ScreamingTerror · 19/10/2010 22:18

Star (((hug)))

FjorgynAndHotWater · 19/10/2010 22:24

star I hope you enjoy your curry and beer Smile

TS good luck with the washing and putting away. Putting away definitely most important!

Was looking forward to a couple of episodes of Buffy tonight but DS is having other ideas. After going to bed with a few tears he started yelling about ten minutes later and despite calpol and extra warm milk he is refusing to go back to sleep Hmm currently rolling around on the floor in his sleeping bag, giggling. He was hot but cooled down thanks to the calpol, oh now he is playing with his tractor Hmm

CrispyTheCorpse · 19/10/2010 22:42

LOL at ThorTheTerrible and his ToyTractor Grin. Hope you manage to get some zzzzzz's tonight

I have a feckin infuriating day, with 2hrs wasted getting the girls to have their picture taken at the preschool. Went out and bought DD1 some new boots, which rubbed her toes after and hour so now i have to find more time to take them back . I have just finished work and am cream crackered, so off for a quick read in bed

Star I hope DS settles ok in his bed and you get some time to enjoy DH's birthday. Shock at crap customer service from JL - a complaint email i feel should be wending its merry way.......

TS My washing pile is NEVER cleared. Currently I have 2 clean lots in the wash basket and 2 dirty loads. They will not be done tomorrow either as i already have 35144589545 things on my to do list Confused

Oh, and our heating has been on for ages, since Mum & Dad came down and they get really cold, i seem to have forgotten to turn it off Grin

bibi my lovely. All the VERY best for tomorrow - your new venture WILL be fab and we want to see lots of pics of our very own glamorous high street retailer please Smile

ScreamingTerror · 20/10/2010 02:15

9PM and both girls are still up!Angry

DD2 has been behaving like a drunk for hours. She even smacked me upside the head for absolutely no reason and started laughing because as you know THAT is funny. NOT! She climbed up on the bedside dresser and did a stage dive down on her sister who was attempting to go to sleep. DD1 then gets momentarily goody-two-shoes-ish, "SHE JUMPED ON MY HEAD! BOOO HOOOO!! BOOOO HOOOO!" Two seconds later she was giggling and instigating more mayhem. They are now separated. DD2 is bawling her eyes out in her room while DD1 is attempting to sleep in the guest room where DH is watching some Cake Wars show and playing a game on the computer. I'm sure she'll be asleep REAL QUICK.Hmm I don't know WHAT happened at 3PM today but life here has been BONKERS since.

Laundry report: 3 loads washed, dried and put away. 1 load washed and dried but still sitting in the dryer. 1 load washed but still sitting in the washer. DCs are to blame for the delay.AngryGRRRRR!!!

Merlion · 20/10/2010 04:25

Bibi just popping on to wish you best of luck for this morning's grand opening. When a new shop opens here it is common practice for other local business to give huge floral displays to be placed outside the shop front and also for there to be a lion dance so here goes

ST hope you have a good night's sleep after all that!

blueberryboybait · 20/10/2010 07:01

Merlion - I can just see that going down a storm in Bibiland [hsmile]

On that note Bibi Good luck for a fantastic opening day.

TS - we too have a laundry mountain now it has decided to rain!

Crispy - Why so long for school piccies? We got DD1's back yesterday and they are too cute.

DD1 awake at 6 wanting Papa made so much noise she woke DD2 who lay in her cot singing at the top of her voice preventing anymore sleep happening, DH dumped DD1 downstairs with my and went back to bed leaving a sobbing DD1 who just wanted him - his response.....'Well there is no point in both of us being awake at this time of day' he was right I could still be in bed!

CrispyTheCorpse · 20/10/2010 08:16

LOL Merlion - that has just brightened up our breakfast table with DD1 dancing Smile. If you had given us more notice, i am a dab hand at impersonating the arse end of a lion Grin. Not so sure about pole jumping though Hmm.

Blueberry I had to go and collect DD2 from the CM, go to the school (30 mins), then the photographer was 45 mins late Angry, 15 mins for pics and 30 mins for drop offs in reverse. It cut right into the day as was at 12.30. Grrrrrrr. Have a Grrrr yourself for MrBlue's very unhelpful comment.

TS sounds like you are coping very well with your school break Wink

I have managed to phone my Dad and wish him Happy Birthday, so now to No2 on the neverending things to do list. Laters.....

FjorgynAndHotWater · 20/10/2010 08:41

Morning all Smile

Very strange night with DS, took him to bed with me at about 11, he chatted for a bit then zonked out. DH was going to put him in his own bed when he came up but DS threatened to wake so was still in our bed when he woke at 2.30am sobbing broken-heartedly and nothing would comfort him Sad after sitting cuddling him for half an hour he wriggled down to the foot end of the bed and fell straight back to sleep Hmm. Apparently he is full of the joys of spring this morning...

Good luck Bibi Grin

HippyHippopotamus · 20/10/2010 08:45

but blueberry to quote my dh in a similar situation... as women we're used to not sleeping [hhmm]

not meant to be here, we've got toddler group this morning but just popped on to say good morning

UrsulaUndressUp · 20/10/2010 10:54

Good luck to Casa Bibi!

enyahadenough · 20/10/2010 12:01

Oh guys i have f'd up massively with a friend of mine.. we were due to meet today to do some shopping for her and have a coffee... me and dd2 both have colds are were not really up for it.. anyway got there waited and then got txt saying she was struggling to park {not a problem tho there are thousands of car spaces at this shopping centre particularily at 9.30am} anyway got a text from h about something or other responded basically saying that i wanted to meet friend for coffee but did not want/need to tag along for the shopping bit! what did i do?? sent the stupid text to my friend SadSad...

she turned up 15 minutes later, asked if the text was for her i said no, i am so sorry i wa bang out of order which i was explained that me and dd2 didn't feel great so just wanted to do coffee.. she said that she didn't want to be around me and walked off looking really upset... Sad..

sent her another message appologising saying i was bang out of order but feel hopeless..

i am such a twit sometimes AngrySad

HippyHippopotamus · 20/10/2010 12:28

oh enya, i don't know what to say or what to suggest. will a hug help?

enyahadenough · 20/10/2010 13:17

yes please Smile thank you, i was just in one of those moods iykwim, no excuse! i guess now in a way i know how my sil felt when she sent that stupid txt to me!

oh well, lets hope that she can forgive me and my silly comments Blush

Silkstalkings · 20/10/2010 13:33

Go Bibi Go Bibi Go (Don't upset the rhythmGrin.)

Enya She'll calm down at some point and see your point. Is she on FB? Keep posting how ill you are feeling.

I feel rubbish because DH is stressed about money. I lost work yesterday too because DS1 had been sick so I had him home.
Am supposed to be going to Devon on Saturday, feel so unprepared. Need to do a ton of washing and research what's on as DH will be staying home with the laptop. Car is at garage til Friday being worked on at vast expense - not sure I could cope with 3 kids on train for 4hrs by myself! But I have managed to do a Tesco order for delivery to cottage, yay. Just want to sit and knit all day long.

Silkstalkings · 20/10/2010 13:35

And that was NOTHING like your SIL's fellony Enya

enyahadenough · 20/10/2010 13:42

Thanks silk u made me chuckle! Unfortunately she is not on fb let's hope she is the bigger person and all will get back to normal when she has calmed down.

You sound exhausted silk hopefully u get everything sorted in time for your hols and have a relaxing stress free time hugs xxx

HippyHippopotamus · 20/10/2010 19:14

hope the hug arrived ok enya

3 children on a train? nope
3 children on a train for 4 hours? absolutely no way!!!

ScreamingTerror · 20/10/2010 19:23

Enya, you should pop her a note relating you would have said the same thing "basically" to her when she finally arrived and it's been had been a shit day in a shit year and you hope you don't loose a friend over it.

ScreamingTerror · 20/10/2010 19:39

lol! 3 children on a train for 4 hours. just the thought gives me a panic attack.

dd2 is coming into the terrible twos like a lion. if she is redirected or told no it's an all out screamfest. when home i'm just walking her to her room and shutting the door. when out in the truck, i'm locking her in her carseat until she's done. when out, like today down at our neighbor's, i'm ignoring and hoping everyone else does too. 3 more years of this is NOT giving me happy feelings.

very angry right now about the dog attack in my neighbor's yard. poor cat would be dead this moment if i hadn't run over there screaming. i had to beat the blasted dogs off. it was ludicrous. still waiting for word on his condition. he was upright and growling when my neighbor loaded him in his carrier but his hind leg didn't look too good.Sad

ScreamingTerror · 20/10/2010 19:42

oh and the interruption was dh calling asking if i took his credit card. nope.Hmm seems he couldn't find it. i suggested he tear his wallet apart and his car and then call the restaurant where he had dinner. he did all three and.......it was at the restaurant. we are lucky he had an honest server who locked it in the safe over night. just wondering why they didn't attempt to call him since our number is listed in the phone directory exactly as it is listed on his card????HmmHmm

CrispyTheCorpse · 20/10/2010 20:40

Evening all. Busy day but lots accomplished which is good Smile. I have finally extracted my head out of the sand re DD1's party and have decided to do it at the Gym. I reckon it will cost the same as at home (as i would provide food and drink for adults if at home), the children are fed and entertained and the best bit is that you can leave them there and go and sit in the jacuzzi, and all parents get a day pass to the gym/pool etc. No brainer really Grin

TS sorry to hear of you sad day Sad. But you did a good thing Lady Smile. Oh, and re the restaurant, either their brain cells are insufficiently developed to actually take any proactive action, or otherwise they are opportunistic crooks Grin

enya have you heard again from your friend. I am inclined to follow TS's suggestion as that really is the truth - you are sorry and you would probably have said the same to her face once she had turned up

silk is there any way you can 'line up' some more work for when you get back so that DH doesn't feel like there is no light at the end of the tunnel?

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/10/2010 21:23

Crispy the party idea sounds fab. A day pass to the gym vs a plastic cup of warm box wine? No contest Grin

ST huge British hugs, and much respect for your kindness and lioness tendencies x

Bibi hope all went brilliantly today :)

I have an awful hacking cough that has been going on for the last week or so, am really fed up with it now. This is my excuse for lying on the sofa watching The Apprentice with my fist in my mouth - who are these clowns?

However, I am delighted to report that DS spent a happy first night in his big boy bed and I only had to get up once at 4.30am to extract him from a shelf Grin The bed is alongside a big Ikea shelving thing, not as random as it sounds! He's zedding away again tonight and seems to really like it, bless his dear little heart. I love him so much. I am one lucky girl :)

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/10/2010 21:44

Btw, I made this for our tea tonight - it was delicious and very Hot Mama friendly, so thought I'd share :)

CrispyTheCorpse · 20/10/2010 21:56

Oi Star. Warm wine? Tsk. And you have never met DH who would not allow a box of wine to cross our threshold Grin

Fish recipe looks scrummy Smile

Off to try and upload some pics. See you in a few days hours...

aDarkStarWithStrangeWays · 20/10/2010 22:06

lol Crisp, clearly projecting my own standards there Grin
