I'm here trying to write one half of a fictional telephone conversation about driving lesson prices. Beckett, eat your heart out. Grin

what happened with the brownies?

salta · 15/11/2010 14:18

nice educational trip to Starbucks to climb on the furniture and drink coffee this morning. Only improved further by the fact that they had a fire drill so we could see the nee-naw men as well.

BibiBelle · 15/11/2010 16:53

Hips - yes feckers - I sent them on Thurs to ENSURE they would be there on time and they haven't arrived yet this happened only once before with VG's dbrother and it's all very mortifying, which reminds me....

HippyHippopotamus · 15/11/2010 18:00

don't worry bibi, i'm sure she'll understand that it really wasn't your fault. did you get any joy with the PO?

which reminds me... yday, i spent quite a while phoning different cab firms to get a good price for DH's journey home from airport to here. best price from a company i've heard of (ie not a flybynight dodgie cab firm) was £35 so i booked it. and told dh what i'd arranged. spoke to dh this morning and he'd been charged £45 Angry i was not a happy bunny! so, i phoned the cab firm and they said they'd investigate and phone me back. half hour later the owner phoned, v apologetic, reckons the driver asked for £35 and was surprised when dh handed over £45 Hmm he thought dh was being v generous with his tip Hmm Anyhow, within 10mins of the owner phoning me, the door bell rung and it was one of the drivers with a £10 for me Grin Now that is customer service!
I reckon its mine and i think dh will probably agree! sooo, what shall i spend my £10 on?

CrispyTheCrisp · 15/11/2010 18:55

Thanks hippy Smile

Home safe and sound now, and other than a little subdued and an interesting profile she seems fine. We will have her in with us tonight, just to be sure.

Grrrr for non-arriving brownies. I expect some postman smelt the loveliness from within and couldn't resist! Hope you get it sorted.

Wonderful news enya. You have kicked ass like a fab Daisy Duke. I really, really hope DH knows what he very nearly lost

LOL @ Owl sex Grin

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 15/11/2010 20:26

Poor littlest Crisp, hope she feels well again in no time. This afternoon I watched my friend's son come skidding into the room, trip and fall eye socket-first against the corner of a coffee table They sure know how to mess themselves up, these two year olds.

UrsulaUndress · 15/11/2010 20:37

Yes we thought the postman had eaten my bro's too but they did turn up in the end and were still absolutely lovely apparently! He says his post is vv unreliable, in his neck of London I mean.

Crispy what happened to the crispette?

enya I'm glad he's copping on Smile much nicer for you and everyone.

TwilightSurfer · 15/11/2010 20:56

I have tried to read and type on here 5 different times today. My hope is to catch up later. Much love!

BibiBelle · 15/11/2010 21:26

slathering arnica all round - you'll remember the photos of D's triangular head a few weeks ago Blush gentle hugs from here.

the post office handed a form to me and told me to send it off - I might hear in 3/4wks HmmAngry will have to send her some more tomorrow.

Ursula, that's the only other time - am still mortified BlushBlushBlush

enya - I hope you know how proud we all are of you, well done dah-ling. Long may it continue

am sitting hovering on the buy button for these bunks Not quite M&S but seem ok and the M&S ones have gone up in price. Will all end in tears when we have to build them. Anyone had any furniture from Argos before?

blueberryboybait · 15/11/2010 21:33

Evening :)

I hadn't realised just how much broccoli DD2 had eaten last night - I had most of it back via an alternative exit this afternoon. She really has mastered chewing and swallowing which took DD1 a while to get right. Her hand to mouth co-ordination is also awesome. She watched Dh eating toast this morning and go so furious about him not giving her some that he relented and she sat happily on his lap chewing away at a crust, stopping occasionally to smile with pride at him. DD1 loved nursery today, she ate 2 lunches - 1 hot and a sweep of the salad bar. She is like a whirling dervish at the moment, I had to put her outside today when we got home before she ran head first into something becaue she can no longer walk anywhere!

I had soemthing else to say but it has escepte from my very small brain!

OP posts:
blueberryboybait · 15/11/2010 21:37

and my spell check is not working either!

OP posts:
BibiBelle · 15/11/2010 22:01

is the quest for the perfect bunk bed as impossible as the quest for the perfect double buggy Hmm

loving the sound of the whirling dervish Grin
