Morning all! :)
Ok, as promised...
July 2010: Our babies are growing, they're grabbing their toys and soon they'll be throwing!
July 2010: They're newborns no more, now smiling and laughing and growing galore.
July 2010: The first Christmas is coming, with shiny new toys they'll no doubt be gumming.
Any of those any good? :) If anyone has any ideas for subject matter, let me know and I can make a silly rhyme easily enough.
I'm afraid we're planning on going against the wait until 6 months advice before weaning here in the Spirael household.
I'm going to go ahead sometime in November, but just offering suitable food rather than insisting she takes it.
The doctor and HV agree with me, as I appear to have a very hungry caterpillar baby and seriously can't seem to get the milk into her quick enough.
I'm currently feeding in excess of 12 times per day, and that's when she's not having a growth spurt.
Last night she fed on me for an hour, immediately downed a full 7 fl oz of formula in record time, then fed on me for another two hours without spitting anything up.
She then slept 10pm to 9am...
She has hollow legs it seems! She also watches anyone eating in absolute fascination and is now trying to chew on her hands/toys at the same time, even if she's only just been fed beforehand.
I will point out though that she is very low risk of any allergy problems as there's nothing in either family and there's no asthma or eczema either. :) DH and I, and our siblings, began to be weaned at 4 months too and somehow made it to adulthood without problem.
Anyway, can I join the club of liking the clothes at Boots?
I wandered in there the other day and picked up a few things, as I'm starting to build up Mindy's 6-9 month sleepsuits collection as she's going to be in them by next month. They had some lovely ones for girls that weren't pink!! I get so bored with pink as the only option for girls, I love greens, blues and purples myself.
Also got some lovely long sleeved bibs ready for weaning which have a picture of an owl on. My Mum loves owls, so I figured she'd appreciate the owl bibs when we visit over Christmas and she can give her DGD bits of puréed Christmas Dinner.
