CrispyTheCrisp · 11/11/2010 15:48

Hooray ts, you'll be amazing!

Just on train back to mum and dad's. Sorry hippy am in sarf London, otherwise would have loved to swing by. Mum seems ok with the girls which is fab as she is 71 and doubts her ability/fitness to look after them. I left after brekker and will be home to get tea which helped I think.

Merlion - great news re feeling better :)

Star - the south is overrated. You need to head west ;)

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 15:55

ooh i love that coat star Smile

congratulations ms daisy troop leader Grin

salta that dress is beautiful!

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 15:57

oi crisp, stop trying to steal star!!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 11/11/2010 15:59

crisp Grin If I could afford to live in Paradise, you know I'd be there.

Meanwhile you're in my manor - good old sarf Landan. Unless you mean poncey old SW London Wink

CrispyTheCrisp · 11/11/2010 16:10

Lol. Maybe slightly poncey Wink

You can come too hippy but paradise may run out of houses Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 16:13

nope, thanks but no, i'm never moving house ever again!!

Silkstalkings · 11/11/2010 18:40

Heheh, was just nosing locally on Rightmove and found this decorative gem. Nice schools though and right by mahoossive gorgeous park & river to make up for unphotographable back garden.

Silkstalkings · 11/11/2010 18:44

OFFS it doesn't even have central heatingAngry.

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 19:16

looks very similar to how our house was decorated when we first moved in!!

Silkstalkings · 11/11/2010 21:01

Didn't Roxy in Eastenders look pretty tonight? Almost makes me want to go Marilyn blonde again, been 16yrs too long. Am currently enjoying my aubergine Kate-O'Mara-blind-drunk-in-a-gutter-with-someone-else's-stolen-specs-on look though.

PertyPru · 11/11/2010 21:01

Hippy that was heartfelt! (The 'never again'...) Frankly if you're the family project manager I don't blame you one bit.

Bibi really sorry to hear your bad news from docs, how crap Sad. You don't need me to chime in with the same advice as everyone else but take care of yourself, lovely.

Same to you Star, you are amazing to put such a positive spin on things. Hope HR have something useful to say but either way you know we will all be here cheering you on.

Hullo Silk, Enya, Merlion, TS, Crisp, Bluebs, anyone else out there...

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 21:06

hiya perty!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 11/11/2010 21:17

Silk I love the circle of shit-brown recliners in that house you linked to Grin Like the owners fancy themselves as a family of evil geniuses and sit down to plot every night.

I think you should go blonde. You look good with any hair colour Envy I am too sallow to have yellow hair, it makes me look like custard.

Well, it's official: I am putting in for voluntary severance tomorrow! Grin and a little bit Shock but mostly Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 21:21

oooh, forgot to brag and tell you about ds today... he can identify and name the numbers from one to five GrinGrin ooh and he can identify and name the letters in his name GrinGrin My son is indeed a genius!!!

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 21:22

well star, i think you deserve a few more Grins

Silkstalkings · 11/11/2010 21:38

Star Excellent workGrin. And that house is certainly a 'character property', being the only one in the terrace with Jack&Vera stonecladding. And actually you have to walk diagonally across the lounge from the front door which is just dumb.

HippyJr Also excellent work there. K counts like this 'Hun Hun Hun Six.'

Perty Excellent work being done by you too I'm sure.

Well done chaps. I'm off for some reading time, my fave crime writer Phil Rickman has gone off-style

HippyHippopotamus · 11/11/2010 21:43

oh he can't count, unless you class 'un,ooo, eeeee, ate' as counting. what i mean is that he can read the numbers!

oh and silk ive finished the book you sent me..what do i do now?

PertyPru · 11/11/2010 22:13

LOL Silk yes thanks I am working hard at sitting on the sofa eating ice cream Grin. Though also knitting and watching TV so I guess multi-tasking? (Not knitting at the same time as typing though, that is a bit advanced...) BTW are you on ravelry, shall we be chums?

Hippy bless him! DD is somewhat keen on numbers and letters also, so do bring him round and they can count each other's fingers and sympathise over the mean parents who gave them such long names to spell, while we eat cake Smile

TwilightSurfer · 11/11/2010 23:47

DD2 can count to twenty and does it often.Blush I feel like people look at me with raised eyebrows.Hmm I always remark, "I did not teach her that. DD1 did."Confused

HippyHippopotamus · 12/11/2010 07:55

TS T would have to bow down to the superiority of R's counting skills!

pert i'm there!! as soon as we've all got rid of this cold...we're there!

i have a feeling that T will exploit his new trick to the fullest... mum couldn't believe it and rewarded him with a biscuit HmmGrin

blueberryboybait · 12/11/2010 08:25

DD1 has a bit of a thing for letters and words, she can count very well but only has a true concept of numbers upto 8, so can count out upto 8 things from a pile of things.

Both girls slept well last night - yippee - but DH came in full of the joys of spring at 1am Hmm

OP posts:
enyahadenough · 12/11/2010 08:58

morning Smile..

dd2 can count to 10 well and to 15 a bit dodgy!! alot can be said for having an older sibling and of course mickey mouse Grin..

lurgy still in full force and now officially driving me crackers.. i reckon if i could spend a day in bed would knock it on the head but that just an't gonna happen!!

dad is over for the weekend and dsd is down tomorrow so its all go here Hmm..

forcing me and dd2 to tickety boo where she can hopefully run around like a mad thing and i can drink vile tea HmmGrin..

hip treats work waaay to well in this house Grin

ShineyHappyHair · 12/11/2010 09:44

found you!!! Got a sweat on there for a minute when I couldn't work out where you'd all gone. Just going to catch up then will post more Grin. Love ya ladies!

CrispyTheCrisp · 12/11/2010 10:04

Morning - lovely evening with friends last night Smile. Off to near Brighton shortly for another 2 visits on our southern world tour.

DD2 woke at 3am (1am last night) . I have been very strict putting her back to bed here so i must continue it at home.

DD2 can sing the alphabet (thanks to Fisher Price and DD1) and count to 20 (thanks DD1). Definitely agree about older siblings being the main teacher Blush

enya make use of DDad and DSD being over and get thee to bed

silks go blonde. Do it. Bet you would look amazing

star voluntarily being booted is the way all the best people do it Wink

HippyHippopotamus · 12/11/2010 10:57

miss crisp, can i go to bed too please?
