Just posted a link on FB to some pics from this month of my two Dcs if you;re interested. DH doesn't like having pics of them on my actual FB for 'everyone' to see hence why there's none there.

Morning all! :)

Ok, as promised...

July 2010: Our babies are growing, they're grabbing their toys and soon they'll be throwing!

July 2010: They're newborns no more, now smiling and laughing and growing galore.

July 2010: The first Christmas is coming, with shiny new toys they'll no doubt be gumming.

Any of those any good? :) If anyone has any ideas for subject matter, let me know and I can make a silly rhyme easily enough.

I'm afraid we're planning on going against the wait until 6 months advice before weaning here in the Spirael household. Shock I'm going to go ahead sometime in November, but just offering suitable food rather than insisting she takes it.

The doctor and HV agree with me, as I appear to have a very hungry caterpillar baby and seriously can't seem to get the milk into her quick enough. Confused I'm currently feeding in excess of 12 times per day, and that's when she's not having a growth spurt.

Last night she fed on me for an hour, immediately downed a full 7 fl oz of formula in record time, then fed on me for another two hours without spitting anything up. Hmm

She then slept 10pm to 9am...

She has hollow legs it seems! She also watches anyone eating in absolute fascination and is now trying to chew on her hands/toys at the same time, even if she's only just been fed beforehand.

I will point out though that she is very low risk of any allergy problems as there's nothing in either family and there's no asthma or eczema either. :) DH and I, and our siblings, began to be weaned at 4 months too and somehow made it to adulthood without problem.

Anyway, can I join the club of liking the clothes at Boots? Grin I wandered in there the other day and picked up a few things, as I'm starting to build up Mindy's 6-9 month sleepsuits collection as she's going to be in them by next month. They had some lovely ones for girls that weren't pink!! I get so bored with pink as the only option for girls, I love greens, blues and purples myself.

Also got some lovely long sleeved bibs ready for weaning which have a picture of an owl on. My Mum loves owls, so I figured she'd appreciate the owl bibs when we visit over Christmas and she can give her DGD bits of puréed Christmas Dinner. Wink

OpensCryptandRises · 23/10/2010 09:43

Phew, really?

I can't even see it on my newsfeed that i posted tho.

i vote to keep the fb group (if it works as you've said), it's useful to have somewhere to discuss more private things.

morning all,

Ive got to stop falling asleep feeding Dylan at night, Im sure it makes his sleep worse.
He woke at 1 (came in our bed) then 3 then 5 then didnt really sleep much til DP took him at 7ish so I could get some decent sleep, in which I dreamt v vividly that we got married Hmm I had the ring on my finger and everything!

Quite disappointed when I woke up lol.

Not upto much today, seeing parents and doing food shopping, the weather is crap.

Chulita · 23/10/2010 11:43

dh whatever you do dont tell mlic but S has been sleeping a lot better since I put him in his own room and feed him in a chair before popping him back down again. Co-sleeping's all very well but he was a lot more restless (mind you, it could be his age, I can never tell at this age whether it's them growing up or something I've changed Confused

mlic even if S is only waking up once a night at the moment, L is her usual wakeful glorious self so not much more sleep in this house! And it's all a phase so I'm just waiting for S to fall apart again... thanks for faffing about with the fb group :)

spirael I like the first one.

OpensCryptandRises · 23/10/2010 11:48

tsc aw, come back to us!

mlic mine would just snigger at me being called a girl Wink 40 next year - jeez, worked out earlier that i could be a grandma to some of these babies Shock

I still can't see it but if it just says I posted to the discussion group and not the comment itself then that's cool

Chulita · 23/10/2010 12:37

Anyone know how I can get a replacement for the maternity exemption certificate? I lost mine during the move and I'm sure dd hid it it's somewhere but I can't find it anywhere.
