Hippy re. snacks, how about veggie flapjacks? They're tasty and pretty indestructible. Or I have a recipe for oaty apricot biscuits somewhere that are perfect for cars - they're squidgy rather than crunchy, so less crumbs.

HippyHippopotamus · 18/11/2010 13:48

argh dh's fecking family! i've just had an argument with mil's mil about our plans. she's furious we're staying in a hotel and that we're having a separate visit to see dh's aunts (and not seeing them at their parent's house)

i told dh that i'd argued with her and that i didnt take any nonsense from her. (dh's mum never stands up for herself with her so it was quite a shock for me to). dh reckons i'm a good wife Smile

HippyHippopotamus · 18/11/2010 13:49

star good idea re flapjacks :)

TwilightSurfer · 18/11/2010 14:52

STAND YOUR GROUND HIPS!

Star you make me laugh. Potty mouth skills are a real plus you know.Wink

Enya rest and rest is all dd1 needs. She'll be happy and safe while you are away. Have fun and relax.Smile

Ursula, that's a very interesting sandwich. I must admit my pickiness would probably keep me from trying it. I'm strange though.

We are back from the doctor (who was extremely wonderful...we've not seen this one yet). DD2 has a cold. I am doing an incredible job helping her through it. Today "may" be the worst day. He gave me things to look for just in case things take a turn the wrong direction. He was thrilled with all my probiotics, liquids and nasal aspirating. He also though DD2 was excellent to examine. She let him look in her ears, down her throat, up her nose, and have a listen at her heart/lungs all the while keeping her cries minimal. She didn't squirm a bit. So now we just keep on keeping on.Grin

Chili Cheese Dogs for Brunch! YUM!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 18/11/2010 14:56

Envy at Chilli Cheese Dogs. They sound awesome

UrsulaUndress · 18/11/2010 15:08

LOL at my supersandwich being old-fashioned and "interesting". You're a hard crowd and no mistake.

Re. KK

Star can I confirm your address's initials are BS?

Pert can you send me your new address please?

And has anyone seen Poppy?

HippyHippopotamus · 18/11/2010 15:10

oh don't you worry TS, hotel's booked, plans have been made with his aunts...i'm changing nothing! The only thing that might change is whether or not i let her see my children!
i'm sure we've been telling you you've been doing a great job with dd2 but v pleased you've had it confirmed by a professional and not just your hairy truckers Grin

i'm going to be grey by 35 at this rate...'Super T' is back in the house and whilst wearing his cape he can obviously jump off tall things onto the floor. He is completely ignoring me if i just call him T... he will only respond if i say 'super T' I believe we need to go for a walk! Ah, apparently i'm 'super mummy'

UrsulaUndress · 18/11/2010 15:10

And Silks your address too pls.

KK rules are either spend no more than a fiver, or make it homemade?

UrsulaUndress · 18/11/2010 15:12

Sorry Silks you haven't moved house. I have your address.

TwilightSurfer · 18/11/2010 15:25

Hipster, tis true. You all told me exactly what the doc told me. I think I need to purchase a stethoscope. If I could have listened to her lungs to be certain it hadn't settled there I'd have not bothered going.Hmm

36 days until Christmas!

blueberryboybait · 18/11/2010 16:24

Hippy - Do you have a snow suit for DD? I have a worn once pretty white one which I can bring tomorrow to Crispy's if you would like it?
