Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bloodberrybatbait · 22/10/2010 08:13

Hippy what about a book about the human body or another factual book? Please DS is in cute rather than monster mode.

DD1 seems to have caught the challenging mode! DD2 has her first tooth coming and is being rather sweet but not sleeping that well.

Salta - I know you don't need areason to be proud of your kids but have they been extra special?

Sorry to have been not totally present atm life seems to be haring past at 3000million miles an hour and when the end of the day comes I just collapse into a huge heap of blubbery jelly that still has 400 things to do before bed! I promise I will try and be better now that half term is here.

enyahadenough · 22/10/2010 08:44

Morning ladies

my lovely darling uncle died this morning at 3am SadSad

in a complete mess but glad his suffering is over. Need big hugs today xxx

Bloodberrybatbait · 22/10/2010 08:51

HippyHippopotamus · 22/10/2010 09:12

enya, i wish you were closer so i could give you a real hug

enyahadenough · 22/10/2010 09:18

Thank you. It's gonna be a hard few days. Will need to fly home to Dublin for funeral but at least it's half term so dd1 won't miss school. Worried about my dad but he is a fighter and so strong xx

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 22/10/2010 09:26

Sorry to hear of your loss enya :(

Merlion · 22/10/2010 10:13

So sorry to hear of your loss enya

Bibi hope all goes ok today with the funeral will be thinking of you all

DS in monster mode and all I want to do is sleep. Roll on 7.30 - 2 1/4 hours to go...

UrsulaUndressUp · 22/10/2010 10:36

Oh enya Sad I am so sorry. How hard for you and your dad.

If you are over here and need anything done or the girls minded or anything of that nature please let me know.

enyahadenough · 22/10/2010 11:08

Thank you so much ursula. Trying to get my head around the logistics of it all. My dad reckons the removal will be mon with funeral tues. H is stepping up to the plate massive and has offered either to stay and look after girls or come with me.

Best option I think is for girls to stay at home I think.

Thinking of you today bibi xxx

FjorgynAndHotWater · 22/10/2010 12:46

Oh enya I am so sorry Sad hope it all goes OK for you x

ScreamingTerror · 22/10/2010 14:22

(((((((((( HUGS ))))))))))))

ScreamingTerror · 22/10/2010 14:29

my little monster has figured out how to turn the door knob and open her bedroom door. she's also figured out how to use a box, riding toy or bucket as a stepping stool so she can climb over the baby gate. last night was very interesting because she didn't want to go to sleep and we had no way to keep her contained.Hmm in order to get a shower yesterday i had to lock her in her bedroom. well, her sister locked the door from the inside because she was with her. i had the key with me on the outside. this is all becoming a royal pain in the ass!

Silkstalkings · 22/10/2010 16:40

Arse. Car bill came to 587 of your new pounds no lessShock. Still needs a new exhaust manifold and tax is due end of next month. But garage says if we'd bought the car in this condition it would have cost about the same as what we paid for it plus this work so basically we have just spread our costs and I'm just pleased it hasn't actually broken down on me.

Our Devon trip has been postponed til Monday due to plumbing work on the cottage. Not a problem except I had emptied the house of food (poor DH) so will have to go shopping tomorrow.

Hugs Enya.

ScreamingTerror Tough one.

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 22/10/2010 17:19

Ouch! That deserves a Halloween shriek Silkystalk [hshock]

CrispyTheCorpse · 22/10/2010 17:59

Silk have you remembered to change your Tesco order for the cottage? Ouch for the spondooli's but at least you know now the car will be in tip top condition

Friend over for most of today which has been lovely. The DC's have eaten (twice), made cakes, watched Snow White, played outside (twice) and done some craft and jigsaws . At least today we have had electricity - yesterday it was off from 8.40 - 4.30 hence me getting very little work done and then having to work until 11pm. Angry, even though they had told us about it! Worst of it was that the cleaners couldn't bloody hoover Shock. [Apologies for sounding like my diamonds are too sparkly and my Jimmy Choos are too tight Blush]

enya so sorry to hear about your lovely Uncle. Thank goodness DH is stepping up and i hope you get to have a good few days to spend with your dad {{{{Hugs}}}}

ursula totally, totally sympathise with the working from home nightmare. Gah.

enyahadenough · 22/10/2010 18:23

Silks ouch echoing crispy.. lorra cash for your poor motor.. hopefully you will have a wonderful holiday..

ST its all go your house atm!! Dd2 loves going upstairs to destroy her sister's room lol..

Booked flights for Dublin, solo trip, DH is looking after girls but they are booked into cm and holiday club to allow him to work and take a day off when i get back.. dad holding out strong but counting the days til i get there..

Massive vat of wine to be drunk Smile

CrispyTheCorpse · 22/10/2010 18:46

Glad to hear it Enya Smile - how long are you going for?

Bibi - can you help out here if you have a free nano second?

ScreamingTerror · 22/10/2010 20:31

Enya glad to hear things are working out despite the occasion. Yes all is a go in my house.

DD2 will not unlatch from me from 3PM on. I can't get anything down without her either duct-taped to my leg or screaming because I'm not duct-taped to her.Hmm I've doing my darnest detective work to try and figure out her issues. Failing at every turn.

Crisp, maybe your Louis Vuitton is packed too full.Hmm

Silk, I'm ignoring the same type of mechanic bill on our work truck. It's parked forever as far as I'm concerned.

As you all have seen on FB my neighbor's cat died. Because of me though the died peacefully in her arms. I hate I couldn't have been to his aide any quicker but I am so very thankfully for what I was able to do. I hope those dogs know KARMA sucks!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 22/10/2010 21:10

Oh TS that is v sad about the cat, but much better to die being cuddled than ripped apart by dogs. Well done to you for what you did and I hope your neighbour is OK.

enya that's great that H is manning up so you can concentrate on you and your dad being sad. I am so sorry mate, death fucking sucks ass Sad

My mum and step dad are trying to cram v much fun into the time he has left, and are currently on the ferry to Amsterdam. Only a short trip and I don't expect they'll spend any time eating space cake in a cafe, although I wish they would (and I was there to see it...) we are having an early night here [liar] in anticipation of a sleepover visit from star tomorrow [triple hurrah]Grin

silky Shock ouch! And there was me wincing over a £50 oil change bill. Encouraging to know thata you've increased the Mystery Machine's value though and hope you have a fabbo time on your holiday Smile

crispy, as always you exhaust me with what you manage to pack into one day [wonderwoman]

HippyHippopotamus · 22/10/2010 21:40

what's this about a sleepover? and why weren't we all invited?!!

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 22/10/2010 21:55

Is anyone else watching The Event? Exciting stuff. I'm sitting on the sofa with a glass of Schloer getting drawn into its over-the-top mysteries.

DH had a bit of a shocker yesterday morning and thought he may be called away for work all weekend. If you look at the 2nd story on the BBC News website you will see why Shock
