suggest saying dd2 had got hold of cheque and drawn on it so could you have a relacement please. but if you don't know what pressie is, you can't sneakily replace
