I like the look of those bunks Bibi but how long until DD2 does a superhero, riding an horse, in her knickers act from the top bunk?

Ouch to PetiteCrisp - hope she is ok Crispy and you all get some sleep to recover from that painful combination of shock, terror and tedium that is A&E.

HippyHippopotamus · 15/11/2010 22:13

bbbbbb your post about middlebibi made me laugh!

bibi, she does have a good point though!

BibiBelle · 15/11/2010 22:18

I'm aware. She was sitting going through a kids furniture catalogue announcing that she wanted the cool black bed so she could sleep alone Hmm

The cunning plan is that DD1 will go in the top, DD2 on the bottom (that's NOT going to go down well) till D gets used to the bed then DD1 goes through to the box room (Sazz's room) and DD2 goes up whilst D goes in the bottom - follow all that?! well done!

those ones don't split into singles beds and there is a drawer where I was hoping to shove a trudle bed for when we have visitors - am never happy am I Blush

blueberryboybait · 15/11/2010 22:24

Bibi - stuff some cushions into the drawer and hey presto a trudle bed for visitors! :)

Evening Smile

DD1's pressies all wrapped, party bags filled and pass the parcel wrapped. I am SO ahead of myself it is unreal (DD1's birthday/party not til Sat Shock). Oh, and i have even found Mum's pressie quite by accident as i was going to fess up very soon.

Just off to bed and bring DD2 in with us. Arnica applied and she seems fine - ursula she launched herself into a chair and has a triangular egg on her forehead Sad

bibi can you not find one with an underbed trundle and left hand steps? There must be one. Don't compromise out of frustration would be my view - am happy to become FSG tomorrow if you want me to take a look. Just list your requirements and top budget Smile

Yay for DD2's eating BBBB. Crusts were always a favourite here.

TwilightSurfer · 16/11/2010 01:00

I am caught up!Grin

TwilightSurfer · 16/11/2010 01:16

Hmm things i can remember from reading....

i like your dress crispy. you could wear it anywhere you like as long as you carry an attitude with it. no one will every know you've NOT come from a grand function and are just stopping in for a bite before heading home. you can use my spy game here as well. pretend you are one of a team of spies traveling the town after a grand hoopla.

so sorry mini-crisper crashed. daily we dodge similar incidences.

bibi what were you nominated for again? i don't move around mn much anymore. i even delete their weekly emails.

i've talked myself out of bunk beds for now. i'll probably change my mind next week.

enya, nicely done on redefining your relationship. it doesn't always have to be trashed. excellent job!

ursula, we're 40 days out from st. nick. shake a tail feather. my gift's got a ways to go ya know. Wink

as for gifts... i am so behind. i've purchase NOTHING for anybody and quite honestly don't have the urge to shop for people. how sad is that. i need some inspiration. i spent a few moments this morning online window shopping for the girls. i'd load a shopping basket, see the total then dump it. repeat. the price for the items never seemed to "fill me with joy." ba hum bug!

dd2 woke at 3am with a slight fever and talking like a rhodes scholar.Shock her fever came down but she has a nice case of bronchitis (unprofessionally diagnosed of course). i kept her out of school. she fell asleep around 11am (little early for her nap) and slept until 2:30pm. i had to really work with her to get her to wake up. i almost panicked thinking something was wrong or maybe i'd given her the wrong dose of tylenol. it took her about 20 minutes to rouse but then she was hell on wheels the rest of the day. she's quite the sneaky devil. fingers crossed we don't have a repeat tonight.

hugs and waves to all i didn't name.

TwilightSurfer · 16/11/2010 02:24

What do you think of this tiara for dd1? Be honest! DH has already given me his opinion.Hmm

TwilightSurfer · 16/11/2010 02:48

OMG! This is it!! It is perfect! Comes with the box and can be engraved. OH I AM CREATING A FAIRY TALE!! Where's my fairy godmother with her platinum credit card?

blueberryboybait · 16/11/2010 07:16

TS - you need to remember DH is not a little girl! Tiara number one as revolting as it may seem to a grown man is exactly what a girl will want. I thin tiara is possibly too tasteful and simple for a real princess!

DD2 had coughed all night, DD1 has had horrible nightmares then she got into our bed at 6am and wee'd all over DH who lost his cool aand is now sulking sleeping in the spare room.

Coffee anyone?

enyahadenough · 16/11/2010 07:39

ek bbbb hope dd2 feels a little better and dd1 ok after nighmares.. think dd2 is suffering from them as well [sigh]..

ts only ever but tiaras from the disney store as the normally have dd1 favourite princess on them...

lovely visit by dsd yesterday girls thrilled to see her eve dd2 which was fab for her and h made a huge effort!!! her baby is due in feb so getting quite exciting now!!! which reminds me hip will need blocks with the name "bella"... not my fav name but am keeping quiet Grin..

hope dd2 is ok now crispy tis horrible when they hurt themselves [hugs]..

bibi dd1 wants bunk beds, hate her own bed but it is a perfectly good bed so holdig firm for now Smile..

hip no idea what went wrong with brownies, they just weren't cooked underneath so a googy sticky mess.. will retry today Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 16/11/2010 09:08

TS tiara no.1 is a winner for the sparkly princess vibe, and if it makes you feel any better I've done no shopping yet either - impending redundancy and all that Wink

Think DS is having bad dreams too, his sleep at night has been quite disturbed (although he still naps like the dead Hmm). I ended up having to get in with him at 4.30am, so a big thank you to Crisp for her tip-off about getting a full size single bed Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 16/11/2010 10:06

enya i'll be in touch via fb with links to fabric etc Smile Really pleased you had a nice time yday

star it was indeed v good advice that i followed too and often think of crisp when i'm in bed with ds!

bbbbbbb yes please to a coffee. think we'r in the same boat as you today. dd still really quite poorly, wish i could do more to help her. ds still coughing but seems a bit better. at least we haven't got any wee where it's not wanted!

ts i like the first one (second link didn't work for me). i'd ignore your dh's opinion... he's a man, what do they know about tiarras?! GrinI hope R feels better soon

crispy how's E this morning? i'm v impressed how ahead you are with L's party and esp well don on finding her pressie Grin

bibi your sleeping plan makes perfect sense...in theory it works wonderfully!

HippyHippopotamus · 16/11/2010 10:21

can someone tell me if i enjoyed reading "a room with a view" please? book group this afternoon and i haven't finished either book Blush

also, we're off to wales this weekend and i need to decide how me,dd and ds are getting there.

Option A
I drive, DH gets train after work and meets us in wales
pros
ds contained in car seat!
cons
i'm so tired every day, not sure i can do a 4hr drive
is dd ok in the car seat for that long?

option B
DH drives over on his own after work, i get the train with dd and ds
pros
dd not stuck in car seat
ds loves going on the train!
cons
i will spend the whole journey chasing him up and down the carriage
not sure about buses from the station to the hotel but i'm sure there must be one...

option C
we all drive together in the evening
pros
dh there to help
cons
its already a long drive so we can't really stop for long so not great for dd
not great for ds either because we'd be getting to wales at midnight

dh unfortunately can't take any time off work so we're limited to leaving friday evening and returning sunday evening

please help me decide!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 16/11/2010 10:28

I'd do option A with a reasonable service station break in the middle.

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/11/2010 10:41

Where in Wales? If we are en-route, you are welcome to come here Friday (about 2hr drive?) and then DH come and meet you, or we could pick you up from the station and DH drive here and take you onwards?

DD2 good this morning, after kicking us for an hour and a half solid last night Hmm

Love the tiara's TS. I vote for No1

Glad someone listened to my advice re beds Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 16/11/2010 10:45

hmm, think i'm swaying towards A too. i believe coffee will be my co-driver

ooh crisp, that might be an even more cunning idea... i'm off to google...thanks for the offer
re dd2..i'm sure they were loving kicks Grin

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/11/2010 10:49

We have nothing in the diary on a Friday so suits us well Smile

HippyHippopotamus · 16/11/2010 10:50

hmm, it would add a bit of a loop to the journey... would be cool to see you though... what are your plans for friday? oh, hang on, its the day before L's party. surely you'll be running round like a crazy thing sorting that out won't you? i completely understand if you want to change your mind!!

HippyHippopotamus · 16/11/2010 10:55

you answered my question before i asked it!

oooh this may well be a plan... if you're 100% serious you want to be invaded! ooh i get to see what paradise looks like Smile

UrsulaUndress · 16/11/2010 10:55

Ooh hippy I'd take up Crisp's offer if I were you!

Re. Room with a View, perhaps you enjoyed the extreme portraits of e.g. Cecil and the other fella? did you perhaps think the plot relied a bit too much on coincidence but were happy enough to go along with it because the pace & writing were so enjoyable? Did you think it was a bit like a Jane Austen novel, a happy story of romance overlaid on social satire?

TS I will just give the more infrequent posters a couple of days to add / remove selves to list and I'll send info to people on Friday, how about that?

Hope babbaCrisp ok today and lump delumpening Sad

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/11/2010 10:55

Have FB'd you Hip

CrispyTheCrisp · 16/11/2010 10:56

LOL ursula, i see why you are so good with words - you just make up your own Grin

UrsulaUndress · 16/11/2010 10:57

Grin much easier than learning real ones Grin
