A fifth boy. It can't be true.

TheNewLegume · 26/10/2010 15:30

Hurrah for Merlion, too. That is wonderful.

TheNewLegume · 26/10/2010 15:31

Bibi - do you want me to check over the blog. Heading out now for a bit, but can do it before six.

Bloodberrybatbait · 26/10/2010 15:35

Leggy - CONGRATULATIONS Auntie Leggy, they are probably one of those families who would have 20 boys if they kept trying for a girl.

ScreamingTerror · 26/10/2010 15:39

YAY! Merlion!!!!! and YAY! MerlionBabyBump!!!!!

Have fun Ursula!

Bibi you are so fancy with a blog for all your ventures.

Have just told DH to tell FIL to just stay with us this weekend. He's driving up for something else, alone. DH will enjoy his company and he LOVES the DCs so much. It will be fun (work but fun).

HippyHippopotamus · 26/10/2010 15:40

and merlion SmileSmileSmile

ScreamingTerror · 26/10/2010 15:46

Congrats AuntyLegume!!

BibiBelle · 26/10/2010 16:45

lovely news all round!

Legume - if you wish to peruse that would be brilliant, it's on the same log in and I'm not to sure it isn't too dark etc Trying to keep it basic as I don't have as much time to give it as the KnB one

have had friends round this afternoon so not achieved much Blush not holding out much hope for tonight either after the lackof sleep we had Hmm D sleeping now but I think I should waken her soon

TheNewLegume · 26/10/2010 17:36

Post edited, links edited and dinner slightly singed. Blush Will check the boxes later. Let me know if it's ok or no ...

TheNewLegume · 26/10/2010 17:50

Can we take a vote on the use of italics though - I'd go for plain font as it's much easier to read, but that's up to you, of course.

BibiBelle · 26/10/2010 18:32

burnt offerings for tea here too and it was only fish fingers Blush

not sure about the italics myself, which was why putting to the vote of Aug 08 ladies. I was wondering about using them to match the shop sign which is also going to be on tsirts/bags/tea towels Smile happy for democratic vote on it though Grin

does dnephew have a lovely new name?

CrispyTheCorpse · 26/10/2010 18:42

Evening Smile

Good day, well i think so anyway Confused. Went to Wagamama's for lunch and spent the afternoon shopping so that bit was definitely good. Need to chat work bit through with DH and then will let you know for sure Grin.

Hurrah for MerlionBean beating away Smile. Definitely sit back and enjoy

Red WOW on 5 boys [shock. A whole football team Grin. I think i would be plannning a small extension and installing a padded cell to go and rock away in occasionaly! Many congratulations to them on their new little bundle of joy Smile

Salta i hope option a) was observed by the MiniSalts

bibi I went for this wardrobe in the end and the 7 drawer chest we looked at previously. The wardrobe is expensive, but hopefully being made of solid oak will actually stand the test of time. Also the drawers have self closing draw runners which did sway me Blush

Red I don't mind the italics but the plain may well be easier to read I agree. Diff to tell without seeing it in the flesh though

ST You are hereby awarded 15 brownie points for inviting FIL to stay. These may be redeemed at any time Grin

CrispyTheCorpse · 26/10/2010 18:45

Or even 'drawer' runners Hmm

BibiBelle · 26/10/2010 18:52

crisp - blog here for you to have your vote on. I stupidly started having a fiddle with it after Red so have knackered it slightly Blush but there is one section in the middle not in italics so you can now compare Grin

I think I'm swaying towards using them Confused

wardrobe is lovely btw and should prove exactly what you need. very similar to the one I'm trying to get priced as a built in job in the girls room however all the joiners here are too busy, sodding recession my arse Hmm

CrispyTheCorpse · 26/10/2010 19:02

I think i like the bigger fonts as italics, but the smaller stuff does scan a bit better in normal font. Saying that, i like the italics against the purple on the right, so am about as much as a chocolate teapot Hmm

BibiBelle · 26/10/2010 19:07

Grin decisiveness is an attractive quality!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 26/10/2010 19:23

I err towards plain, just to confuse things :)

CrispyTheCorpse · 26/10/2010 19:36
Sad
BibiBelle · 26/10/2010 19:47
Grin
BibiBelle · 26/10/2010 19:59

just heard from my dad who has been to see the specialist today and has been told there is nothing more to be done for his lungs. The medicine he is already on is best/most expensive so it will all be about management now Sad[sods]

am now eating pickled onion monster munch and am aware it's comfort eating Blush either that or I start smoking again Grin

CrispyTheCorpse · 26/10/2010 20:25

Oh no Bibi Sad. Pretty sure that's where Dad is too. Sucks Sad

I am eating cheese Blush

Anyone up for a meet up, 18th June next year, Croke Park?

FjorgynAndHotWater · 26/10/2010 20:52

Why is my DS sitting on the sofa with his noisy book??? It's waaay past bed time but he wailed and refused to lie down again Hmm I need a drink...

Bibi and crispy v Sad about both your dads. I hope the management can keep the trouble at bay for a long time. Sad

red Shock 5 boys congratulations to your sister Smile

Ooh hurrah to you too merlion Grin

FjorgynAndHotWater · 26/10/2010 20:54

Did you know you no longer need to every word to italicise stuff, just one at the beginning and one at the end^ Shock wonder if it works with crossing out

ScreamingTerror · 26/10/2010 20:55

bibi that's not good. is his current medicine doing what he needs it too? it's terrible with doctors say things like that. i am happy to research alternative ways to help.

i think the italics on the site look fine. if you don't use italics what other font options are available. with the name you'd need something fancy in my opinion.

waiting on the worst wind storm in 70 years so folks are saying. we've had a doozey of say so far with wind and yesterday it shut down a highway during rush hour, ripping trees and powerlines to shreds. popped by the grocery store for a fresh loaf of bread just in case the power goes out. dh at the office and will stay and help in things get bad. mind you he'll stay and help IN the building. he's not done outside storm work in YEARS. not that he wouldn't...he's just skilled in other areas now.

crisp, i totally like that piece of furniture. i need to find something for dd2's things. right now the hanging things are in their room but anything else in a drawer in the guest room.

as for a guest...fil WANTS to stay at the hotel. he "says" he doesn't want to intrude as we've got a "full house."Hmm i read that two completely different ways. dh told me to stop thinking about it and consider how to pull together a late lunch party for him and dh's brother's family.Hmm feather's still crumpled though because i feel my accommodations aren't adequate...Biscuit i'll focus on the late lunch and mind my p's & q's.

found some more receipts so i should go figure out the balance again. grrrrrr!!!
