Morning, hope you all find me!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
CrispyTheCrisp · 20/11/2010 21:09

I had a text to say thanks so i assume she has arrived safely. What has happened since is anyone's guess Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/11/2010 21:09

Close one LOL

BibiBelle · 20/11/2010 21:12

hurrah for food arrival!

PertyPru · 20/11/2010 21:26

Thanks guys Smile. I do feel like I've jumped the queue a little... it's all happened so fast [swoon emoticon]. Tis very early days so yes, hoping for a late July one but could easily be an early August birthday-pile-up. So far no symptoms to speak of but it's a good excuse for pretty normal levels of laziness and greed (was it the eating like a pig, Star? Blush)

Anyway hope tomorrow is free of pain, snot, unreasonable in-laws, scary car bills and all other rubbishness for you all. You're all so lovely, you deserve all good things [hormonally over-emotional blubbing] - Blush again Grin

BibiBelle · 20/11/2010 21:41

Grin no need to worry about queue jumping Pru - we all knew the minute you were settled in the house it was go go go for baby GrinWink

CrispyTheCrisp · 20/11/2010 21:49
Grin
aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/11/2010 21:52

Right, am off to bed with some diluted wine and today's Guardian :) See you tomorrow lovely ladies, fingers crossed for some winter sunshine x

blueberryboybait · 20/11/2010 22:46

Perty - DD let us on to it with BabyBob!

DH and I have been out to dinner with friends and come home to a very awake DD2 she coughed and the ILs brought her downstairs, grr.

To bed with us all then we head into Londinium tomorrow for a bit of pre-christmas christmas cheer and light seeing.

OP posts:
Silkstalkings · 20/11/2010 23:38

Wow, London underground with 2 small children, not my idea of cheer! Prove me wrong BBcubed.Grin

Why on earth am I up so late?Shock Night all.

salta · 21/11/2010 00:21

night all.

potty training ok.

will sit on the potty and wee.

no poos today and a couple of accidents, when waking in the morning and after his nap. Will have to think about that one further.

To continue tomorrow. Will try to sit him on the potty slightly less often.

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/11/2010 08:37

Morning - 7.30 wake up - woo woo. DD1 even woke before DD2. Not convinced that she then didn't go and wake her Hmm

Salta - you have inspired me to be a bit more positive about DD2's potty usage. However i am doing it the same way as DD1 with wearing nothing on the bottom half. Mine just don't seem to 'get it' unless naked - if they have pants on they seem to think they are nappies IYSWIM. I don't put them on the potty, just have it nearby and maybe say something to jog their memory if dancing around. Last night DD2 managed a pee and a poo on the potty so a good start. Today we are at home all day i think, so will be easy for being half nekkid!

Enjoy London, we are doing the Winter W onderland at H yde Park in a couple of weekends time which i am hoping will be lovely for the girls (and us obv!)

Long day ahead sorting out the study and restocking DD2's new wardrobe. Has to be done today as she was calling 'help i'm stuck' this morning and i went in and she was in the wardrobe drawer Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 08:49

Had a wonderful night's sleep with DS last night, however was woken at 5am to the plaintive sound of 'downstairs.......daddy....downstaaaiiiiirrrrrsssssss' Hmm I ignored until 6am and then gave up.

Am doing nothing re. potty training until the new year, although DS is starting to tell me before he does a poo, which is encouraging.

In other news, my back seems to be coming out of spasm so I can stand up straight at last. As long as I don't sit down all day everything should be rosy Hmm

salta · 21/11/2010 09:18

Oh I am so proud of DS. This morning, instead of getting up straight away with him grumpy and half asleep and unsuccessfully putting him on the potty which is what we did yesterday, we let him climb all over us in bed which is what he usually does and when we finally got up his night time nappy was dry and he did a big wee on the potty.

salta · 21/11/2010 09:19

I suspect that you will find many more similarly fascinating updates in the next few days ...

PS happy news pert.

UrsulaUndress · 21/11/2010 09:30

Pert! GrinGrinGrin deeeeeelighted for you! That's absolutely brilliant news Grin. good for you.

Star hope you feel ok today, sounds as if ds was doing his 100 per cent best for you yesterday & evening, how sweet.

TS hope dd2 feeling a bit more human today.

TwilightSurfer · 21/11/2010 11:43

Salta keep posting. Maybe one day soon you'll give me the strength to begin the process.

We let the girls camp out on the sofas last night in front of the Christmas tree. It still has no ornaments, only lights. DD2 was asleep around 5:30PMShock. DD1 went to sleep around 8:30PM. She even turned the television off.Shock All are up at 6AM so Hmm.

DD2 still coughing too BBBB. Will this ever end!!!???!!!!

enyahadenough · 21/11/2010 17:18

hey ladies,

i'm back Smile.. thanks for all your lovely thoughts whilst i was away.. it was a good trip {was to spain} and me and dh talked loads and finally i hope we are back on track Grin.. dd1 missed me loads and was very upset yesterday which was quite upsetting.. she has come down with a horrible cold/cough on top of ear infection/tonsilitics Sad...

ShineyHappyHair · 21/11/2010 19:10

#Hello from the house of stress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ds2 is poorly with sore throat, temp and exzema round his mouth. He cries at the slightest thing and is full of cold too.

Poor dh has been suspended from work Shock for allegedly knowing that one of his cleaning team managers was bringing her husband onto site 18 months ago to help with a cleaning operation! Its utter shite and the wankers he works for have a policy of 'compromising' people out of the business if the head honcho/pyscho bitch takes a dislike to them. He's so stressed out, poor dh (understandably so), feeling really anxious and panicky so he's off to to the gp tomorrow Sad. My poor boys Sad. Luckily ds1 is just fine Grin

ShineyHappyHair · 21/11/2010 19:12

enya and pert Grin great news respectively Grin

Hi Ursula, TS, bb, bbbb, hippo, crispy, star, fjorgyn, salta, albs, silky, and apologies to anyone i;ve missed'!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 21/11/2010 19:24

Aw ShineyHappy that is so shit :( for darling O and Angry for your DH - it sounds like a crock. Am struggling to see how having her husband on site could be such a problem, unless he works for MI5 or something. Wanker bosses Angry

DH home at last, yay! He is upstairs doing bedtime right now :) DS was crying for me, lol. Think he is a little institutionalised!

CaptainCaveman · 21/11/2010 19:33

He works for a propery holdings company who basically do all of the cleaning on royal mail sites. The prob with her dh being there is the issues royal mail have with staff needing to be vetted etc. Problem is, dh wasn't even aware that the woman was doing this, and now that she has been suspended and faced with the sack, she's said dh knew about it!!

Silkstalkings · 21/11/2010 19:39

Shiney I'm not surprised he's upset, he must be in the pitsSad. Hope it doesn't drag on too long for him.

Enya Great to hear things went so wellSmile, keep up the communication and the metamorphosis.

Had lovely yomp in Lyndhurst today with DH's band and families, attempting to get some decent promo pics. K managed to eat some 'orse poo.'

Doing some voluntary admin tmrw for these guys - take a look for Xmas ideas. Have at last managed to convince a scowling DH it is networking for future schoolrun-friendly career and cheaper than me retraining.

CrispyTheCrisp · 21/11/2010 21:25

Woo, woo, woo, woo

I am a VERY happy bunny this evening Smile. DH and i have cleared out the study/spare room, moved in the furniture from DD2's room and moved out the stuff to sell on. The desk is now clear, most of the shit either binned or charity shopped and the window sill cleared. I feel like a weight has been lifted Smile

Sorry to hear about MrShiney. That really, really sucks Sad. I hope the truth prevails for him.

Hurrah for a lovely weekend enya but crap about the ongoing illnesses, you lot have really been through the mill.

Glad your back has improved somewhat star and DH home to help out and give you a big cuddle Smile

salta · 21/11/2010 23:09

Oh yes, really rubbish for MrS. The employment boards here are always very good for advice I find, when reading them instead of marking.

Day 2 still OK I think. One near miss but apart from that no accidents. Still to see whether DS will start asking for the potty on his own as we have just been plonking him down every hour.

In front of Thomas the tank engine, which I have to say, is quite good.

Nice news about a tidy house crisps, always makes me feel good, and Silk, can you not partly write your networking admin off against tax when you do your tax return as it is a business expense ... although I am aware that I know nothing more than this of the matter, so it could just be another one of my bright ideas.

Merlion · 22/11/2010 04:59

Yay congrats Pert someone else to join me.

Enya glad you had a lovely weekend and that the 'd' has been reinstated. Hope that both you and DD1 are feeling better.

Hope all the others who are sick are feeling better too. TS I'd take that as a good sign too.

Sorry to hear about MrShiney hope it is resolved quickly.

I've had my own run-in with someone at work today am very Angry. Basically completely unnecessary bullying of one of my team. Yes a mistake was made but as team leader I have to take responsibility for that no need to come down so harshly on a junior member of staff who was very new at the time the incident occurred.

Salta DS will have a wee every night before his bath and if I'm not quick enough getting the nappy off he gets very upset if he can't then perform. He does insist on standing up to pee though (think he's been watching Daddy too much). But I think we'll have to use the Crispy school of potty training to make him understand that he has to recognise when he needs to go.
