Grin re personal shopper Crips

Hips I did in fact means HotsBlush sorry, I also meant Ursula and not Irsula

do you think we'll ever get use to the imposed name changes Confused

Envy re meet up - anyone want to head north for Hogmany?!

Hi Pru Smile I kept meaning to say how utterly GORGEOUS M is in the photos on FB

TwilightSurfer · 19/11/2010 01:32

hi. very tired. long day. must sleep. have fun tomorrow. Envy of it all.

Merlion · 19/11/2010 03:19

Have a great meet up.

Enya enjoy the weekend and try not to worry about DD1. We expect a full report when you get back. Completely understandable to be nervous.

Bibi that's rubbish of the GP, still a face to face meeting might be better. Means you can go more prepared with a list of questions this time.

Ursula don't you need my address? I did move earlier in the year but not really sure that you'd have the old one anyway!

Star that would be great if it isn't a bug. Would that mean another August edd? Trying not to get excited emoticon or just one of these Bear

HippyHippopotamus · 19/11/2010 08:07

morning all
ds woke loads last night, v tired but my co-driver Mr Coffee will be joining me on our adventure Grin

enya i know you won't see this until you return but i was thinkimg of you this morning. i really hope h has planned a good weekend for you. would be a little more imaginative if you're not going to spanish villa but i really really hope he's not going to surprise you by having sil from hell there!

i'd better get my arse into the shower otherwise i really will be a hairy trucker today!

see you later crispy and bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb

hope the rest of you have lovely weekends Smile

CrispyTheCrisp · 19/11/2010 08:44

Yes, wiggle those Hips and get a move on Grin

DD1 asked what we were doing today and could she dress up. Conversation as follows:

Me: Why don't you wait until midiOops gets here as i'm sure she would like to as well
DD1: Who? midiOops who we always (read twice LOL) go to B ristol zoo with?
Me: Yes (me really not having thought she would remember at all)
DD1: Yay! Yippee!

enya i agree with hips. I was thinking 'oh gosh i hope there isn't a footie match in Spain this weekend Blush'. I REALY REALLY hope i am doing him a massive disservice and he has the best intentions and execution of plans to give you a lovely time Smile

Right, best go make the house presentable Hmm

UrsulaUndress · 19/11/2010 08:52

I quite like Irsula, rather Soviet looking.

Well the weekend starts here for meeteruppers and whisked-away types so have fun!

I do have addresses courtesy of last year's KK so you should all receive your instructions later today! I feel a run on Tempt coming...

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 19/11/2010 09:40

Have a brilliant meet up in Paradise everyone Envy :) and hippy have a safe journey there [mother hen]

Merlion it would be fantastic if there was a positive reason for my feeling so shite, but am trying not to think about it. I suspect it is probably a bug; had an all-systems clear out last night, both ends in quick succession (sorry), and then lay in bed with my back and legs aching. Finally fell asleep at 11.30, only for DS to wake at 12, 2 and 4, and then the bloody cat knocked a suitcase over in my bedroom at 5 and woke me again Angry

Am now at work, feeling like death warmed up. Poor DS got shouted at a little bit this morning Blush just to hurry him up. But he is being so sweet and full of life, I feel bad for having to hustle him out of the door.

How are you feeling now?

blueberryboybait · 19/11/2010 10:10

Hippy - it must have been his excitement - DD1 was awake 7 times wanting to get up and go see The CrispyGals and The Popomusses. There are only so many times I could say go back to sleep it's the middle of the night before I used the fine stay awake but there will be no friends tomorrow am, she then went to sleep!

Enya - I know you are gone but have a fantastic time.

Merlion · 19/11/2010 10:27

Oh Star what are you doing at work? Can't you go home and rest? Don't worry about DS he'll be only to happy to see you later on.

I keep thinking I'm starting to feel better then today felt really sick again. Still 12 week scan on Tuesday so fingers crossed all ok still.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 19/11/2010 10:35

I don't know why I came in, tbh Grin It's only a morning today and I have nothing to do.

Will be thinking of you on Tuesday. Those first 12 weeks seem to take forever, don't they?

Merlion · 19/11/2010 11:16

Have just found out my SIL (DH's sister) is pg again - 8 weeks so just a bit behind me. My MIL will have kittens when she arrives here on Wednesday and we tell her our news.

TwilightSurfer · 19/11/2010 11:28

hi. dd2 was up a million times in the night. i am exhausted. her cough sounds horrible. i'm trying to get her to have some chicken soup for breakfast to help but she's not interested. ugh!

CrispyTheCrisp · 19/11/2010 11:37

Bread & cake baking, soup and houmous made. So, who else is coming for lunch, i have plenty Grin

Merlion - tell her you have a feeling yours could be two weeks late and SIL is banking on 38 weeks Wink. Thankyou for reminding me how far along you are - my friend has her scan next week so I shall remember from now on Smile. SOrry to hear still icky sicky, i hope the magic 12 week mark helps you

LOL at Star not knowing why she is at work Grin. Have you had your VR confirmed yet or are they working through all the hundreds of applicants to decide who gets it?

Sorry to hear of all the disturbed nights Sad. After DD2's bump on the head she has stopped her 2am waking Hmm. Not that i recommend this as a sleep training technique you understand Grin

BBBB I always used the you won't go swimming/see friends etc if she refused to sleep. Only had to envoke it once or twice and now the threat is enought to prevent night time shenanigans.
Actually i have just remembered that DD1 was calling for me in the night, i went in and she was twisted over with her head and torso down the space between her bed and the wall with her bum and legs still in bed. No idea how she managed that bless her!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/11/2010 11:50

I wanna come Envy

Am sooooo bored today at work, there's bugger all to do and I can't be arsed to actually look for something to do Blush so am instead trawling ebay for new clothes I can't really afford because of the flipping car... Oh of course, soz crisp I can't make it after all.

merlion hurrah for a pregnancy buddy Smile and good luck with your scan next week. It mnight seem ages to you but only seems like two minutes since you were in the 'can't get pg' corner with us and now your nearly at 12 weeks Shock I will keep everything crossed for you and hope your sickness magically clears as soon as the scan is over.

Star sorry to hear you are feeling ropey too Sad What is your gadabout DH up to this weekend?

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/11/2010 11:56

I would just like to apologise for my appalling spelling/grammar mistake in that last post Blush

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 19/11/2010 12:17

Fjorgs he's making squonky music with his mate in London Grin Bless him, I am glad he's made time to do it. Is it just mine or are all men rubbish at making time with their friends?

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/11/2010 12:37

My poor DH doesn't really have any friends of his own, although this is completely his own fault cos he is too lazy; it doesn't seem to bother him at all though. He did have some friends when we met though, so yes, I agree with you Smile

Off to buy ingredients for coffe-liqueur-making on my way home. Undecided whether to go for Kahlua (vodka) or Tia Maria (rum)

CrispyTheCrisp · 19/11/2010 12:48

When will the car be fixed hots?

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/11/2010 12:53

Dunno re car. He said it might take a week so hopefully Monday/Tuesday. Am not ringing until Monday as don't want to hear any bad news...

alittlebitshy · 19/11/2010 13:47

Hope westerly meetup goes/is going well!!
Hope hippy didn't* need to start driving until the nasty fog we had here cleared. was a bugger to drive in when not tired, so i hope she was ok with a lot of wake ups (eek - i don't think we had more than 6 when ds was at his worst - cannot imagine how tired you feel :()

dh, ds and i had a lovely morning. took a bus trip into nearest town. was meant to be just ds and i playing bus rides then costa coffee but dh decided to join us so as to upgrade my phone (is in his name - complex as 2 contracts in one account - seemed easier til i wanted to upgrade Confused) but they didn't have the phone i wanted. boo. but we had a lovely pootle, lovely coffee and cake in costa then got a wok - we have been looking for the perfect one to replace out old dead one for ages and found it reduced. bargain:)

TwilightSurfer · 19/11/2010 15:04

I didn't realize Kahlua was a vodka.Hmm

CrispyTheCrisp · 19/11/2010 16:24

Lovely meet up had thanks ladies Smile. MidiOops was her usual charming self and went along with most of DD1's hairbrained schemes Hmm. miniOops was a wonderful delight, sitting with a terrific smile and gobbling up bread and houmous with gusto.

MasterHippo was a true boy finding every bit of mud to launch himself into whilst looking like butter wouldn't melt the rest of the time Grin. SmallestHippo was also extremely gorgeous and contented despite CrispGirl gurning within 2 inches of her face to try and make her smile HmmBlush

TheHippster herself looked amazingly fresh given her disturbed night & long drive - good luck with the rest of the drive and MIL's MIL!!

BBBB as usual was making parenting 2 children look like a breeze Envy whilst my two were running round being cheeky and creating chaos at every turn Blush

Sadly no Bear made an appearance, but there may have been cake....

TwilightSurfer · 19/11/2010 16:37

that sounds so lovely, crispy. did you take pictures?

CrispyTheCrisp · 19/11/2010 16:43

. Ahem, we may have failed on that front . To be fair DD2 is hardly looking her best for pictures to be recorded for posterity

We could have had a lovely pic of DD2 and HippoBoy sat togther on our bed looking like an old married couple Grin

The time always just seems to fly by at mini meets. There is no real chance for a proper chat as there is always some upset/need/involvement needed by the DC's and suddenly it is going home time Sad
